Location excellent for travel (train or Plane) as it is a 15 Min walk from Termini Station (if you know where to go!) or 1 metro stop from Termini to Republica station and then a 3-5 min walk. The location also has a good array of local restaurants and Gelateria all within walking distance. I found the restaurants in this neighborhood pretty good and highly rated, better than in the traditional tourist spots. There are groceries nearby ( we went to a Carrefour Express) and a McDonald's that were convenient. I will come back happily the next time in Rome. Hotel staff all lovely and welcoming from owner to breakfast room. It's a hotel that is "old school" that requires you to drop off your room keys (24 hour front desk) if leaving the property but it wasn't a bother and so nice to have someone greet you even at midnight when you come in.
