The view from our balcony, very comfy bed, clean towels every day
A few small things but nothing to worry about
The view from the rooftop terrace is amazing. Breakfast and dinner is served on the terrace. The food was delicious.
An exceptional hotel for the money with an amazing rooftop restaurant/bar/breakfast room over looking the old town. The location was fantastic with most sight seeing within walking distance. Rooms were clean and staff friendly.
Rooms were large but basic. if you go with that in mind you will not be disappointed as it is the best value for money hotel I have ever stayed in.
Very nice restaurant on a terasse. Good location. Good service.Value for money
Room located on the street noisy. Not good sound isolation. Lift is very old and quite slow.
Palermo is a great great city. No complaints about anything with this hotel. (we had travelled through Taormina, Syracuse, Noto, Trapani and Palermo and this place compared well with other places we stayed). High standard of accommodation in a good location on a major road - easy 5 min walking to train/bus station. It's on the edge of a great area for well priced places to eat and drink.... really lively. A lot of the lively streets and squares (5 min walk away) are in ruins - don't be put off by this. The people drinking in even the darkest alleys and squares are well behaved young people and families. The room was good with a fridge, good air con and good wifi connection. Excellent buffet breakfast which we paid 8 euros each for which was good value. The location on the terrace is special. A wide view across the rooftops of the city.
Best thing about this hotel is the view from the restaurant 'seven', which is an open air rooftop terrace. Spectacular at night. We had a lovely meal there, best gnocchi we have ever had. Breakfast served up there too. Good value clean hotel otherwise.
Bed not very comfortable! Lift very antiquated!
The view from the roof terrace is amazing
Nice and romantic view from the terrace restaurant. We also got a room on a high floor with a balcony with an almost as nice view.
Huge fixed shower head in a tiny shower cabin. I cannot stand those (personal quirk)! Balcony not the best for people who are afraid of heights. :-)
View from roof restuarant was awesome. Good basic hotel. close to rail. Staff were helpful both restuarant and front desk.
Wifi didnt work in my room had to stand in passage. Area is a bit dodgy. Hotel is a bit Faulty Towers with turn of the century lift and decor to match. Only way up to restuarant is by stairs, no good for prams or disabilities.
We checked in around 9pm and the room was hot (over 30 degrees). Why wouldn't they turn the ac on ahead of time? The tiny ac worked hard to reduce the heat to sleepable level....maybe by 3am? The furniture while lovely antique, is dark and heavy. The lovely photos and comments for this hotel are mostly about the terrace restaurant. The reviews should be for the hotel rooms which were, in my opinion, fair, at best.
The view from the roof terrace was very impressive and the bar and restaurant staff were helpful and friendly.
The reception staff were reasonably efficient but not very friendly or particularly engaging. The room was quite ordinary but acceptable.
This was a great hotel for a night in Palermo at the end of our stay in Sicily. It's very near the railway station and a short walk to the port and centre. The staff were helpful and friendly. We loved the old fashioned lift and quirky layout over 5 floors. The view from the roof terrace is truly spectacular and not to be missed!
Location. Clean & comfy bed. Booked deluxe room, but as I was teavelling solo, they included breakfast at no extra cost.
Room located along corridore leading up to terrace, made it a bit noisy. Don't consider the suite rated as deluxe. Fridge wasn't cold, but they made other arrangements for me to access.
the staff is always kind and friendly. the services are good. having breakfast on the terrace is really nice:)
- near to airport shuttle - good brekfast - beautiful restaurant area with magnificent view of palermo
- room a little small
Very little apart from location to bus station. They give airport shuttle on review, but it's not to the door, you have to walk to station, not far but for an older person having to carry bags, not happy, and it's on the outer side of Central city.
On opening window of room allotted I looked onto a wall,so asked to change, as was there for 2 nights. I was given another room which was fine, but still kept shutters closed as not the best of views.
Lovely breakfast on roof-terrace, with great view.
Staff fairly cool and impersonal.
Beautiful rooftop terrace - amazing view and lovely to escape from the heat and noise of the city. Excellent central location. Parking not too hard - hotel has a couple of free spaces just round the corner or people will help you to park and 'mind' your car for a small fee.
Large room but very dingy and characterless
What a great little hotel this is in middle of town, the views from the roof top restaurant are breathtaking, the rooms are clean and tidy also.. Joe Perth Western Australia
Location, Roof Top Terrace
Tiny Shower, Broken Toilet Seat, Breakfast was minimal and not topped up.
View from terrace. Great rooms. Great hotel
Breakfast very limited Staff not helpful. But view awesome
The location was great and central for walking and to public transportation. The airport bus was a five minute walk away. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was huge! There was a safe in the room which we appreciated having. And of course, the rooftop terrace was exceptional. What a spectacular view over the city! We enjoyed having breakfast there (and the breakfast was varied and plentiful) and had dinner there in the restaurant one evening. We also used it as an open air place to read and relax in the late afternoon. It was an oasis after a full day of walking.
I hope the owner reads this! We loved the hotel and thought it really excellent in so many ways. Except: the two staff members who watched over the breakfast were NOT hospitable. They were like sentries, asking us for our room number, watching what everyone ate, monitoring the scene in a very ungracious way that made people feel uncomfortable. The staff who were actually making coffees etc. were lovely and friendly. But the two on duty need to relax, to step away from their observation point and to learn how to welcome guests and to make them feel at ease.
Restaurant. Good food and great service.
Good location in centre of town, great breakfast terrace on top and very helpful staff.
Wifi was impossible in room. Key broke in the door so could not be locked. There was no safe in the room which was rather small and cramped.
Location, near the airport bus, the harbour and centre tourist sites and the best view from Th e roof bar and restaurant
Would have been a bit nicer if the room had been a little bigger and the bed a touch softer
