Palazzo Franceschini is offering accommodations in Cascia. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also has a restaurant and a terrace. Very friendly and used Google Translator to help us communicate. Perfect location to the Beslica and fun restaurants and shops. One of rooms had a 1700 AD Fresco on the ceiling!

Albergo Ristorante da Settimio is offering accommodations in San Feliciano. The property has free WiFi, as well as a terrace and a restaurant. At the hotel, rooms come with a desk. We made a mistake during the booking and they were amazing accommodating our real dates, they were closed but still managed to welcome us and make us feel at home. The breakfast is good (croissant, cake, jams, coffee, juice, tea, cappuccino, etc.), they ask you every morning what would suit you. The bedroom was spacious and the ensuite bathroom spot clean. The view from the bedroom to the lake was beyond amazing, the sunset from there is stunning. Overall, the price is very good for everything you get.

Offering outstanding views of the valley and featuring a garden, Hotel Ideale is located in Assisi, 328 feet from the San Rufino Cathedral. This hotel had the best views, breakfast, and ambiance of any we have experienced yet in Italy. Assisi is a town from another time and the cobblestone streets, bells pealing from churches and expansive view of the valley made this visit absolutely delightful. Home to saints Francis and Clare, the grace and beauty of the town is palpable. Our room was lovely - modern and fresh with a private balcony. The terrace provided a magical place to eat breakfast or dinner and enjoy the beautiful countryside. Our hosts were professional and the breakfast included delicious rustic tortas and fruit tarts. Our one regret was that we had only scheduled one night at this lovely hotel. Thanks for everything!
Set in a historic building, Hotel Mom Assisi is located in Santa Maria degli Angeli. Free WiFi access is available throughout and guests can relax at the on-site bar. We arrived on an early morning bus at 11am. I expected to drop off our bags and check in later. The lovely hostess not only allowed us to check into a large, beautiful and airy room with a lot of sunshine, she gave us a tourist map, marked all the important spots, sold us bus tickets and we were off visiting Assisi 10 minutes after we arrived. The room itself is sparkling clean with 2 large windows. The location is the best possible - directly across from the train and bus station, and yet quiet at night for a restful sleep. Breakfast costs 4 euro per person, but it is well worth the money, with good coffee, pastry, yogurt, and hand-made, fresh toasted ham and cheese sandwich. This hotel is by far the best on our trip in terms of value (reasonable price, beautiful and amazingly clean room, perfect location).
Located in Sellano, Convento di Acqua Premula has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden and terrace. The staff was above and beyond here, we were lucky to be greeted and served dinner with amazing recommendations from the most helpful staff ever, I was so tired on arrival I didn't commit his name to memory - I wish I could have mentioned it in this review - the grounds were just gorgeous and the sound of water running all the time so very peaceful! We loved it and will be back
Featuring a restaurant and bar, Hotel Centova is located 3.1 mi from Perugia's historic city center. Free Wi-Fi and free private parking are available in this property. My wife broke her wrist earlier in the day and we spent many hours at the hospital. We weren't planning to stay in Perugia overnight but circumstances made it necessary. The hotel made our last minute reservation very easy at the end of a stressful day. We slept well and were greeted by a very friendly staff at breakfast. We left quickly after breakfast but cannot say enough good things about the kind treatment from the staff. Their genuine kindness and compassion made our stay a memorable one. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we return to Perugia to for a visit beyond the hospital!

Lovely small and old town which is the birthplace of st Dominic and the gastronomic heart of Umbria (think wild mushrooms, all sorts of pulses, summer and winter truffles, and every possible pork/boar product). Sadly many ancient buildings destroyed by 2016 earthquake but don't be put off - nobody died and little damage to more recent buildings. Visitors VERY welcome as economy needs help. Great excursions to the surrounding hills, breathtaking plain of Castelluccio, rafting. Local restaurants esp "al Teatro" recommended and good value.
Perugia was a good place to do day trips from to other villages in Umbria, many good restaurants, good chocolate made there. LaTaVerna is a good restaurant two other restaurant the hotel recommended were good and reasonably priced.Very clean place.
Spello is a great base for visiting the lovely walled medieval towns of umbria. Great food, art, architecture and friendly welcoming residents.
Great home base for touring Umbria. Tip: drive up to the old town if you plan to have dinner there. Restaurants do not begin serving until 7:30. The funicular quits at 8:00; couldn’t get a taxi or bus at 9:30 p. On a Saturday night! We had to walk down an old, long, dark service road at 10:00 p.m. to reach our car in the free train station car park!
Stunning city with fantastic history. We were visiting to attend the 25th anniversary of the Umbria Jazz Winter Festival Most restaurants provide options for those who are gluten intolerant. Two favorite restaurants - Il Malandrino Bistrot and Antica Cantina di Orvieto. Buy the card which provides access to all of the historic sites. Well worth the 20€. Wear comfortable walking shoes!!
Perugia is a great place to base out of for travel in Umbria and Tuscany. You could spend a day or two checking out the town too and have plenty to do.
We bought an apartment in Fabro, in the historic district, across from the castle. The town is small, no restaurant but two snack bars, post office, and large grocery store. Fabro is a hilltop Umbrian, working class, "real" Italian village, not a tourist spot. It's claim to fame is an intact 12th century castle, which has been converted to apartments. Don't expect English speaking people. Learn some Italian if you want to stay awhile and communicate with anyone. There is a B&B in the castle. Fabro has great views from almost anywhere in town. At the bottom of the hill about 10 minutes from Fabro, is Fabro Scalo. A much larger town with all the amenities for shopping and dining. Fabro Scalo has a train station on the main route between Rome and Florence. Likewise, it is on the A1, the main North-South highway in Italy.
Gubbio is a beautiful ancient hill town. It is worth a visit and is generally easy to get to if in Umbria. There are numerous good restaurants and cafes. Walking the town and the hillside provides many fabulous views of the valley and special discoveries inside the City itself.
Castiglione is small old town, with a big history, on/in a big lake, on the border of Umbria and Tuscany. Beautiful landscapes; excellent wines and food, and the most warm and welcoming "real" people.
Sant'enea is small town Italy with comforts. Grocery store, pharmacy,a pizzeria, and fuel on a ridgeline, central to travelling throughout all of Umbria and Eastern Tuscany. We did 10 day trips from this one location.

