The staff were extremely friendly but there were language barriers with only the head waiter speaking English. Ok for a domestic hotel, but not international. It was off season but I still paid over £100 per night for a very small single room, not good value for money in comparison to other countries in low season. Thankfully the team were kind enough to move me to a basic double for two night of a 4 night stay. The hotel is a beautiful location near the park & overlooking stunning scenery, suitable for a to Antic break, but not for solo travellers like me. I felt very much out of place being there alone.
Breakfast was outstanding. The balcony was huge but mostly open unusable space.
Beds were extremely uncomfortable... hard as a rock. Third bed was after thought to make more money. Room was tiny for three adults. Toilet seat was off-center and loose. Turkish bath was not operational and indoor pool/spa/hot tub was extremely small.
rooms lovely view outstanding balcony lovely! Breakfast very good! The woman in charge of breakfast Excellent...she had a wonderful attitude.
We were not introduced to the facilities. How to use etc. Steam room not turned on at times. Facilities short hours. Not open 24 hrs.
To be able to visit and relax in the same place.
- Fairly close to sea - nice view to the sea from room and from top terrace - good restaurant
- special vouchers to beach which made rental of beach equipment more expensive than without - instead of 'fast wifi' there is lack of wifi in rooms - some of staff people are really rude - concerts at nights in reception area played loud enough that you have to listen to them even in your room
I liked the excellent service from the staff, the lovely pool and relaxation areas, the excellent choices at breakfast and the superb dinner. The Beauty Farm was an added bonus! Thanks Villa Durrueli staff for a fantastic holiday!
My room was perfect but my friends had much smaller rooms in which the bed was quite small. A small minus point for this.
Restaurant, amiable personal, spa, the roof bar view
Maids are very amiable, but they don't clean floors well. hotel a little bit over-priced
Nice pool area
Rooms were very small considering the cost per night. The wifi did not work at all. The rooms were way too dark. Towels for the pool had to be rented at a cost per day- they should have been included in the price considering the type of hotel it claimed to be. We were even charged a day's rental for the towels for the day we checked out- even though we checked out first thing in the morning and the towels were not used that day.
Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location. Very comfortable room.
A very warm welcome with many useful informations. Very welcoming crew.
set dinner menu
Lovely clean hotel, good sized room and pool. Nice poolside bar and lunch restaurant.
Nothing - it was all very nice.
lovely hotel ,staff very helpful and friendly
Two things you should know about me: I am a single traveler, used to getting the worse rooms in a hotel and I am not a complainer. I booked into Villa Durruelli because I had just finished a grueling 14 month assignment and need the spa and much quiet sleep. I decided to book a double room (instead of a single) to give myself a treat. The double room I was given faced a wall and was above the restaurant (I guess you can get bad rooms by paying more). That night there was much noise and clanking of dishes as people were eating outside and I couldn’t sleep. The next morning I asked if there was a quiet room (I had requested a quiet room through Booking.com). The lady agreed that it had been noisy the previous night and offered me a quiet single room because the hotel was booked solid. I took the single room. The room was off the lobby and that afternoon someone was playing a grand piano on the other side of my bedroom wall. I thought it was entertainment but it seemed to be someone practicing the piano. This went on for two hours. Do you know how irritating it is to have someone making mistakes over and over and trying to correct them on a piano? Finally, I got up and went for a walk. I do not know who this person was, but the hotel didn’t stop him (I didn't complain). When I went to check out I asked the hotel if I could be compensated for the fact that I had stayed in a single room for two nights. The lady at the desk said “no, because I had paid in advance and I had accepted the downgrade.” I responded that I had requested a quiet room, the single room was the only thing available because the hotel was booked, and the hotel had actually rented out the room I had given up so the hotel made money off of me. (If the hotel had not rented out the room I gave up, I would not have said anything.) She said no and I left. I then contacted Booking.com to get their opinion of the situation.
We were ready for a short relaxing break in the sun. This hotel did not disappoint and had everything we were looking for namely a great location, quiet, and great staff who provided excellent service. The breakfast was superb.
A bit picky but the WiFi did not extend to our room!
Good location at Ischia Ponte, Nice spacious rooms, clean.
Pool area needs upgrading, breakfast was very basic, spa treatments were average
We booked two rooms and they gave us an upgrade to rooms with balconies (and a peek of the sea from the corner of the balcony.) Staff is very nice and accommodating. It was an excellent value for the money.
We were there for just a short stay. If we stayed for longer ( and with warmer weather) I would probably choose a place on the beach. I noticed that they tend to run out of some staff at breakfast and don't replenish. Also the hot tub and spa area doesn't get cleaned towards the end if the day. Also the room was a little bare - we could have used an armchair and there was room for it. But those are minor things and they didn't spoil our stay.
Wonderful location Friendly and helpful staff
Having to pass through Naples
What's not like, the location was excellent, close to water and restaurants. Staff was professional, warm and attentive.
The bathroom area and cleaning of it could have been better for a four star facility. Room 305 could use caulking around the tube and and the bathroom a good detailed cleaning.
This is one of the best place I stayed throughout my two months trip to Italy. Stayed 8 days of pampering and spa. The receptionist Stephania, Cecilia and Maria, we're very helpful and all smiles. Really enjoyed having a patio to sit and read. The gardens are so well kept, the breakfast was the best with fruits and delicious pastries etc...The spas were just as I'd hoped and very clean. All sorts of little attentions made my stay so pleasant. The two wonderful estheticians Rosalia and Carmen are really there for your relaxation and they succeed very well. Special mention to Martina and Luigi in the restaurant for their attentions and care they put in making you feel at ease. Grazie mille.
I would not hesitate to go back but for me and my health there was way too much salt in the food. I would have used a shuttle if one had been available! Read carefully the notes in your bedroom so as to know the luncheon schedule at the pool side. During my stay didn't have been towels but were going to correct that.
We enjoyed the room with a nice view over the pool &garden the relaxing atmosphere comfortable bed as well as tasty breakfasts of yougurts mueslies fruit mozzarella excellent coffee.Every evening after a busy day with sightseeing, climbing, trekking we visited spa lounge at the basement of the hotel with hamam, thermal pool, stones for feet &even tea & croissants(included in the room price)and felt as fresh as daisy before we went to bed.the receptionists are helpful.Thanks.
