Hotel Virgilio

" Orvieto's Duomo is a beautiful, awe-inspiring structure and the Hotel Virgilio is perfectly situated directly on the Piazza beside the cathedral. My room was spacious, attractively decorated & quiet, with a very comfortable mattress. Staff members were extremely pleasant and helpful in arranging restaurant bookings, suggesting sightseeing itineraries and meeting every request promptly & efficiently. Breakfast was excellent & generous. I would certainly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone planning a trip to Orvieto. " More

Hotel Valentino Centro Storico

" Small boutique hotel with lift. We had a room with two twin beds and it included a mini fridge which was very nice. Great breakfast in the morning. Staff was very nice and helpful in arranging a taxi for us to vist Civita de Bagnoregio. Make sure to look up directions to the hotel before venturing out. We took a round about way! " More

Villa Acquafredda

" A beautifully restored old house with old floors, and full of character. Set in gardens, with a swimming pool, and plenty of room to sit outside. Obviously family run, we were made to feel very welcome, and the breakfast was simple but very enjoyable. The hotel is just off the autostrada, and there is a good restaurant within walking distance, so it is ideal when travelling. " More

Hotel Corso, Orvieto Very good 8.3 The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location sensational. We loved the arrangement of the towels , slippers and petals on our bed. The breakfast was terrific and because we are often misplacing things leaving the keys at reception we think is inspired. The terrace is such a lovely place to rest . A we also really enjoyed our funny encounters with the lovely cleaning lady .
Inncasa Wonderful 9.1 Difficult to find fault with this hotel...superb.
Hotel Palazzo Piccolomini, Orvieto Excellent 8.6 everything. it was quiet. There is a nice restaurant near by. the elevator took you down hill right close by. the bed was comfortable and i like the washroom.
Grand Hotel Italia Good 7.8 The location was fantastic, just a casual walk from the center of activity, dining, museums, etc. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful with all our needs. We drove to Orvieto and were able to park in a hotel-reserved spot (at a nominal charge) only a short walk from the hotel (you should reserve a parking spot in advance as it is limited availability).
Hotel Valentino Centro Storico, Orvieto Good 7.9 Spent 3 days in town one of which was used to visit Assisi. Hotel was excellent and had all the usual facilities e.g. lift, air conditioning etc. Standard Italian breakfast, excellent staff service (all with reasonable english) and close (10 minute walk) to main square. There are numerous restaurants nearby and dining out is very reasonable. The main part of the town is built on a hill. If arriving by train to Orvieto the train stops at the bottom of the town so to reach hotel there are 2 options available viz; 1) Taxi at cost of 20 euro 2) Veniculare (ski lift) which is directly outside the train station and which leaves every 10 minutes and costs 1.30 euro per single trip. It is then a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Purchase ticket at the lift station. Overall Orvieto is well worth a short visit and is to be recommended.
Hotel Duomo Excellent 8.9 The owners were very pleasant and accomodating. Although English wasn't their primary language it was better than our Italian and they were able to answer all our questions.
Hotel Aquila Bianca Good 7.7 The staff was cheerful and very helpful answering questions and making.recommendations. The included breakfast buffet was excellent. I wish all my stays in Italy were as good as The Hotel Aquila Bianca.
Hotel La Badia di Orvieto Very good 8.2 Country location, fine food, great staff, lovely facilities! This place was a real find, and we highly valued our stay here instead of in the town. We hope to return. The English-Italian was no problem, and they were so helpful with guidance.
Altarocca Wine Resort, Orvieto Wonderful 9.3 The entire staff from reception to cleaning, banquet and restaurant was extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The property itself is gorgeous as well as the accommodations, modern, clean and adapted for short term living. Outside, there are fresh aromatic herbs and flowers everywhere, plenty of space and tranquility for all. The restaurant food was delicious. Definitely a place I would return to and recommend to friends.
Affittacamere Valentina Excellent 8.8 we loved the setting and the area, and could happily retire there.
Locanda Palazzone Wonderful 9 Elegant spacious room and furnishings with gorgeous views Spectacular grounds and countryside Warm, helpful staff Beautiful dining room
B&B Ripa Medici Exceptional 9.8 Sabrina and her family is wonderful. Made us feel like part of the family. Great location, even better experience. And what a view!
Pietra Campana Exceptional 9.8 女主人非常熱情,還幫我們預定城裡最好的餐廳.早餐用餐環境很特別,且豐盛好吃.房間很大又舒適,過了一個很舒服的夜晚!
Agriturismo San Giorgio, Orvieto Wonderful 9.1 >The fresh flowing stream running right by the side of the Property was MAGIC! - our kids waded through it several times, and, in June, it was alive with tadpoles turning into Frogs. >Large Kid friendly Pool (although whole pool 1.50m metres deep, so not ideal for toddlers, but the lovely hosts supplied "Floaties". >Very large grassed Kid friendly play area, with volleyball court, "cage" Trampoline, table tennis and room to kick a Football. >The lovely hosts Sylvia and Nonna cooked us a typical Umbrian Dinner one night, and Grandpa (Mario) took me for a fantastic 2 hour walk through the local Countryside. >On arrival, Sylvia made sure she knew which train we were on, and collected us from Orvieto Train Station, and drove us to the Apartment. >Just a great place to take time out with small children after the bustle of Rome and before the frenzied shopping of Florence! >We found a very friendly Taxi Driver - Simone +39 360 433016 - who, once he got perfect instructions how to find the Apartment (Not easy the first time), was happy to do the 8 km to Orvieto on the days we went into town. He even waited while we did a Supermarket shop!
Casa Orchidea Exceptional 9.7 Roberta jumped through hoops for us, walking down to the Piazza where Waze had stranded us to help us back to town. The apartment was terrific, way beyond our expectations. Starry lighting in the bedroom, rays of colored water in the shower, everything clean and sparkling. The kitchen was better equipped than home and the fridge was packed with goodies. I wanted to stay for a month!
