Location and views
Breakfast was extremely poor-staff were not topping up the food and many times were talking behind the bar instead of serving.
I love this hotel. I will go back again.
Great Location, Large Modern Room in a Historic Building. Good Breakfast. Great Cappuccino
was there for 6 nights and the A/C didn't work. Complain every day but to no avail. Plus it was a JR suite. The only room that did have a A/C vent was the bedroom the living was a sauna. This is the reason why I gave the "quality of Sleep" fair. Finally opened the windows at night only to be bitten by mosquitoes. WiFi didn't work every day.
The hotel is just beautiful, the rooms are great, the bed was amazing and the BATHROOM was fabulous!
Bedroom in New extension was good size and excellent bathroom.
Breakfast average for standard of hotel.
the room was very tired. the bed covers looked old and tired
Great location, very clean, nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, room cleaned and towels changed daily. All made my stay in Florence a perfect one.
Very nice hotel, great location, helpful staff, parking service, overall a very good 3 day trip!
The breakfast crew were the only slightly unfriendly people. Maybe we caught them on a bad day.
The staff was very helpful. The breakfast good.
The size of the rom and the fact that you could not black out the light in the night.
LOVED the room: BEAUTIFUL. It was a brand new suite in their newly renovated Annex with a fabulous view of the river Anno and bridges. The rooms were tastefully done in modern style with muted brown, tans, cream and black. The living areas was fabulous with two comfy sofas and large screen TV and mini bar. Great to kick back and relax after a day in the city. Bedroom equally nice, modern, clean and views of river. Bed had draping that made it look very romantic. Classic lighting with lamps. Bathroom was awesome with rain shower heads and good lighting. They even had robes and slippers. Breakfast was decent. Not fabulous but good. Cappuccinos made fresh :)
The reception area, upon arrival, made me think: Hmmmm. Down market, did we choose the right hotel. When entering hotel there is an empty foyer that leads to a very tiny elevator to take to reception on 2nd floor. Reception look a bit old and beat up and I felt like we had chosen wrong hotel - like a glorified youth hostel. Annex and main hotel separate so you have to go to main hotel to eat or use internet. No Internet in room. Small elevator that fits one person and one piece of luggage at a time.
Location, staff, breakfast.
The A/C in the room didn't work, had to change rooms. Hotel is a bit on the expensive side. Wi-Fi not very reliable.
Location was perfect and we had a nice river view from our room. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was very good.
air-conditioned didn't work at all and it was hard to sleep at night due to this.
El trato del personal a cargo.
We have paid almost 150 Eur for a classic double room in this hotel. Even though the hotel location is excellent the rooms are really awful: dirty floors and towels, noisy room (from air conditioning installation or other thing), smelly room due to mould on the walls. For such a price is not acceptable to offer such conditions. You can find a better hotel 40 m away at lower price. Poor breakfast
Location Staff Breakfast Excellent
Wifi not available at our area, 4th floor
Great location near the main sites. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Simple facilities, but if all you want is a place to sleep for a couple of nights while enjoying Florence, then it is fine.
Hotel is on a few floors and other occupants on some floors, with reception on the second floor (with lift) - so a little awkward. The rooms are a little tired, but clean and perfectly adequate.
Loved the breakfast and the deluxe suite! Thanks so much i really recommend this hotel to everyone!
I liked everything hahaha
Central location. Good breakfast. Clean hotel. Friendly staff.
Private bathroom away from bedroom. Narrow bed. No ironing facilities except to do the ironing in dining room or bar!!!!!!!
The location was good. Good shower in room
Poor customer service Try and get money out of you for any little thing Rude staff members Quality of rooms very basic
The hotel is in excellent location. Not noisy but close to everything in florence. Breakfast was very good.
Small room. Bad A/C. Old room facilities.
The room was spacious and clean. The staff at reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is brilliant, walking distance from the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery.
We stayed at Bretagna while picking up a daughter from school in Florence. Had our children in tow, who took two rooms in the original hotel; we stayed in the new annex. The location cannot get much better than this, being within easy walking distance of the whole historic center of Florence. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room in the annex was excellent; if you book one, see if you can get it facing the Arno river for an exquisite view. The rooms in the original building were very nice and quaint, with more of a bed and breakfast bohemian feel. One last thing: there is a terrace at the top of the annex, with a few lounge chairs and great views of the city; definitely worth the trip.
Not much we didn't like. The only slight problem is that WiFi was not accessible from one of the rooms in the original building (in general there is great coverage throughout both buildings).
The location is Great because its near everything and the view to the canal its beautifull,Love It.
There was a problem with the toillet because the water was liking and so we had trouble slepping with the sound it made. I told the hotel to fix it several times and they didn't though they say they would!
- Great location - Good breakfast - Good staffs
- Room is old
Hotel Bretagna is located in the pallazio, you can feel the atmosphere looking at the high painted ceiling and fire place of the old century in the room. Very great location, tasty breakfasts, nice night views of the river and bridge Ponte Vecchio, in foot distance to all attractions. I do recommend this place to the visitors who want to spend their vacation with no stress.
