The room was spacious and clean. The staff at reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is brilliant, walking distance from the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery.
- Great location - Good breakfast - Good staffs
- Room is old
The staff is wonderful, location is awesome, rooms are big with vaulted ceilings. If you manage to get a room with the river view you will not be disappointed. The sunset and sunrise on the river are stunning. Florence is my favorite Italian city and you can visit all the sites from this location.
Our suite was enormous, adorned with original frescos on the 5 metre high ceilings. All this whilst overlooking the river and the many bridges.
it was perfect for what I had to do in Florence. It is close to all the most famous sites. The breakfast was great. The view from breakfast and reception desk was wonderful. I stayed in a single room which was a little small but very clean and it had everything I needed. I am sure they must have some rooms with the same view as from the breakfast room which should be wonderful.
location is good
Decor, location, staff, breakfast!
Wifi could be better and needs some dusting!
Wonderful place to stay with superb views, Breakfast was fantastic, nothing but praise for the Staff, location, comfort, views etc etc :))
Location was perfect. Had the room over-looking the river. Our views were gorgeous. Recommendations from the front desk for dinner were hit and miss. Loved the place they suggested in Santo Spirito but the other was a tourist trap. The breakfast dining room was spectacular. We regret not having spent an evening in there with a bottle of wine.
Pillows are terrible.
Room decoration Bed confortness Discretion View Optimal location
Air conditioning somewhat uncontrollable Noisiness of the Lungarno street kife can be heard in the room
Friendly and helpful staff. Wifi and computer with internet included. Location in front of the river.
No breakfast included, very expensive for the quality of the hotel. The rooms could be better. Bad tv.
Next to the river Lovely building Great breakfast, especially love the iced yogurt.
A little expensive
Walk to everything, updated modern room! The front desk lady walked us to the room! Great service!
Air conditioner didn't get that cold. Elevator is small. No parking but using the garage they recommend worked out great!!
The staff was wonderful. The ladies could not have been any more pleasant, accommodating and helpful. We were very pleased with their help.
The hotel needs better WiFi
Good sized room, great location everything in walking distance but not right in the centre and noisy, good general cleanliness, excellent staff who's language skills were second to none!
Bathroom grout needs changing or real good clean! Poor breakfast not worth the money for that at all
The view and location.
The staff were not very helpful. My sister missed her flight because the staff did not book her taxi when requested. I had to keep asking them. The room was in need of some minor repairs even though we booked a Junior Suite. The staff at breakfast were none too happy to help you. It is definitely not worth the money and I would most certainly look for alternative arrangements close to the river if I ever visited again.
Location and beautiful old building. Breakfast room is lovely with very high ceilings with large French doors to balcony with views of the River Arno and Pontevecchio Bridge and the bridge below it. Sorry don't know it's name. Be sure to cross the river and dine at Plaza Espirito Sancto. You'll be eating beautiful food, dining with the locals and paying a fraction of the price in the touristy Piazza's. Also a must us Piazza de Micheleangelo. Also across the river from the hotel. The views are amazing.
The staff at breakfast could have been more friendly and helpful.
we were at the junior suite and it was wonderfull.
Wonderful staff Great location Great wifi
The ACs didn't work well
Staff were very obliging - helped us make reservations for a half day tour of the Chianti region. Our room overlooked the river and Ponte Vecchio. Our room had recently been refurbished and was to a high standard.
The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Freshly squeezed fruit Juice should be available. I think the space is too small for the no. of guests - i had to elbow my way to the toaster. Some of the pastries and bread were stale - i couldn't finish my croissant.
The staff were extremely helpful, including their knowledge of facilities within the local area. The hotel's location is ideK for Central Florence and for seeing other less obvious areas. I would highly recommend Hotel Bretagna.
Location was near the train station. Staff was helpful.
Very old hotel with no kind of updating (except for toilets) Bed was not so comfortable. There were some ants in the room. Wifi was taking so long to work. Breakfast was very poor. The glass which I used for juce was cracked and partially broken. No facilities at all. No water heater for coffee/ tea at the room. The lift was very old & slow. Room was very small. No carpet. No slipper for the toilet. The AC is very old and barely working. TV was very small. No lagauge room so we toom the risk of keeping our bags at the living room of the hotel. The check out was at 10:30
Great location, very friendly and professional staff, charming old buidling with great views on river Arno. We highly recommend the suite in the Palazzo Alfieri building: excellent renovation (appreciated the jacuzzi bath tub and big separate walk-in shower), very good taste (elegant balance of new design and respect for the historical value of the location), magnificent views. Great value for money
Beautiful location and stunning hotel.
Rooms on courtyard need better air con.
Staff Views. Very comfortable room Parking arrangements
