Comfortable bed Lovely breakfast, great selection of very fresh food. Buffet was excellent. Great location beside the Prom.
Dated room especially bathroom. No view as we were on second floor and window was quite high up and difficult to see out. Leisure centre very poor, the carpet in bedroom was quite dirty.
nice place right on sea front
location staff friendliness comfort of room and public areas
nothing we didn't l;ike
Room fab,food lovely,staff v helpful
Noisy wedding guests at 4am
RELAXATION, THE FOOD AND MORNING PAPER.
BREAKFAST SHOULD GO ON LONGER IN THE MORNING.
Internet a little slow to load programs (Youtube)
This was an overnight stay for us. There was a wedding on the night of our stay. It did get a bit noisy early hours of the morning but the hotel itself was excellent. It was easy to find with plenty of parking available. Would recommend.
Nothing to complain about or make comment on.
Staff were so friendly and nice.
Not a great choice on the children's dinner menu
The excellent location of the hotel on the promenade within easy to the city centre Good choice of food provided for breakfast. Friendly staff .
Very dated décor in top floor bedrooms Lack of air conditioning in the bed room. Lack of available parking spaces
Location, Breakfast, sauna
no wi-fi in our room until the 2nd night. no sleep due to wedding guests coming and going throughout the 2nd night.
Very comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice location across the street from the beach.
Comfortable clean room
Dining room lacks character
Food was excellent. Great variety for breakfast. Carvery excellent. Bar food and atmosphere great.
Coaches Erving up for over thirty minutes outside window at 11.30 Sunday night. Pool not great, changing area too small and too public. Found it a bit pricey.
Lovely clean room with lots of space. Lovely clean bathroom. Easy to use shower with instant hot water. Lovely breakfast with great helpful staff in restaurant. Dinner was lovely also.
Could hear band playing up to midnight but was quiet after that.
The beds were very comfortable. Rooms were clean.
I wouldn't rate this hotel as a 4 star. It's a good 3 star hotel. The staff were ok but as I mentioned were not trained to suit a 4 star hotel. They did their job well but it is just a job for them and it showed. I ordered room service as we got to our room and there was no ham or ballymaloe relish even though its on the menu. No ham!!!! We were there for a wedding on a Thursday night, €170 for a 3 star room, with 3 star service. I have paid a lot less for so much more and yes in Ireland also.
Thank youito Galway Bay for upgrade to lovely superior suite. I would commend Cáitin on reception, for her professionalism and lovely friendly manner. All over great need stay.
The leisure /spa facilities need to be refurbished. It is not 4*. The sauna has plastic chairs and only holds max 4 people. A cold shower is a must. The changing facilities need to be bigger with better showers, hairdryers and more room.
Friendliness was second to none
Room was v pricy for what it was. Needs a revamp however facilities were spotless and staff extremely efficient and friendly
The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful with particular mention for the breakfast staff. Breakfast itself was great, with very tasty bacon, sausages and black pudding. The room was very clean and comfortable with a great view over the bay. Car parking was free and very convenient. The hotel is situated a little way out from Galway centre, but this only a short bus ride away, with a stop right outside the hotel. In conclusion, good value for money, would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Only one small point, had burger from room service which was not the best.
As part of a wedding party everything had been pre-arranged. The food was excellent, the presentation was beautiful and the staff helpful. Next day we could (and did) continue the party in the small swimming pool.
Front desk staff did not have good enough local knowledge. We had to get to Cloonacaneen Castle for the ceremony, and they didn't know where it was or how long it would take to get there by taxi. Also didn't like being made to buy and wear a bathing cap in pool, though I gather this is an Ireland-wide public health measure and not the hotel's fault.
The area near the beach the lovely breakfast.
The rooms were quiet.
I did not think the food was very good.
Beds lovely and comfortable
No separate shower. had to climb into bath to shower.Not. enough variety in restaurant though we didn't try the bar food. but could fault the quality of what we had
The Lobby very comfortable. Breakfast was good.
