The room was big enough for the 3 of us as they gave us a family room.
Neidin is the Irish word for Kenmare and translates to Little Nest. A Little Nest is exactly what was envisaged in 1790 when The Lansdowne first opened its door.

We had 2 downstairs bedrooms, appreciated not having to carry luggage upstairs. Nice to have a top sheet. Great shower pressure. A few light snacks / coffee in living room area.

The size and atmosphere of the town suited us perfectly, as well as the location. People were friendly and helpful. It is a great place from which to explore the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara. It is very easy to park, get around and find the roads that take you around the Ring of Kerry and through some of the narrow e.g. Healy Pass (Beara, nearish to Bantry) and the Gap of Dunloe (Kerry). The Cliffs of Kerry are not too far in our view. We had great days out.
Charming architecture, quality restaurants, and accommodation options from inns to luxury hotels all make Kenmare a popular base for exploring the dramatic scenery of County Kerry. Popular things to do in Kenmare include golfing, hiking, cycling, and going for a scenic drive along the Ring of Kerry. In the evening, Kenmare comes alive with traditional Irish music.

I traveled around Ireland for two weeks and stayed in several cities. Kenmare was one of my favorites for shopping, access to music, scenery and the BEST lodging and restaurant at Brooklane. Highly recommend both!

Kenmare is a charming, small Irish town. We loved walking through the streets with many shops, pubs and restaurants. Both Holy Cross and St. Patrick's churches are worth a visit.
Kenmare is a perfect base for driving the Ring of Kerry and visiting Killarney National Park.
We had a fabulous dinner at The Coachman's pub, sitting outside on a pleasant October evening but there are many other dining options too.

Kenmare is a must for people travelling the ring of Kerry.
Kenmare is a must for people travelling the ring of Kerry. Great shops restaurants and entertainment. The people are so friendly and helpfully, will definitely return. The White Room shop on the main street worth a visit.
We were in Ireland for 20 days so we wanted a variety of experiences. We chose this location because it gave us a chance to be alone for a while. No hotels, or B&Bs. It was a great place to recharge the batteries. Nearby places in Kenmare to buy food so it was easy making meals. Very quiet and peaceful location. Outstanding views. There is a golf course close by, but don't recall if it's open to non-members. Just off the Ring of Kerry with easy access to the ring.
We stayed at 5 hotels during a 2 week trip to Ireland, at least 2 of them were 5 stars and Brook Lane was our favorite. It felt personal, warm and comfortable. And it was SPOTLESS, with good sized rooms. The staff was friendly, the food and service at Casey's was exceptional particularly considering the price x value. The location is perfect for walking access to Kenmare and for driving access the Ring of Kerry. I will be back!
This was by far my favorite stay in Ireland! My husband and I regretted that we only stayed one night. The room was modern, spacious and comfortable! The shower was the best we had on our trip. It was walking distance to all the stores and restaurants. Kenmare is a lovely town and I highly recommend it on a road trip in Ireland. I accidentally left some clothes and the owner was nice to ship it to me at my next hotel!
Rockcrest House offers a 5 star stay in Kenmare . David & Marian are perfect hosts, the rooms surpass many 5 star hotels & the breakfast is the best we’ve experienced in our travels for some time …. we slept like babies.. It’s set in an ideal location less than 5mins from the town centre & we are looking forward to our next trip already. Great to be able to experience a great stay post Covid. Well done David & Marian.
It was a great family room for a reasonable price right in the heart of Kenmare. The owners are so nice and everything has their personal touch. We ate dinner at the pub, there was something for everyone on the menu and the food was very good. They had the best music in town on a slow Wednesday night. Breakfast was excellent also. All of the staff were very nice. We would definitely stay there again!
Bridge Street Townhouse is in the perfect location for the shops, restaurants and pubs, right in the heart of the town. The bedroom was huge with everything you wanted. I have to say the breakfast choice and the breakfast itself was fabulous; best I’ve ever come across even in 5 star hotels. The host was lovely and even gave us some free goodies to take home. Will definitely 💯 stay again.
It’s a small boutique hotel with modern rooms, nicely appointed and quiet, in a hip corner of Kenmare. There’s a tiny, but very modern restaurant, on the ground floor with exceptional food and wonderful service and a couple of tables on the sidewalk out front. It’s not a thru street, so it’s a lovely spot for tea. Just a minute from shopping, a park, historic sites, etc.
Reg and Gary are the ultimate hosts. They did everything possible to make our stay in Kenmare the best it could be. They provided excellent tips on places to see and eat in the Killarney area. The breakfasts were of the highest quality and professionally presented. The room was spacious and comfortable with an eye to detail. We highly recommend a stay at Two Eggs.
Nice location 7 minute walk from Kenmare downtown and right on the Ring of Kerry. Cute little B&B with cozy room, comfortable beds and a nice sitting room. Great wifi and and excellent breakfast. The staff gave us great travel tips, restaurant tips and were super accommodating. Well done Happy Pig!
Exceptional stay. Irma is a friendly & very accommodating host.
Comfortable, well appointed rooms. Breakfast was A1: nice choose, great quality with fresh & home made produce.
7 min walk to Kenmare town centre. A real gem, will stay again!!
Well located a short walk from the town centre. Friendly helpful staff throughout. Bathroom was recently renovated. Hotel was spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was good - nice selection and while it was busy it didn’t feel rushed.
The hotel is right in the middle of the town centre with a great street vibe, the staff were great, the evening entertainment was fantastic and the breakfast was very good, we would highly recommend a visit.
Great location, just outside of Kenmare. The room was spacious and flooded with light. Breakfast was very good. There is also a cosy living area that guests can use. Lovely landlady.
Jane is a great host. The house is well equipped, comfortable and in a very quiet environment.
Kenmare is a beautiful and nice town.
We definitely recommend Poppyfield House.
The owner is wonderful. She runs an exceptional B&B. Clean, we'll decorated, comfortable beds. She makes a mean Egg's Benedict! Kenmare is a beautiful town!
