Nice place to spend 2-3 days. you can cover the city in one day. Start your day early by visiting Ross island and doing water sports activities. You can be back by lunch time if not going to Northern bay. After lunch, you can go to museum and then in the evening go to cellular jail at around 4 PM. You can visit the jail in 1 hr and end your day by watching the light and sound show which starts at 5:30 PM. Don't forget to book you show ticket online in advance. It is not available offline.
Next day, you can move away from city towards chidiyatapu beach and take a resort nearby to relax. You can watch sunset at chidiyatapu beach. Plese reach there timely as the beach closes at 5 PM.

Port Blair isn't in itself that interesting.
Port Blair isn't in itself that interesting. But it is where the int. airport is. And it is the stepping stone to outer islands. What I like is there are so few foreign tourists in Port Blair - but then this actually applies for all of the Andamans. The tourists a mainly mainland Indians. I also liked that Port Blair wasn't bigger - but that off course is a matter of taste. It is fairly pleasant town. Fairly clean and safe. The people of Port Blair are polite and helpfull.

Great place for sightseeing, nice vibe, friendly locals and good food.
Tuk Tuks are a cost effective way of getting around.
The best food and service we had was in the Lalaji Restaurant, the breakfast was particularly good.
We didn’t like Corbin Cove which was litter strewn so would definitely avoid going there again.

Port Blair is fantastic place. we visited the cellular Jail that was heart touching after watching the laser show which said the story of freedom fighters. the beaches nearby were good. islands from Port Blair viz. Havelock (Radha Nagar beach ) Neil (elephant beach and Kala Pathar ) and Bhartang were superb. we can witness some tribes while travelling to Bhartang via forest area. photography and stopping at any place in the forest area is prohibited. Lime stone cave was excellent though the length was just 100 metes long. the dense mangrove trees were awesome to see. Natural bridge is one of the attractions in Neil Island. we could witness sunset at Radha Nagar beach

We liked the visit of Ross Island (a short boat trip and an e-buggy ride from the port to the lighthouse side of the island) and the Cellular jail. The city itself is pretty much the typical picture of Indian cities. A lot of (for us pretty chaotic) traffic, small shops along the streets with pretty unattractive facades during the day, but all neon-lighted during the evening. The first thing we noticed was that there are proper pedestrian corridors along the main roads (not blocked with all kind of stuff and not decorated with litter like we've seen in most of the other cities). The museums that were on our list as possible points of interest were unfortunately closed on Monday, the last day of our stay.
There are also several attractive beaches in less than an hour car drive from the city centre, but only one was open for swimming during our stay. The beaches are worth of admiration but of course you cannot expect to enjoy the natural beauty of these beaches alone, expect to be accompanied by numerous tourists coming to Andaman with 22 daily domestic flights (according to our taxi driver).
Apart from the rooms being comfortable and quite luxurious (for the price we paid, the rooms even had disposable house-slippers, dental kits and shaving kit), the hospitality of the staff, manager and receptionist instantly made us feel welcome and taken care of. Their restaurant on the rooftop, The Buzzing Bee, is also really good, you can have dinner right here and feel totally satisfied with having stayed in! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Port Blair with a mid-range budget.
Prime location. Airport, ferry point are a few mins away. Can get autos, cabs easily. Seems to be a new building with all fire safety measures. The hotel doesn’t have lifts but the steps are low in height. So its easy to climb up. We took 2 rooms (3bedded). Both were air conditioned. Mineral water is available free of cost. Host is fine with check in timings. They even provided us with local contacts for cabs. They were all fine and budget friendly. Rooms are clean and maintained well.
The manager was exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to assist with questions, arranging transportation, and even allowed me to leave some luggage behind when I was off to another location for a few days. The balcony view was excellent, and the breakfast was good. The proximity to the Haddo jetty was perfect. It was very easy to get cheap transportation to the markets in central Port Blair. I would absolutely recommend the Seaview Residency.
Fantastic location away from the hustle bustle of the city. Amazing authentic Indian food great for a foreigner. Amazing staff all around with a big shout out to Viki the owner of the hotel, he helped us with everything we needed. We also went to Barefoot at havelock and were disappointed with the service and the food sucked there. Adhvasaha was a great experience and I place I will take my traveling clients in the future! Highly recommend!
Our favorite guest house in Port Blair, located on a quiet street away from the main road. The hosts are always friendly and ready to help with any questions. Clean and spacious rooms with all necessary amenities. If you have the opportunity to order food, there is also a good restaurant nearby, several shops, a fruit and vegetable market. Highly recommend this mini hotel.
Hi, myself Varun Rath, from Kolkata. We are searching for good property and found The Harbour View in list. The stay was so comfortable and value for money. The best is the behavior and hospitality of staffs and Owner, Mr. Ravindra Reddy. He is so helpful and well manner. Location is great, 5 min. from the Jetty pick and drop point. I Love to stay again and again.
Nice spacious room and very courteous staff. They took care very much of our needs about roaming in the city. The resort is run by a well educated family and they ensure they take make comfortable as they can. Dine in the hotel restaurant and you will feel like home cooked food. Location is very good as it lies within the radius of airport and main cities.
I had a wonderful experience with ocean view. From the owner and staff were so helpful. It helps a lot for our happy vexatious. Room, bathroom were clean and well maintained.... I would highly recommend this property someone who is visiting Andaman Port Blair.!
It was a very nice hotel. The location was good. Hotel owner is very kind hearted and cooperative. He personally drove a car and dropped us at the airport as the cab driver was busy. The restaurant is also nice. They cook for us at very short notice.
We stayed here for a night after a holiday in Havelock Island and wanted to spend some time at Port Blair too. Superb location in Port Blair facing the sea, great view from the room. We had dinner in the restaurant, enjoyed the semi outdoor ambience.
Except for location, didn't like the hotel at all!!! Since we were supposed to stay for only one night before our travel back to Delhi we didn't care much. But in spite of that we were MIGHTY DISAAPPOINTED!!!
The hotel was conveniently located in quieter part of Port Blair. And close to the airport or bus stand.
We loved the hostess - Mrs. Nanda and her staff. They are professional, friendly and super helpful.
New appliances in each room, andvery clean. Friendly owners who welcomed us with juice and Oreo cookies upon check in and packed a nice breakfast for us before our early morning flight out of Port Blair.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting port blair...
Very nice hotel. Very good food especially the rooftop restaurant. It is a nice place to stay in Port Blair. Hospitality is good. Very helpful staff members.
