Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks...
Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks were a bit disappointing as there was a fair bit of pollution and cloud, so not clear to see. Very cold as well, waiting for sunrise, but plenty of vendors selling hot drinks.
Sherpa Tensing Norgay’s house is a must see( although I didn’t as I became ill), as is ‘toy’ train, which is a narrow train that chugs up and down through nearby towns.
There is a huge Body Shop as well.
Tea plantations are interesting but not open all the time.
Clothing is fairly cheap, especially puffer jackets.

City of Darjeeling has as such nothing to visit..
City of Darjeeling has as such nothing to visit.. Entire town streets full of warm clothe shops and nothing else.. however, nearby places are good as usual.. this is my 5th time to the place and not new.. people with 3-4 days time can explore various places, talk to nature, enjoy the cool bridge..
Darjelling view homestay is far away from Darjeeling and the roads are extremely in a very poor condition. The above sentence shouldn't deter you from booking this place as it would give you the perfect view of kanchenjenga and the location is beautiful surrounded by a monastery, beautiful village, pets, flowers and it's just like a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Darjelling.
Lata didi and her husband were very warm and took care of all our needs. The food was delicious and our Christmas was indeed in a winter wonderland.
Everything was Superb Right from Entering the Premises we were greeted with Welcome Darjeeling Tea The Checkin Process was Smooth and Rooms weer excellent The breakfast was superb Only one problem we need to get up a steep rise to get into the Hotel which may be inconvenient for the Elderly people The food was excellent and rightly charged Value for Money was there for everything
it was a bit hard to find especially after a flight from Delhi to Bagdogra and a 4h drive to Darjeeling... but we made it ok and the owner was a very nice guy, very cheerful and very fluent in English. our room had a beautiful view of Darjeeling and we made the most it... the market was down the road with lots of restaurants and the departure point to get a shared taxi to go to Sikkim.... we really enjoyed the hotel.
Excellent location at the hill top of Darjeeling. The rooms are extremely comfortable with wooden floors and roofs. You can view both valley and mountain range from room itself.
The hotel being located at hilltop, you may not get anything to purchase so easily, though the hotel gives complimentary drop at downhill Bazar. I would advise you to carry with you the essential things that you may need during your stay.
Great location near the central market, lovely host and hotel manager SP that helped us so much with our trip before and during our time in Darjeeling. The bar in the property is amazing! We went to a few other places in Darjeeling but ended up always coming back to the hotel as nothing had such good vibes like the bar/restaurant in Golden Orchid. Food and cocktails were amazing and so were the staff there.
We had a wonderful stay in Darjeeling at Magnolia Residency.
Every morning, we had a delicious warm breakfast. We could discover local specialties such as Momos and Bhaley bread.
The lovely family running the hotel was incredibly nice, as well as their staff.
We also enjoyed the lovely rooftop terrace where we could drink Darjeeling tea in front of the hills.
We love our stay at muscatel bhumsang. The location is perfect, the staff and the room, were fabulous! There was not one thing that we didn't like there. We had a wonderful time. I will repeat my stay in this hotel every time I visit Darjeeling . Also I will recommend everyone to book this hotel without any hesitation.
Tasteful building and rooms. It was used to be a colonial house back to the 19th century, full of historical episodes and background.
Small, family like atmosphere and hospitality by the hotel staff.
Convenient location, near from the famouse darjeeling Mall but quiet in the hotel building.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable and the staffs were amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Darjeeling
Will surely stay here again on my next visit.
Cheers to the staff and the owner
Hospitality is superb. Very warm behaviour of all staff of this hotel. room is clean. Wifi is available on every floor. location is very good. A few minutes walking distance from mall road and Darjeeling station. Overall very good hotel.
The view from this property is awesome, almost the whole Darjeeling view can be visible from the room and balcony. Compared to outside shop the breakfast was expensive but taste & quality was very good. View from hotel room attached.
The location of the hotel is no doubt a plus point. It is located at the central Darjeeling very close to Mall Road which takes 3 miutes. Secondly, the view is something that you will absolutely love and cleanliness mantained.
The property is at stone throwing distance from main road to Darjeeling and nearby to the market. The rooms were very cozy, spacious and clean. The view of Kanchenjunga from the balcony is mesmerizing.
Very bad hotel, unhygienic bad foul smell.
Staff behavior very bad. Parking issue, even dropping taxi issue. Very conjusted location.
Never recommend for stay.
Wrost hotel in Darjeeling.
The hotel service was fast and excellent. Everyone was very professional. Toiletries could have been better but overall recommended. Restaurant food was also mostly good.
The behaviour of the manager and staff are very nice. The service of the hotel is also good. The hotel has a carpeted floor which is very good in the cold.
