Excellent location, very good breakfast, cleanliness, very helpful staff, very quiet, the best price.
Friendly and helpful staff, Excellent breakfast
my stay in Florence was to short /missed the Galeria Uffizzi
Brilliant location, beautiful room, friendly staff, tasty breakfast
staff attitude is poor and no soundproof!
The location is perfect, internet sucks.
Located by the river Strong wifi at all time
It was hard to turn on/off jacuzzi knob with soapy hand, The tv set is big but lesser quality than the spartan room in the old wing where I stayed earlier. The lack of electrical outlets, i found three in total in the suit I stayed. there was not a logical spot to plug in the water heater where it was placed.
The location and the staff were excellent. I stayed in both a top floor room with a balcony and a double room and both of them were clean and comfortable. Personally, I preferred the double rom because it had a bit more space but the balcony would be nice during the warmer months.
Does not provide a breakfast option.
By the arno river, spacious room although spartan. I was offer breakfast because I travel solo in a three person room. Staffs were helpful to point out must see sites, eateries, etc.
Great location Jacozzi Room size and facilities Internet Every thing
location was great, view was great, room was astonishing (executive double), and breakfast was great.
the wifi quality was very poor
The view and location was amazing, the breakfast was decent, and the staff was friendly.
The bed was AWFUL. It was comparable to sleeping on a rock. The shower and separate tub were both small, definitely not big enough for two people which was disappointing. The WiFi was spotty on the 4th floor. Additionally, when I originally booked the room, I sent a request to get a room with a balcony, to which I got an email saying all rooms had a balcony...but when I got there, NONE of the rooms had a balcony. Not sure if it was a misunderstanding/language issue, but that was sort of disappointing.
No heat in room
The location could not have been better! Easy walk from train. Check out the day before really made the check out day easy. They arranged a taxi to airport quickly. Easy walk to all main tourist attractions. Friendly and Helpful Staff.
Scaffolding in courtyard blocked the window.
Friendly staff, location, breakfast
We visited this hotel in January. There is now hitter in room (cold) WiFi - does not work in room (reception only)
Location & breakfast
Wifi was patchy and bed was hard
perfect location and the staffs are helpful.
Staff attitude. Hotel location.
No facilities in the room like coffee machine or boiler. Poor WiFi signal. Matress covers.
need to get bed comforters. The blanket and bed cover were of poor quality.
The staff were delightful, nothing was too much trouble.
Bathroom was very small.
breakfast and receptionalists
This hotel is terrible for its wifi, which never works in the room. The receptionalist said they will fix it everyday, but never fixed it until we left. I hope they can fix it after we leave, which will make other customers convenient. In addition, the shower does not work well in our room. It can not be shifted from the tape to the shower because the button was totally broken. I complained about that to the manager, they finally waived two breakfasts, which show their good atitude to solve the problems. Both problems are not big issues, but will make customers very disappointed becaue I have to get up very early to the lobby to work with internet (Many people now work with internet).
Attractions in Florence are close to each other so no need to book a hotel near the river when you don't have a view of the river , definitely can find a reasonable one in any other parts of the city .
The shower didn't work same as the locker . Wifi was awful in 4th floor . The key was too big and heavy !
Everything except breakfast
The check in process was handled quickly and efficiently and we were given a map to the city and told where all the sites were, like the leather market. The room was huge, the biggest we had had in our travels of a month. It had a bubble bath and we got chocolates in the room every day. We managed to walk to all the sites in the first afternoon we were there which left the next day free to explore more in depth. We even walked up the hill to the Michaelangelo statue. We caught a local bus out to the World War 2 cemetery , which was vey well kept. Travelling on public transport is always nice as you get a feel of how the locals live. Breakfast was the usual continental style and was adequate. You can see all the sights of the city by walking or using public transport. Florence is a lovely city and I wouldn't mind going back for another visit and will definitely stay at Hotel Bretagne again.
Sara at the frontdesk was most helpful and the staff was cheerful and made our stay good. The breakfast was elaborate and excellently laid out.
The shower screen although was not fixed and could have been repaired before handing over the room. The furnishing was sparse too.
We loved this Hotel for many reasons; Close to the artistic centre of Florence. Just beside the Ponte Vecchio . Fantastic breakfast Very helpful staff who looked after our luggage till we could check in. Great, great coffee - we like our coffee.
