The room was big enough for the 3 of us as they gave us a family room.
Neidin is the Irish word for Kenmare and translates to Little Nest. A Little Nest is exactly what was envisaged in 1790 when The Lansdowne first opened its door.

The size and atmosphere of the town suited us perfectly, as well as the location. People were friendly and helpful. It is a great place from which to explore the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara. It is very easy to park, get around and find the roads that take you around the Ring of Kerry and through some of the narrow e.g. Healy Pass (Beara, nearish to Bantry) and the Gap of Dunloe (Kerry). The Cliffs of Kerry are not too far in our view. We had great days out.
Charming architecture, quality restaurants, and accommodation options from inns to luxury hotels all make Kenmare a popular base for exploring the dramatic scenery of County Kerry. Popular things to do in Kenmare include golfing, hiking, cycling, and going for a scenic drive along the Ring of Kerry. In the evening, Kenmare comes alive with traditional Irish music.

I traveled around Ireland for two weeks and stayed in several cities. Kenmare was one of my favorites for shopping, access to music, scenery and the BEST lodging and restaurant at Brooklane. Highly recommend both!

Kenmare is a charming, small Irish town.
Kenmare is a charming, small Irish town. We loved walking through the streets with many shops, pubs and restaurants. Both Holy Cross and St. Patrick's churches are worth a visit.
Kenmare is a perfect base for driving the Ring of Kerry and visiting Killarney National Park.
We had a fabulous dinner at The Coachman's pub, sitting outside on a pleasant October evening but there are many other dining options too.

Kenmare is a must for people travelling the ring of Kerry.
Kenmare is a must for people travelling the ring of Kerry. Great shops restaurants and entertainment. The people are so friendly and helpfully, will definitely return. The White Room shop on the main street worth a visit.
It is a spacious accommodation in a quiet location a short walk from Kenmare town centre.
Nick and Dólan keep it spotless clean and care for all needs, they are very helpful and really, really nice guys with a good sense of humour. As we were on the road all day, we had too less time to chat with them unfortunately.
Nick provided us with information about what to do on Beara Peninsula etc.
The bed is super comfy and there’s a back terrace facing River Sheen. We definitely recommend the Kingfisher Riverside Retreat.
Staff were lovely, very accommodating and friendly. Food was very nice too! Our breakfast was included, nice yoghurt & fruit, cereals, croissants, scones, etc. and a good hot breakfast selection on the menu :) Nice area as it’s lovely and quiet, just over 5 mins walk into the town, but there is a Centra right across the road from the hotel anyway which was very handy! In general I thought the people of Kenmare were very nice, any shop we went into we felt very welcome so there was a very good vibe around the place.
A very warm welcome on our arrival from Lucy the owner who always had time for a chat. Situated in the town centre it is close to the shops, restaurants and bars and it is a good base for touring the local area.
Our room was spacious and warm and our bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was fabulous with the American Style Pancakes and Eggs Benedict the best we ever had.
We had a lovely time in Kenmare despite the bad weather and we look forward to returning an we will definitely stay with Lucy again.
The location could not have been better. Central to everything in the town. The accommodation looks brand new. The rooms are directly above the restaurant. The restaurant's food was on par with any fine dining establishment I've ever eaten at in Dublin. The owner / chef could not have been more helpful or nice. He referred us to another restaurant in town the night he was closed and his recommendation was top notch as well. This is the only place to stay and to eat in Kenmare.
We were in Ireland for 20 days so we wanted a variety of experiences. We chose this location because it gave us a chance to be alone for a while. No hotels, or B&Bs. It was a great place to recharge the batteries. Nearby places in Kenmare to buy food so it was easy making meals. Very quiet and peaceful location. Outstanding views. There is a golf course close by, but don't recall if it's open to non-members. Just off the Ring of Kerry with easy access to the ring.
Wonderful owner and beautiful home. We were able to walk to town and had an incredible time in the pubs/restaurant, listening to local musicians on her recommendations. Breakfast was delicious! The rooms were comfortable, and she was friendly, helpful, and an absolute delight! We would definitely stay here again. We were only there for a night, and we wish we would have stayed a 2nd! We absolutely recommend both Kenmare and this cozy friendly accommodation!
The location was superb.
Less than a five minute walk from the town centre.
The Creamy Cottage is spotlessly clean and very well equipped.
The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of clean, fresh towels.
We parked our car safely at the side of the house.
Kenmare itself is a lovely little town, consisting of two main streets with plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes
Overall, myself, my wife and our two sons had a very satisfying short break.
This was by far my favorite stay in Ireland! My husband and I regretted that we only stayed one night. The room was modern, spacious and comfortable! The shower was the best we had on our trip. It was walking distance to all the stores and restaurants. Kenmare is a lovely town and I highly recommend it on a road trip in Ireland. I accidentally left some clothes and the owner was nice to ship it to me at my next hotel!
It was a great family room for a reasonable price right in the heart of Kenmare. The owners are so nice and everything has their personal touch. We ate dinner at the pub, there was something for everyone on the menu and the food was very good. They had the best music in town on a slow Wednesday night. Breakfast was excellent also. All of the staff were very nice. We would definitely stay there again!
We were a family of five with three young children and stayed here for 3 nights. Fantastic house in kenmare town. A 2 minute walk from the town centre in a quiet location. The house was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The host was a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend this house to stay in if you’re planning a trip to kenmare.
Breakfast was hot, choices were given plus a cold buffet. Rooms very clean, good space, beds very comfy. A short walk to central Kenmare through a delightful path across the street. Restaurant, bar on premise. Staff attentive and very friendly. We came back a second time on our 3 weeks in Ireland. Would return and recommend to all.
From first entry, met with very pleasant staff, beautiful decor and ambience, perfectly situated in Kenmare's lovely town. We didnt get the opportunity to eat here as we had pre arranged to meet with friends in town, alas - but menus looked super and catered for all. I would indeed revisit during the coming summer.
Sparkling clean. Beautiful wood floors throughout. Full kitchen was nicely equipped. Access to a clean and well stocked laundry area. Location in centre of Kenmare but still quiet at night. Parking was easy and convenient.
Location is excellent. A 5 minute walk into Kenmare. Scenery stunning.
Hotel cleanliness and comfort excellent, breakfast excellent, staff were great. Two weddings on during my stay and didn’t hear any noise.
Location in the centre of town. While not really having there own car park it was easy to park close to the hotel. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Room was large and comfortable and very quiet.
Liked the location,, the pool.. breakfast wasn't great.. evening meal was OK,, steak very chewy.. staff very nice will return as kenmare is a lovely town and hotel very near it..
