Brilliant temple town where you feel transposed to a different world. Ancient and powerful temples - Kamakshi amman temple, Ekambareswarar temple to name a few. Shopping for silk sarees is another added attraction (and supporting local weavers).

Kanchipuram visits are planned as it's the center of Learning and Temples. It's all temples are easily accessible by share auto/maxi cab. Food is best and available near all hotels. Bus and Trains are easily accessible from our Hotel. Chinna Kanchipuram, Orikkai all are locations to be seen

This is a temple town with over a 100 odd temples, some of which were built during the Pallava, Chola, and Vijayanagara periiod. So many temples are under ASI care. The Kailasanatha temple deserves special mention. Kanchipuram is also famous for its sarees and threads. So during wedding season and festivals, will be crowded. Fresh and well priced vegetarian food can be enjoyed at Nithya Amrutham. Enjoy Kanchipuram idlis, but they are no longer served in their unique tall shape since they break during travel. They are served like idlis, but with the Kanchipuram idli recipe.

Kanchipuram is a Temple Town, Most of the temples open until 12 noon or 1 PM. Need not be all Temples, Please check their timings before you go Some of the Temples are crowded and at times big queue for Darshan, you need to plan ahead for such Temples. Few of them are like Kanchi Kamakshiyamman Temple, Kanchi Gold Temple etc. Most of the places Darshan Free or very small charge. Again, The Temples are construction marvels. Get astonished with every nuke and corner where you will find sculpturing in Stone. Its good to be a lover of Architecture and be a Wanderer as well. There are not much for shopping inside Temples. Kanchipuram is famous for Silks, So you can find many silk shops, small and large. Recently there are other National/International brands also setup shops here.
