I had a very comfortable stay at Sandpoint Hotel. The room service was good, and the room was super clean, hygienic, and well maintained. I was travelling with my baby, and the hospitality was really great. It’s a brand-new property, around six months old, but it has all the required facilities, including excellent Wi-Fi and parking. The location is convenient, right on the main road, with nearby places and the beach easily accessible, especially if you have a car. The breakfast was also worth mentioning — delicious, fresh, and with a good variety. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and value-for-money stay.

Love the room with the balcony I think it’s the largest one, and it’s my 3rd time here. Very very good staff and hospitality and the food is superb. Good location too. My go to place in pondi, would not pick any other space in the city but this.

This was, without a doubt, one of the best hospitality experiences we’ve ever had. We happened to be the very first guests to book this property online, and if this is the standard they’re starting with, they’re setting the bar incredibly high. From the moment we arrived, every little detail had been thoughtfully taken care of. The property truly lives up to its name—Palais de Versailles. The architecture, interiors, and décor are elegant, tastefully curated, and create a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. What made our stay truly exceptional, however, was the host. He went far beyond what we expected from any accommodation. He personally helped us plan our local sightseeing, recommended fantastic restaurants based on our preferences, and even arranged reservations for us. His suggestions genuinely enhanced our Pondicherry experience. The rooms were spotless, beautifully maintained, and extremely comfortable. Every member of the team was warm, courteous, and always willing to help with a smile. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay. If you’re visiting Pondicherry, I cannot recommend Palais de Versailles highly enough. It’s rare to come across a place where the property itself is outstanding, but the people make it even more memorable. We left with wonderful memories and would return without a second thought.

Very good experience overall. The room was clean, air conditioning worked perfectly, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Staff members were friendly and cooperative. The hotel maintained good hygiene standards in all areas including lobby and dining space.

Excellent promenade, white town, and beaches. However, can be very humid and hot unless you go in winter. Eden beach is very clean, but charges 500 for a camera! Serenity beach is filthy and littered with plastic trash.

Though we understand its a tourist city, the crowd during the weekend was too heavy. Having said that the city police had good control over the situation. The city cleanliness was also maintained, but for the traffic in the lanes as they are narrow and still you can move as the police was guiding people to park vehicles in the old port parking lot

Excellent beaches in Puducherry, especially Paradise Beach, which I liked the most. The boat ride to reach the exact spot was a very nice experience. The Auroville area was also great to explore. Temples, museums, and churches are some of the main places to visit. The Old Lighthouse and Rock Beach are among the highlights of Puducherry. Overall, it was a nice trip and a good place to explore with family. Food restaurants are usually crowded during weekends, so it is better to plan accordingly, especially if you are travelling with children. City traffic can be heavy, and travelling by self-driving car is quite challenging. I noticed many tourists using two-wheelers to move around the city. However, travelling with family on two-wheelers may not always be convenient.

Pondicherry central is beautiful with the French architecture, delicious food , veg & nonveg, reasonably priced, multiple eateries all around, mostly one way traffic which was most amusing coming from Mumbai, layout too excellent of the entire town. Eateries like The Artisan, De Bussy, road corners tea stalls with variety of tea snacks and other tandoori stalls. Except for Auroville, did the walk all around central town visiting the beautiful Churches, museum, Aurobindo ashram, french quarters, rock and promenade beach and monuments along the way .

Punucherry was a vibrant and busy Indian city.

Punucherry was a vibrant and busy Indian city. It feels very safe and has unlimited places to eat or drink. The White Town was very calm and relaxed close to the sea while also close to the vibrant shopping area and restaurants. We ate mostly in local Veg Shops with local people. The food was amazing and so cheap. People were friendly and welcoming. We walked around the city and used tuc tucs which were easy to get. Worth haggling the price or checking journey cost on Uber app first.

The worst stay ever I have experience in my life I book for four nights but sad to say though Pondicherry is a beautiful place I left the place just 2 days The room The location The surrounding Are so dirty and was not able to stay inside the room as the AC is always off from their control box The surrounding is full of muddy water couldn’t go out of the hotel walking The bed is so dirty And when we check out they told us to rate the hotel 10 star So pathetic

The staff were all very friendly and helpful we arrived at 4:45am and they tried really hard to accommodate us and help us get comfortable even though the hotel was full and check in is at 2pm. The hotel location is perfect. And our room was huge and comfortable. The small coffee shop attached was the best latte I found in Pondicherry and the hotel restaurant was one of our top evening meals. The Indian breakfast set some also yummy.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Pondicherry. The location is excellent — almost in the heart of the town, with easy access to all major places and attractions. It is very close to the ECR road, making travel convenient. All basic amenities are available, and the property offers a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. Perfect for a relaxing family stay.
