The location of the hotel was the best. Close to everything.
I had a single room, which included a bathroom that was down the hall. The bathroom wasn't shared but it wasn't in the room either. I actually knew this when I booked the room, but I didn't like it and wouldn't do it again.
The breakfasts were incredible --freshly baked good, fresh fruit, and fine cappuccino. The location, right on the Arno and within walking distance to all major sights, is terrific.
Location and comfort of bed
Wifi was free but extremely unreliable and slow
The location was great, very central. 5mins from station and 2mins from ponte vecchio and the uffizzi. The staff were more than helpful. The room was basic and clean. The breakfast was good.
Great location. Nice old Building. Our suit has the two beds in the same, small room but a lovely view of the Arno river. Breakfast was great, lots of variety and polite staff. If arriving by car, park directly out the front of the hotel in the yellow-lined space and the staff will park the car in the car park next door for you.
One particular female staff member seemed to jump to being overly defensive and trying to place blame on guests when simple and polite queries were made. It was pretty noticeable, not just to me. The lady was otherwise helpful and polite, once finished with condescending comments. It was confusing. I'm hoping it was just due to a language barrier, which I implore you fellow travellers remember to be mindful of :) Wifi was pretty inconsistent with both mine and my Father's devices. Toilet wouldn't flush for a while, then flushed itself repeatedly all night, which kept us awake a fair bit. It was fixed the next day, and being an old building, these kind of random issues are expected.
Room is large enough. Lake view is very very nice.
We got the problem of the sink, but could not got it fixed until next morning.
The hotel is situated on the river front which is what we wanted. We stayed in the economy double room which was a good sized room. The bed was a lot bigger than expected for a double so that was a nice surprise.
The hotel was slightly confusing to find, we found the building but stood there trying to find exactly where to go. We pressed the buzzer then got told to go to the second floor. The only thing that I was not keen on was mould on the bathroom walls but that was it. Overall it's a decent hotel to stay in.
The view of the Arno from our window and proximity to restaurants and museums.
Excellent location on the Arno River, just steps from Ponte Vecchio. The staff was friendly and helpful. The building was lovely. Best hotel shower ever (hot water, high pressure, rainshower head.) Breakfast was decent and included lots of options.
The room and bathroom were mostly clean, but there were stains on the walls (wine spill?) and on the extra blanket. Room could use a little refresh or just a good, deep clean.
Lovely hotel, typically Italian. Staff helpful and welcoming.
No problems but tea/coffee in room would be even better.
Good location, rooms were nice and clean. Staffs were very attentive. Excellent stay.
The staff are what make this hotel they were so helpful and friendly
The hotel is in need of good make over it's clean and tidy but just needs a good coat of paint
The location. Nothing else.
The room was really dirty. When I arrived there were hairs all over the bathroom, hairs on the blanket, a thick layer of dust on the towel rail (which didn't work) and a smell of drains whenever the expel air was on. The walls were so thin I could hear the man in the next room brushing his teeth and spitting out his toothpaste, amongst other things. The tablecloths in the breakfast room were stained and covered in crumbs and bits of food. The TV never got any signal or the signal was interrupted constantly. When I went to leave my baggage after check out i was told to leave it in the bar area with everyone else's suitcases - there was no securely locked room or tag to check you were taking the right bag. It reminded me of a really cheap youth hostel.
The location is great
Staff helpful. Size of room
Wifi didn't reach into bedroom. Toilet didn't work properly. Even after reported it.
brackfast was very good
bathroom small and difficult to use. voice insulation between the room very bad.
the place is accessible to the heart of the historic center of Florence, everything is just a walking distance away. the staff are friendly and helpful.
Excellent location, very good breakfast, cleanliness, very helpful staff, very quiet, the best price.
Friendly and helpful staff, Excellent breakfast
my stay in Florence was to short /missed the Galeria Uffizzi
Brilliant location, beautiful room, friendly staff, tasty breakfast
staff attitude is poor and no soundproof!
The location is perfect, internet sucks.
Located by the river Strong wifi at all time
It was hard to turn on/off jacuzzi knob with soapy hand, The tv set is big but lesser quality than the spartan room in the old wing where I stayed earlier. The lack of electrical outlets, i found three in total in the suit I stayed. there was not a logical spot to plug in the water heater where it was placed.
The location and the staff were excellent. I stayed in both a top floor room with a balcony and a double room and both of them were clean and comfortable. Personally, I preferred the double rom because it had a bit more space but the balcony would be nice during the warmer months.
Does not provide a breakfast option.
