Lovely bar. Great staff.
Bed uncomfortable, too small.
location of our room which was over the bar and it was very difficult to relax so we had to leave the room. About 2 am the noise was terrible as people were talking very loudly below and I could not sleep, it was just the poor location of the room.
The bar area ,nice area to sit and relax.
Reception staff (male)bedroom across from gem, very basic. Breakfast was nice when we did get wet tray.Under table and floor not swept for weeks, general breakfast area very untidy.
The spa was closed which upset my Granddaughter, however, we were given passes to use the spa at a nearby hotel.
Lovely, friendly and extremely hospitable. Couldn't fault service, great place to hold a wedding!
Slightly dated decor but charming
Breakfast room staff all great
Workmen using jack hammer in morning outside but it was after 9 so time to be up for lovely breakfast anyway
Comfy bed, good location and tasty breakfast.
Breakfast was good. Staff were excellent in the breakfast area, Food was good
Bed was very uncomfortable. Pillows were awful. Room felt like a sauna in the middle of the night as was so warm. Lunch in the cafe was a joke. Ordered 2 toasted sandwiches which took so long(we had to ask what was taking so long) they were cold when we got them. The chips were obviously reheated and were awful. Definitely would not recommend the Cafe.
Top class breakfast-- lots of choice
We love this hotel so much and have gone here for the last 3 years at Christmas we travel with out now 2 year old and they make out visit so pleasurable
Nothing bad to say
Hospitality and cleanliness
First night in the hotel was on first floor can't sleep because of a noise down stairs of a party which nessciststing me moving to higher floor at 2 am !!.
Excellent breakfast Breakfast staff mostly excellent Reception staff excellent Rooms very clean, housekeeping very good.
young man behind bar unfriendly wifi down leisure centre, pool unavailable due to renovation, would of been nice to know prior to booking.
We decided to visit Xmas Markets for first time, weather has bonus too. From we arrived at hotel decor and Xmas atmosphere was brill... Rooms so nice, bed linen soo good and crisp. The breakfast was one of the best yum yum.. Again staff excellent. Will b back
Staff service was second to none. Really friendly and helpful staff.

We had to go home
The convenience of staying in Galway which enabled us to have an early start for our Christmas shopping
Location brilliant, great breakfast, very friendly staff in bistro.
hotel and food excellent
dissapointed the pool was not available
It was ok the breakfast was good
No water to drink in the room
Near enough to the city to walk or take a short taxi ride. Views of the sea lovely. Breakfast was very good. Service at night for bar-food was good. Check in and out very relaxed and efficient. Gerard was very helpful at reception. Bedroom was nicely decorated.
Car park difficult to navigate. Breakfast staff could probably have been a bit more attentive in terms of lifting dirty dishes and checking about tea and coffee top-ups.
Everything was just perfect.
We stayed before, but this time we got a room to the back, and were a bit disappointed. The smokers at the main door were very noisy and woke us up at midnight.
It was ideal for us as a family with children and total number of adults and children (11). Staff were most helpful particularly in the restaurant, and the front desk nothing was any trouble to them, which with children was really important. The fact that the leisure centre was under renovation was more than coped with by free access to the adjacent hotel.
We though that the dinner restaurant prices were on the steep side generally. At €30 plus for two courses and supplements for steak was though to be expensive as was that average price of wine at €27
Very helpful and polite staff Free wifi Free underground car park
Limited dinner menu selection Dinner was poor value for money for the size of the meat portions
