The room is very new and clean. Staff very helpful. Room is well equipped really enjoyed my 1 night wished I could stay longer in this Hotel!
The hosts. The location.
Everything, excellent value.
Perfect location, very lovely host. Even though not hot but good variety of breakfast. Very clean and luxurious stay. Really enjoyed my stay
The pillow was a little bit hard for me. The wifi network was a little bit low in our bedroom.
Location, the modern furniture and bathroom, the cleanness, the breakfast...
Absolutely great location, you are in Sassi within 2 minutes walk. Free parking
B&B Donna Eleonora is run by two sisters, Silvia and Rosanna, both of whom are friendly and very helpful. The B&B is in a quiet apartment building, has only three rooms and is in a great location very close to the Sassi, shopping and restaurants.
My only recommendation to the staff is that providing a home cooked sweet, instead of everything from packets, would make for an even nicer breakfast, or even something bought from the patisserie just around the corner.
An easy walk from the station, and very close to the old town, where you can spend the morning getting lost amongst the tiny winding alleys, admiring the gorgeous buildings, find somewhere for lunch, and not be too far to come home for a big siesta. And do it all again before dinner! I lived Matera and I loved this bnb. The staff were very attentive. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing time. If I'm ever in Matera again I'll definitely be back.
Great location,helpful staff,only 3rooms,v clean and comfortable,v good breakfast,highly recommend
The b&b is perfectly located, Sassi area starts just around the corner. The room is spacious, very modern and clean. Looks like it is brand new and very well maintained. We did like the room (though we stayed just one night). When we arrived, there was a celebration in the town and the streets were jammed and partially closed for cars, and we had a difficulty finding our way to the place. So Silvia came to accompany us, which was really very nice of her. We would definitely recommend this place if you go to Matera.
We had to wait for the check-in.
This B&B has a nice location ,a kind stuff. It's next to the historical center and near to the railway station.(7-8 minutes). Big room.Bathroom was clean.
Very good location for seeing the city - if you can park!
Location is perfect, its easy to walk to all you need to see. The sisters are very helpful nothing seems to be too much trouble. The room is quiet plain but is clean and adequate.
Narrow single beds in Twin room. A bit noisy due to thin walls.
Good shower in room. Location great for visiting Matera.
Nothing. Everything was fine.
A great budget option for a visit to Matera. In a modern building but right on the edge of the old sassi district. You'll be walking among the old sassi within minutes. Plenty of decent restaurants within easy walking distance. Two sisters manage the place, and they are very nice and clearly care about the satisfaction of their guests. A very nice breakfast with a lot of choices is served each morning. Highly recommended.
It would be nice to have tea making facilities
There was parking and the owner very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and location good. The accommodation was really nice.
The location of the b&b is extremely convenient, minutes away from the central bit of Matera. Our host Silvia was very friendly, welcoming and efficient. She is very knowledgeable about Matera and its history and encouraged any questions. The room was very spacious, newly refurbished and wonderfully decorated. Everything worked well. The breakfast was served with great care and attention. Matera itself is one of the most interesting cities in Italy I have ever been to and staying in Donna Eleonora certainly contributed to the pleasant experience of our time there.
