Mysore is a gem of a city in India. The weather is usually much less extreme than other places in India. The people are friendly and there's lots to do. The palace is beautiful (especially on Sunday night when they light 10K lights for an hour), the catholic cathedral is very nice. The sacred Chamundi Hill is a must! Nandi Bull is on the other side of the hill and carved from a huge boulder. There is also lots of walking places and the Deveraja Market must not be missed for spices, flowers and lots of inexpensive interesting items including incense and jaggery. There is also lots of tailors, jewelry shopping and Mysore silk shops. The Southern Star is a great hotel there.

This listing is obviously in India.
This listing is obviously in India.
I can't understand why it's listed with Booking, com as Jugglers Rest in Picton.
It's most confusing!
When you ring the contact number it's in India and the person that answers is very hard to understand and barely speaks English.
Personally I don't think Booking.com should have the property listed at all

I arrived at mysore by train from Bangalore and didn’t get to my hotel til around 13:30. Hotellier kindly provided a map and marked on it local places of interest, thinking this would be too late to visit the palace I went to the aquarium. The best thing about it was the entrance - makes for great photos.
Walking (with the aid of good old google) I came across the palace and couldn’t resist going in. Just 100inr - same price for everyone. I didn’t have to queue for more than a few minutes for a ticket at that time of day but there were still orderly queues getting around inside. I had plenty of time before closing at 17:30 so I achieved my purpose for visiting mysore earlier than expected.
Shoes are not allowed inside the palace so I’d recommend socks as 10s of thousands of people visit every week. The sheer opulence of the palace is something I’ve not seen anywhere else. I didn’t stay for the daily palace light show as I was tired out but I understand it’s quite something.
It’s not somewhere you’d find fine dining but the hotel I stayed at had a restaurant very nearby.

GOOD PLACE TO VISIT.
GOOD PLACE TO VISIT. WE LIKED THESE PLACES SUCH AS CHAMUNDI TEMPLE, MYSORE PALACE, ZOO, VRUNDAVAN GARDEN, MIRROR MAZE AND DEVARAJA MARKET. THE WORST PLACE IS WE HAVE VISITED DOMAINE SULA WHICH WAS ON THE WAY FROM BANGALORE TO MYSORE.

One of my favourite places we’ve stay in India so far. Our room was very clean and so were communal areas. Bedding felt really fresh and clean. I was able to get all my washing done here too. Staff are friendly.
The building is beautiful and set back from a quiet road, so the whole place feels very peaceful. Just a short walk from good places to eat and a quick tuktuk ride to Mysore palace and other places worth visiting. Highly recommend this place!
The location is very good (15 mins walk from the palace, also close to markets), the hotel is new and clean. The bed was comfy and the water pressure was the best I had in India. Also, the water in tte shower is properly hot. They kindly allowed to check in a bit earlier. There is also a nice restaurant on the terrace where they serve buffet style breakfast. All the staff were nice and polite with me.
It was very convenient for me.If I come again mysore definitely I will try to stay here again because, location is right place where from I can travel anywhere in the city and hotel staffs was very good. They provided me newspaper everyday from news paper I got everyday news, what's going on in the city. If i wanted to vehle, food services they provided to me for whole this reason I loved this hotel.
Kaveri Hotel Bed and breakfast is a very nice, quiet hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and have made us feel truly welcome. "Kaveri" means "friend" in Finnish language, and it is very well suited to this place. Good breakfast, dinner available, clean room.
The hotel is situated at an easy walking distance from Mysore Palace. Rickshaws are easy to get.
Abdul Nasir, Asif, John, Raju , Mon , Monisha, Kumar and everyone we dealt with were very courteous and we really enjoyed our stay. Asif and Kumar are very good drivers and we enjoyed our drive around Mysore and then to Kannur. We’ll be returning to Mysore just to stay in the hotel thanks to the amazing staff. Keep up the good work.
This new hotel is beautifully clean and quiet and modern with good room service - just what a solo traveller needs after a frenetic day in and around Mysore. It was my safe haven. The receptionist in the afternoons/evenings spoke great English too. As a new hotel they are still finding their feet but it’s a great place to stay.
This is a great quirky hotel ideally placed in Mysore to visit the palace and the zoo. The rooftop pool was a welcome place on a hot afternoon. The dining was fabulous with good tasty food options. The design of the hotel is very interesting. Room was nice, quiet at night and had a very comfortable bed.
Felt quite luxurious- very nice design, really nice rooms and great staff. I moved here from the Taj (MG Road), and i would say for less than half the price this hotel was better on pretty much every count (except for the concierge service which was fine but not special).
Very good location, close to the Mysore palace. Decent hotel for 1 night. Having a Veg restaurant inside the hotel was a plus point. Don't expect a hi fi experience, but it does the work. Rooms were spacious enough, bathrooms were clean
The hotel is in the city centre yet in not so crowded area, the manager is exceptional and always willing to help, speaks perfectly English. He will always tell you about the cheapest transport options around mysore and so much more.
Location is the USP of this hotel - walking distance from Devraj Urs Road (Key upmarket street in Mysore) and also very close to the Railway Station, Mysore Palace and St Philomena Church. Facilities and room amenities were very good.
Cleanliness and ambience of the hotel and its reachability from Mysore palace. Location of the hotel is almost close to center. All shopping and tourist places are in reachable distance.
Don't have anything to like. I have more worst words coming out from mouth. Very very very worst experience, never ever step into this hotel, instead this you can stay even at roadside.
Very nice,cleaning ,staff well maintained
Comfortable room, good pool with sun and plenty of choice for breakfast BEST HOTEL AND CONNECTIVITY,BREAKFAST WAS AWESOME
Actually Nothing, only the hotel elevation looks so grand and inside its ambience of untidy busstand toilet, not recommended for family, worster ever stay in my life
The room was very clean and the hotel is easily visible from the road. Everyone there ensured we had an enjoyable stay. The breakfast buffet was awesome
