Since this hotel is a place where refugees stay, the workers there, their order and behavior are adjusted accordingly.
When I entered the hotel, the reception's behavior towards me was the same.
A very cold welcome, no information was given about the hotel.
The room was not bad, but there was no light in the room, there was no refrigerator, and there were no slippers provided for single use.
The heating system of the room could go up to a maximum of 22 degrees. hotel fire alarm went off for 10 minutes every day in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon and so on.
This caused us to get out of bed in panic.
Later, repair and renovation works are carried out in the building, and the sound of the drill penetrates directly into the human brain.
The breakfast was very simple.
Lunch was delicious and satisfying.
We had dinner at the restaurant, it was not high quality or fresh at all.
Cleaning and cleaning workers were good, I thank them all.

We loved this historical and comfortable guest house. Our room had a little table and two chairs, which is always nice. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast options were great. The location was perfect, an easy walk into the Market Square. We went to Dundalk for Brigid1500 Celebrations and the city was alight with events to mark this significant event.

Dundalk in County Louth, the wee county, provided an incredible outpouring of creativity to celebrate Brigid1500. The Northern Lights Light Show in Market Square, the murals and storefronts painted with signs of Spring and Brigid, the cultural production at An Tain Theatre and the County Museum.
We were there for 4 days and we made the Proper Cafe "our cafe". The staff were very welcoming and remembered us and the food was great!
We also took a bus to Carlingford and enjoyed a short hike and great views of Carlingford Lough. Also, the home of Thomas Darcy McGee, and Father of Canadian Confederation.

The Imperial Hotel is a lovely comfortable hotel with very friendly helpful staff. The location of the hotel is very central and the town centre and shopping are just a short stroll from the door. My husband enjoyed a very pleasant evening at the races in Ireland's only all weather racecourse, just a short Taxi ride away, while I browsed and shopped in the nearby Shopping Centre. We dined in the hotel, where the food was excellent. We had a lovely restful two day break, and we plan to return there in the future.

People were very friendly, a lot of greetings while out walking the street on a wet morning, likewise staff in shops all very welcoming, the town could do more to promote it's history and some beautiful surroundings within close proximity, unfortunately there are a lot of derelict or dilapidated buildings around the town. The town also could do with a better range of dining experiences The Spotted Dog was excellent but a few more restaurants at that end of the market would be very welcome.

Dundalk has lots of potential.
Dundalk has lots of potential. Nicely laid out town and looking very well Unfortunately the people of Dundalk don't know the meaning of good customer service, very cold and unwelcoming. We didn't meet a single friendly face in the bars or resteraunts, customer service was NIL!

We stayed at the Carrickdale Hotel.
We stayed at the Carrickdale Hotel. We drove to Newry and did some shopping. Then we went to stunning Carlingford for lunch and more shopping! Back to Blackrock in Dundalk for fish and chips from Roma on the promenade and ice cream at storm in a teacup. Dundalk has beautiful scenic drives and greenway walks and we loved exploring around it.
The hotel is in great location in Dundalkwith restaurants and bars nearby. 10 minute walk to The Marshes shopping centre. The rooms have been updated and beds are super comfortable, although room overlooked street it wasn’t noisy. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, great atmosphere. Great breakfast choices and not expensive if not included in room rate.
This spot provided the perfect stay for us on our first couple nights in Ireland. It was incredibly cozy, well-kept, fantastic location to venture into smaller towns during the day/evening while having a nice and quiet respite for the night. Walking up to the sunrise and sheep sounds was the perfect idyllic Irish experience.
Young receptionist was very pleasant and welcoming. Rooms were clean, comfortable and had all amenities. Breakfast was delicious and had a variety of options. Overall excellent value for money. On street parking is free after 5pm and on Sundays. Short walk to bars and restaraunts in town centre and a Tesco across the road.
Very clean, very helpful owner, breakfast was great. The large room was for 3 or 4 people so perfect for our needs, separated by a chimney so almost 2 areas, perfect for families. Ensuite. Very close to university, city centre and blackrock. Great parking, good wifi. Clear signs really helpful to know where to turn.
Friendly welcome on arrival. Super clean, spacious and comfortable room. Lovely dinner in the restaurant. Best breakfast at any of the hotels we stayed in whilst touring Ireland. Special mention to the breakfast team who worked very hard, constant attention to filling up the buffet, clearing tables etc, well done!
We were made so welcome by Brendan at reception. We had a lovely stay at Crown Plaza Hotel in Dundalk. Food was lovely service excellent and orange chocolate cheesecake was out of this world. But nothing came close to the baby hare right outside window by our dinner table! Unforgettable 😅
It was big enough to afford everyone in our group their own rooms and still be cost effective for us. The bathrooms were shared, but well-kept and stocked. It was a quiet area and we enjoyed a wonderfully restful night after a long couple of days of traveling.
Ronnie was lovely and very knowledgeable, and Irina was excellent and attentive! We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend to anyone we know passing through Dundalk. It was so clean and the house is so well kept!
Beautiful hotel with well-maintained gardens. Our room was spacious and spotless. A big thanks to one of the reception staff and Gertrude who helped us make my mother's birthday breakfast special - you made her day! ❤️
The absolutely gorgeous hidden garden across the street from the hotel- we spent over an hour there - so many pretty flowers and plants to look at! The cafe was good as well with a lovely view of the gazebo and flowers
Hotel grounds and hotel atmosphere were excellent , food was good and the majority of staff were pleasant and well trained. Nice walks within the hotel grounds especially the Dolman walk through the golf course.
Highly recommend. Great location. Very clean and comfy room. Common living room area was large and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast, cooked to order. Great wifi through out. Would stay again.
The breakfast was lovely. The room was ok, the house was lovely and full of curiosities. The owner and his daughter were pleasant and accommodating. Very close to Dundalk town centre.
Limited selection for breakfast but satisfactory for short stay. Liked the foyer area, clean relaxing and spacious.
The gardens were a bonus and a credit to the Hotel.
