Monaghan is a very busy town with some lovely dress shops...
Monaghan is a very busy town with some lovely dress shops and men shops. Nice coffee bars and place to eat - food is lovely and plentiful!. We noticed there was no litter anywhere. A very enjoyable visit and would recommend The Meadows - very clean, nice towels every day, etc. We ate in the Westenra Hotel. Very easy to get around Monaghan.AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

Guesthouse was fantastic. The lady was extremely pleasant and helpful. We were given a room upgrade and a delicious breakfast. We were meeting up with friends for dinner in Monaghan. I am perhaps a bit bias as it is my home town but I love going back as Monaghan has a lot to offer..The Westenra is located right in the centre of a lovely friendly buzzing wee town..full of great shopping restaurants and places to explore..You'll def want to stay in the Westenra for more than one night...oh and hotel parking couldn't be closer ...perfect

At the suggestion of the hosts, we visited Castle Leslie one afternoon. We enjoyed it immensely. It’s a “must see” place to visit! (Paul McCartney and Heather Mills we’re married there a few years ago.) Monaghan is a beautiful county. We’d like to explore more of it another time! We‘ll be back again! 🇮🇪🍀😊

We were greeted by the owner "Trudy" and then shown to our room. Our room like the rest of the accommodations; it was PERFECT!! Very clean, comfortable beds, and even the shower was great. The location was perfect, we were within walking distance to many shops, bars, restaurants and a movie theater was also less than 2 miles away.
