Food was amazing and you didn't know what to on your plate. Terrific helpul staff. Location is amazing.
Rooms and beds are small and need an upgrade.
Friendly staff, clean accomodations
Food was always re-heated and leftovers served. Beds were not that comfortable.
Everything. The Staff, food, rooms, location, the lower shopping area. Thank you and G-d bless you all.
Wonderful location directly beside the Central Bus Station and a short walk from the light rail which can bring you all over the city. The hotel exceeded my expectations, the staff were wonderful and the rooms were spotless and well equipped. Also great value for money.
No free wifi, troubles with towels.
Great economical way to have a short romantic vacation away from the kids. Everything was good enough. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. When the first room we went to stunk of cigarette smoke, because it was off-season and rooms were available they switched it within seconds. Breakfast was fresh, tasty. healthy and nice with a decent amount of variety - something for everyone.
The place is a bit run-down so if there aren't too many guests you can switch your room like we did and get good service from the desk. Very poor sound insulation and near ambulance hub. Noisy even with windows and doors closed. No bars on windows so rooms not suitable for kids who may jump. Not enough closet space/soaps/towels for an extended stay. Shower cord was ripped and splashed water all over the place.
bit dated rooms
Rooms are very small, got locked in bathroom couldn't open door. When u ask for double bed u get two teens connected.
Position of hotel fantastic bed comfortable
Plug not working in bathroom this was not checked beforehand Had to bang door to close Not enough plugs in bedroom
The room and the service. In particular, the lavish breakfast and the courteous staff. The location is great.
The elevator doesn't go down to the mall area and the parking.
Evrythig outside the rooms
Very friendly and helpful staff
Dan was very helpful.
Small rooms; uncomfortable single beds; noisy location. No minibar.
Very convenient, quiet and tidy rooms, great location (close to central bus station), nice breakfast.
We were told at check-in that they were giving us an up-grade. The regular must have been a broom closet!
The people by the desk
The food and the bad
on Pesach there was an excellent service ,good kavanah all over the synagogue
rooms were old fashioned ,not up to date ,bad price quality relation pay full price for outdated equipment
We've been to Israel many times and have stayed many places, but our stay at Jerusalem Gate topped them all! We've stayed there once before & this time was even better. The staff, food & general ambience is excellent. I doubt we'll ever book anywhere else! Well done! A special word of thanks to Dan, Rena & Abbas, staff members that make this Hotel shine.
Clean, comfortable. Great location to get in and out of the city - next to central bus station and shopping mall with restaurants. free parking. Not near tourists cites but taxis readily available and public transport is right there. Great breakfast
We have nothing to complain about
Location excellent. Breakfast superb. Being allowed into our room earlier than the stipulated 3pm.
kettle with tea and coffee sachets
comfortable, clean, pretty room. Nice TV and nice bathroom.
Wifi should be standard. Even a hostel has free wifi throughout. The presentation of breakfast was nice, but the eggs were not very good.
Nice balcony off the dining room overlooking the city
The outside noise
The staff were very attentive, giving an excellent service.
Too much noise in the corridors, rooms not cleaned properly every day.
The location was great! easy to get to the busses and trolleys.
The carpet was really dirty. On Friday afternoon I asked if restaurants nearby would be open Friday evening (shabat) I was concerned they would close and if so I would get sandwich and other snacks to have on hand. They assured me places would be open. I went out about 7 and it was DEAD. There were no busses or trolleys working and no restaurants open. The hotel dinner was like $60 so we didn't want to eat there. I was really frustrated with the staff because I was aware of Shabat and ASKED and was not told the truth.