The apartment was very comfortable and warm. Traveling in Italy in the winter time and staying in older buildings sometimes the heat can be wonky and unpredictable. The heating was fantastic and we were not cold at all! The apartment was adorably decorated and cozy. Washer and dryer is definitely a plus! From check-in to check-out the hosts were lovely people and very attentive. Lots of good suggestions for places to eat. We had a wonderful time staying at Casa Malichi and it was a great home base for exploring Perugia and surrounding Umbria.

Had an amazing stay in this beautiful little apartment. Highly recommended to anyone wanting an authentic Umbrian experience. Stefano’s apartment is in a beautiful part of Assisi and easy access to the center, restaurants and cafes and beautiful places to walk. Stefano was really welcoming and the breakfast was outstanding and so authentically presented. There is a small kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, sink and things to make coffee. I recommend this spot for anyone traveling to Assisi as the location really couldn't be any better.

The town of Spello is lovely and a good base for seeing other towns in Umbria. We loved being able to walk to restaurants for dinner. MOnica was a superb host- always available by text or phone if necessary. She stocked the refrigerator with everything we would need (and more) for breakfast, and cocktails. She had some extras in the apartment, too, such as Kleenex (usually not seen in Europe), a flashlight by the bed, bandaids. The terrace is beautiful and gives out good view of the area. Also, great wifi!

The hosts are the nicest people ever! They were very sweet, attentive and helpful. They paid attention to every detail in the apartment. You really felt like you were in a place that was loved and attended to. The property is beautiful, high on a hill overlooking Spello and the Umbrian valley. It is super quiet and relaxing and everything about the place makes you feel welcomed and comforted. It was a truly great stay, one of the best we have ever had!

This was our third stay at this lovely boutique hotel. Orvieto is our favorite Italian hill city, and is the perfect spot for day trips into Tuscany and other parts of Umbria. Service was delightful, at anytime there was a coffee, pot of tea, or a drink available in the lounge. Our rental car was always at the ready when we left for a drive. Hotel Duomo is tops as a boutique, comfortable, charming place to stay in the incredible city of Orvieto.

An amazing location minutes from Perugia yet tucked into the countryside. Adjacent to an architecturally significant villa, the apartments have views out to Assisi and the gorgeous Umbrian countryside. Every comfort including kitchen, spacious living area, bath with heated towel rack. Decorated with historic architectural prints, and books, a nice touch. Formal garden and even a ruin in the forest!

Very clean and big rooms, wonderful garden with outdoor swimming pool. The hotel itself is a enormous place, different salons and cosy places are to be found. The location to visit the region of Umbria is perfect. Two restaurants are at you disposal, The Melograne, the gourmet one that could not really convince us and the winebar Vecchia Fornace where we had two wonderful diners.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The property has a spectacular view and has beautiful grounds in addition to a pool with a great view of the Umbria valley. The hotel has a very good restaurant. The hotel is located by a bus stop that makes it very easy to get into Assisi. The price of our room was a pleasant surprise. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

the staff was friendly and attentive. We arrived by car during the chocolate festival. The hotel sent a warning about the traffic and furnished specific parking directions. The set-up worked beautifully. Other staff directed us to near-by restaurant with typical and tasty Umbrian specialties. there is a swimming pool in the hotel, so bring a suit!

It is a private apartment in fact, the owner (Annamaria) waited for us at the entrance with the keys. She was very friendly and also suggested us to visít the ongoing Umbria Jazz Festival which was an excellent idea. The apartment is beautiful and very convenient. Also has a nice panoráma as well.

Hotel Umbria maybe off the beaten path but we found it to be quiet and comfortable. Very clean and convent to everything. The owners are very nice. Excellent Italian breakfast every morning and also great restaurants and shopping near by.

An impeccable castle with nooks and crannies to explore, with great views from most rooms and maintained to a very high standard It is the best overall hotel package that we have found in 10 years of Umbria summers.

Luxury hotel located in a inspiring place. The tradition of the old convent was respected, despite the facility has been completely renewed. High quality SPA, very beautiful. High quality of service both for the hotel staff and the SPA staff. The restaurant, located beside the hotel (within the hotel facilities) has a wonderful view and amazing terrace. The quality of food is high standard (respecting the well-renowned Umbria's tradition). Traditional courses devised in modern way. We had a suite at the second floor with a nice view over Assisi. The room has been cleaned at least two times a day. Friendly and working-well concierge.

The hotel is beautiful. It was once a monastery/convent. The location and landscape made us feel like we were in a mountain retreat. Yet, we were only a few minutes walk from the center of Gubbio. I loved the bar lounge. Our room was nice and the bathroom was large with a great shower.
