we were moved to rooms at Heather House because Trooperstown was being renovated. that nicer actually because we could walk to stores & eateries in the 'town.' Extremely helpful staff. She carried our bags up two flights of steps. open layout of room with dividers separating beds from main area was v nice.

Set in the Wicklow Mountains surrounded by landscaped gardens, Trooperstown Lodge is just 5 minutes’ drive from stunning Glendalough. Offering its own restaurant and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout, guests also have use of a drying room for wet gear and walking boots. Each bedroom comes with a TV, DVD player and tea/coffee-making facilities. Rooms come with an en suite and are decorated in warm tones with quality furnishings. Trooperstown Lodge has been decorated in a traditional style, and includes open fireplaces, spacious lounge areas and views onto the mountains and woodland. A morning and evening shuttle bus runs between the lodge and the Wicklow Heather Restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The intimate restaurant has an outdoor patio area and an à la carte menu featuring traditional and international cuisine. Located in the village of Laragh, Trooperstown Lodge is less than an hour’s drive from Dublin. There is accommodations available on the ground floor with easy access to the private car park.
