Datini apartment is an Holiday Apartment. It is located at the first floor (europen) of an ancient building in the old town of Prato very close to Palazzo Datini and Collegio Cicognini and 5/7 minutes from Porta al Serraglio Train Station. 2 double bedrooms with twins beds with wifi, air conditioning and Smart TV, dishwasher, washing machine, a terrace. The apartment is ideal for families of 3/4 or for 3/4 collegues.

Neighborhood info

Datini Apartment is in the medieval city center, very close to Datini Palace, home of "the merchant of Prato" Francesco Datini. The area is full of coffee bars, a supermarket, restaurants, ice cream shops, where you can taste typical tuscany food, in particular from Prato. Only if you don't want to use the kitchen, of course! Datini Apartment is very close also to Palazzo Pretorio (150 m) Museum that hosts interesting exhibitions and owns a wonderful collections of Renaissance paintings (Filippo Lippi, Paolo Uccello, Andrea della Robbia, Filippino Lippi). In the area around the apartment there are a lot of shops, one bank with cash machine, restaurants and bars. Prato Porta al Serraglio Train Station is only 700 meters away and you can get it just 5-7 minutes on foot. That is perfect if you want to travel towards Florence, Pisa, Lucca, or Viareggio and to the sea of Versilia, or also get Bolonia. Prato, very close to Florence is a city enclosed by ancient walls that conceal hidden treasures: The Lippi's frescoes and the Donatello's Pulpit in Prato Cathedral, the Praetorian Palace, the Emperor's Castle and the story of the merchant of Prato Francesco Datini.
