Located in the heart of Palermo, just a few steps from the magnificent cathedral and the famous Via Maqueda, this hotel was once the noble 18th century Palazzo Tarallo.
Score from 866 reviews Very good
Palazzo Santa Cecilia is set in Palermo. This property offers free Wi-Fi and modern-style apartments with a balcony and air conditioning. Teatro Politeama is less than 2 km away.
Score from 179 reviews Very good
The modern and functional Ibis Styles Palermo features a sea-view, rooftop terrace overlooking the harbor of Palermo, which is just 165 ft away.
Score from 1665 reviews Very good
Great rooftop terrace with incredible views, attentive staff, good breakfast selections, nice area for evening drinks. Room was clean but somewhat small, bed was comfortable, very quiet. Easy walkability from train station and to historic center. Small elevator a plus for getting luggage up 5 flights.
WiFi signal was not available from our room which was a bit inconvenient since we relied on having a Internet access for restaurant & tourist info. WiFi was available on rooftop terrace. Elevator went as far as 5th floor and had to walk 2 additional flights to get to 7th floor rooftop terrace & restaurant; would be difficult for some and definitely not handicap accessible.
Drinks on the terrace; breakfast
The room we were allocated was small and very dark. The Wifi did not work in the room.
The breakfast and the, best and sensational, view make this hotel well worth the stay.
Rooftop dining was spectacular.
The location was ideal for a tourist without a car.
We were surprised that we were charged over $50 for breakfasts and extra taxes when we thought it was included in the quoted nightly rate.
The rooftop restaurant has an incredible view and it is a great place to unwind when you first arrive.
The room was stated as deluxe, but it did not feel deluxe at all. Basic, in fact. The bathroom was a great size and clean but the main room/bedroom was very small, dark and dull- not what you would expect when offered "deluxe". The rooftop restaurant was also very over priced.
rooms were spacious with little terrazzo breakfast areas fantastic terrazzo was fabulous - with a 360deg view VERY clean and quiet considering we faced Roma street
the elevator was different!! but I guess it wasn't designed for one so we should be grateful it's even there! also couldn't get a drink in the bar til 5pm!! showers are small
Roof top terrace was fantastic with its great view over the roof tops of Palermo. breakfast was good with lots of choices. Our room was very quiet no noise heard late at night and the location was great.
very hard beds and pillows
Loved the terrace restaurant for breakfast. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful. Room size for 2 single people was very good.
There is only lift and it is a bit small but worked OK for our needs
Very helpful personnel. Clean, comfortable, large quiet room. Excellent breakfast on a terrace with a beautiful view of Palermo. Perfect location for visitors. Our special request was fulfilled. We had a perfect three day stay. Would go back without any hesitation.
spotty wi fi
Location was perfect, very central. Rooms and the inside of the building were better than it seems in the pictures. View from the terrace was excellent. Good breakfast.
We chose this hotel for the terrace and it was perfect for evening drinks and dinner and views over the city at sunset. Location is easy 10 minutes walk to the bus and train station and handy to Cathedral, Teatro Mossimo, fabulous fresh markets. All staff very helpful especially with assistance to check in with our flights
Wifi very slow and kept cutting out.
Location Rooftop terrace
Wifi was very iffy Lift was small and cramped
Located in heart of historic district. Large, clean room, nicely appointed. Spectacular view from rooftop bar/restaurant. Very helpful front desk staff.
Rooftop restaurant service needs improvement.
Nice room at the back. Quiet. Double shower! Rooftop terrace/restaurant Location.
Big noisy group commandeering the rooftop when we arrived. Small cramped lift, only just big enough for 2 of us with suitcases.
Good location, close to train and bus terminal and walking distance to all places worth seeing. Friendly staff, good bed and bathroom with nice big shower and good size room. Air conditioning was very good and so was breakfast which was served on the roof top terrace. Nice hotel.
Fantastic roof top views for breakfast and evening drinks.
Roof top Restaurant and Bar. Very helpful front desk staff, especially when needing personal attention following street robbery. Convenient location for Rail and airport bus. Central location for restaurants and city sights within easy walking. Room services very good.
Old, small and cranky lift. Lack of English speaking TV News channels, neither BBC World nor CNN, despite very many UK and US visitors.
The view from our balcony, very comfy bed, clean towels every day
A few small things but nothing to worry about
1.The rooms were spacious compared to other European hotels. 2.Eventhough the rooms we occupied were fronting the street the triple glass window shutters kept the rooms very quite. 3. The roof-top restaurant and cocktail bar has a fantastic view of the city and the meals we had were excellent.
1.The parking to drop off baggage and check-in is very limited in such a busy street so double parking is required but that seems to be the Sicilian way. 2. The lift whilst quaint is limited in capacity so a few trips may be needed.
The view from the rooftop terrace is amazing. Breakfast and dinner is served on the terrace. The food was delicious.
An exceptional hotel for the money with an amazing rooftop restaurant/bar/breakfast room over looking the old town. The location was fantastic with most sight seeing within walking distance. Rooms were clean and staff friendly.
Rooms were large but basic. if you go with that in mind you will not be disappointed as it is the best value for money hotel I have ever stayed in.
Very nice restaurant on a terasse. Good location. Good service.Value for money
Room located on the street noisy. Not good sound isolation. Lift is very old and quite slow.
