I had a very comfortable stay at Sandpoint Hotel. The room service was good, and the room was super clean, hygienic, and well maintained. I was travelling with my baby, and the hospitality was really great. It’s a brand-new property, around six months old, but it has all the required facilities, including excellent Wi-Fi and parking. The location is convenient, right on the main road, with nearby places and the beach easily accessible, especially if you have a car. The breakfast was also worth mentioning — delicious, fresh, and with a good variety. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and value-for-money stay.

It is a nice place to visit.

It is a nice place to visit. Make sure to visit the following 1) Promenade beach, at least in the evening 2) If interested in good photos, visit French colony during day time 3) At least visit the paradise beach once 4) Serenity beach (if you want to see fisherman boats and beach) 5) Churches near promenade beach 6) Visit promenade beach during day to climb the light house to get a beautiful view of the beach (you can club this with No.2 above) 7) Anyways you have travelled this far, try to visit and take the boat ride in the Asia's second largest mangrove tree forest. This will make your travel worth the time. Avoid travel to Auroville (unless you have booked your time for meditation inside)

Just a Hyped place- Pondicherry.

Just a Hyped place- Pondicherry. Narrow roads, excessive traffic, too much of noise and crowd everywhere. Beach is fine, but rest all like White Town, Museum, Auroville Matri Mandir, Old Lighthouse are all Hyped.

I have visited following places with family and felt very good and lot of memories with me - Auravile, French Colony, White Town, Rock Beach, Serenity Beach, Paradise Beach, Light House, Mahatma Gandhiji Statue. I would recommended to anyone to visit this place, and worth visiting and enjoy the nature.

I've always loved the peaceful charm of Puducherry. The French-colonial streets, incredible food, warm locals, and relaxed pace make it a place I keep coming back to. Every visit leaves me with wonderful memories and another reason to return. Some of my personal favorites are Le Petit Four, Bread & Chocolate, and Villa Shanti. If I had to recommend just two, it would be Le Petit Four and Villa Shanti for their consistently great food, ambience, and overall experience. And while you're there, don't miss the delicious gelato in Auroville. It's the perfect treat after a day of exploring. Before heading home, make sure to pick up some fresh baked goodies from one of the local bakeries. They make wonderful gifts for loved ones (or yourself!). One of the best things about Puducherry is how easy it is to explore, especially White Town, where you can simply wander and soak in the atmosphere. My favorite way to spend a day is watching the sunrise by the beach, taking a leisurely stroll along the promenade, discovering hidden food gems, and spending the evenings walking through the charming streets with the sea breeze all around. It's the perfect place to slow down, unwind, and enjoy life's simple pleasures. ❤️

Puducherry is too hot and humid i felt and as I was told by the people staying in this place 10month around the year its hot and humid, Nov, Dec rains here , mornings are good at rock beach 5.30 am to 8 am , evenings are good after 5pm till. Nights are busy with cafes and restaurants open . Suggest 4 days is goodenough this place once in your lifetime.to see whole of Puducherry. Paradise beach is good. With the boat ride but was put off as you can't go to sanddune beach next door without paying some money again to concerned watchmen there sitting , if you land on paradise beach dont have food or drinks at the seagull restaurant as its horrible. Coming back beach access length in paradise you get to about 150 mtrs left or right to walk . Further pay and pass . Boat ride to this place 350 per person back and forth 2 hrs you can stay on this beach. Not like goa you can walk along the stretch of beaches. So if your going do to sand dunes beach.eden beach only.bypass paradise beach its all the same view and sand . Overall Puducherry MG Raod , Nehru Road shopping is good. Food depends on your choice and pocket restaurant and cafes are plenty in white town.

Puducherry rewards anyone who likes to walk and look.

Puducherry rewards anyone who likes to walk and look. There are plenty of historical sites, the old churches in particular, and the beach promenade in White Town is a lovely place for a stroll. A Puducherry Tourism run eatery there serves delicious fare. Nehru Street is a bustling market with rows of shops, and I especially liked Cooptex for silk saris and handlooms. The malls have the usual eateries as well, so you will not go hungry. Right in the heart of town, the Botanical Garden offers a welcome patch of green. Walking, however, is often difficult, as pedestrian paths are either missing or encroached upon. The bigger drawback is that Uber is largely dysfunctional here. Drivers work to fixed rates for certain distances and frequently cancel if you do not agree to the amount they quote, which can be steep. You do get a good one once in a while, but rarely, so hiring a taxi for the day is a sensible way to move around. If you enjoy history, Thanjavur is about three hours away and makes a very good day trip, with the great Chola temple well worth the journey. State run buses and private taxis both serve the route. A word on timing. If you are visiting in summer or during the rains, carry plenty of sun lotion and be prepared for the humidity. November to February would, I imagine, be the most comfortable months. Overall, a good destination for the inveterate traveller. I was there for work at Pondicherry University, which enjoys a high reputation, and I was grateful to meet some wonderful and accomplished colleagues.

The location and hotel staff were exceptional.Thillaga and Udhaya were courteous and helpful till my departure from Pondicherry. The hotel is centrally located and is close to beach .You have nearby good restaurants and cafes ,also to add a beautiful Ganesh temple including the Ashram all nearby within walkable distance.

Small and extremely friendly hôtel. Front desk made us very welcome. Hôtel was just a short walk to the beach as well as a multitude of Cafés and restaurants. Strongly recommended to those visiting Pondicherry. Breakfast was served in the roof top restaurant each morning and was fine.
