was to noisy, the rooms are not haven close to the hotel brochure, are poor and not well equipped, should be 3***

The Ripa Hotel is a design hotel, the rooms are comfortable, staff is friendly and the breakfast buffet is very good. It's located in Trastevere near many good pizzeria's and in ten minutes you are in the centre of Rome using the tram.

The only thing we did not like are the elevators, these are very tiny and a bit slow.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was fabulous. The breakfast was pretty good to.

The location was a bit far from the main attractions. There was also no bar. I think it was being renovated but that was not advertised.

Very marked sense of style, visual appeal, to the detriment of some comfort and utility

stale pastries in the am; no closets, no drawers for clothing, only stylish storage without enough hangers

It was close to the city centre, comfortable and it provided very good breakfast.

Most of the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful.

The location was the only redeeming feature about this hotel.

It is by no means a 4 star hotel. I imagine it may have once looked like the pictures, however possibly 40 years ago and after years of neglect and its cheap furnishings in the mix it now looks like a cheap youth hostel. The walls were damp in the corridors as were the floors in the rooms. The rooms were nothing like advertised and the breakfast was terrible. There is also a building site opposite

Very good room with excellent air con and bathroom

Hotel bar was closed throughout stay, staff were not very friendly and we were not advised in advance that the hotel bar would be closed

wide range of breakfast, clean room although drab, wallpaper was peeling off!

sloppy service by staff e.g. i had an important delivery to be made @the hotel &requested reception to call me as soon as it arrived. they did not;it was not until the following day that i found that it had already been delivered. no apology was offered. hotel had no iron, the staff said they would iron an outfit for me 'as a favour'; on checking out, i discovered they had included a hefty charge

The staff were fantastic - it was our honeymoon and they upgraded us to an executive room and on the third day was my wife's birthday which we had not told them and yet they must have seen the birthday cards in our room as we got back from a day of touring Rome and there was a lovely cold bottle of Prosecco and some chocolates from the hotel as a birthday present!
