Il Casale Di Mario is a beautifully restored farmhouse surrounded by olive groves. Mario as well as mother Annunziata and sister Rafaela were very kind and welcoming. They were very patent with my very poor ability to speak Italian. Dinners prepared by Annunziata were excellent, like both my Italian grandmothers used to prepare. Felt like being at home. Due to some unforeseen circumstances having to do with my reason for being in Montecchio, had to stay two extra days. I have never been happier about being delayed!

Here you can sample homemade olive oil and traditional Umbrian specialties. Meals can be enjoyed outdoors in warm weather. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. There is also a covered patio with tables and chairs outside. Orvieto is 30 minutes away by car, while Todi is 16 mi away. Free parking is provided.
