The room and the service. In particular, the lavish breakfast and the courteous staff. The location is great.
The elevator doesn't go down to the mall area and the parking.
Evrythig outside the rooms
Very friendly and helpful staff
Dan was very helpful.
Small rooms; uncomfortable single beds; noisy location. No minibar.
Very convenient, quiet and tidy rooms, great location (close to central bus station), nice breakfast.
We were told at check-in that they were giving us an up-grade. The regular must have been a broom closet!
The people by the desk
The food and the bad
on Pesach there was an excellent service ,good kavanah all over the synagogue
rooms were old fashioned ,not up to date ,bad price quality relation pay full price for outdated equipment
We've been to Israel many times and have stayed many places, but our stay at Jerusalem Gate topped them all! We've stayed there once before & this time was even better. The staff, food & general ambience is excellent. I doubt we'll ever book anywhere else! Well done! A special word of thanks to Dan, Rena & Abbas, staff members that make this Hotel shine.
Clean, comfortable. Great location to get in and out of the city - next to central bus station and shopping mall with restaurants. free parking. Not near tourists cites but taxis readily available and public transport is right there. Great breakfast
We have nothing to complain about
Location excellent. Breakfast superb. Being allowed into our room earlier than the stipulated 3pm.
kettle with tea and coffee sachets
comfortable, clean, pretty room. Nice TV and nice bathroom.
Wifi should be standard. Even a hostel has free wifi throughout. The presentation of breakfast was nice, but the eggs were not very good.
Nice balcony off the dining room overlooking the city
The outside noise
The staff were very attentive, giving an excellent service.
Too much noise in the corridors, rooms not cleaned properly every day.
The location was great! easy to get to the busses and trolleys.
The carpet was really dirty. On Friday afternoon I asked if restaurants nearby would be open Friday evening (shabat) I was concerned they would close and if so I would get sandwich and other snacks to have on hand. They assured me places would be open. I went out about 7 and it was DEAD. There were no busses or trolleys working and no restaurants open. The hotel dinner was like $60 so we didn't want to eat there. I was really frustrated with the staff because I was aware of Shabat and ASKED and was not told the truth.
Very friendly staff .
The staff in reception, in the restaurant, and in the bar, were polite and helpful.
Cleaning staff were very noisy in the mornings, in spite of putting a sign on the door saying "do not disturb", they were calling to each other whilst cleaning adjacent rooms. The rooms had very poor sound insulation, both from noise inside the hotel corridors, and also from the traffic outside which was frequently sounding their horns, and using sirens. Dirty towels and coffee cups were not changed on two of my five nights stay. Used coffee supplies were not replenished on three mornings, until I asked for some more. Cups in the room were chipped and grimy. Bath water came up through the drain in the bathroom floor as the bath was emptying. Fittings in the bathroom were rusty. The bin in the bathroom was not clean when I arrived, although a liner bag had beem put in on top of the soiled bin. The carpet had soiling marks on it. The bed linen had some black marks on it, and the pillows were hard.
good location helpful staff beds ok
too much noise in corridors - guests much be warned to come and go quietly even when sign on door - cleaners kept knocking -VERY disturbing no decaff coffee or tea varieties!
The centre below shops and easy access to the trams and buses
The old rooms dull paint and furnishings poor bathrooms and rooms
The rooms were shabby the bathrooms old the shower did not work properly the carpets worn out the furniture needy of replacement the rooms were dark and miserable
next to main bus station - easy logistics if travel across the country, the tram stop makes centre easily accessible
very noisy, seriously run-down, not clean/comfortable
Snow and no transport
