Friendliness of the staff.
The location, the breakfast and the fireplace/loung area.
We stayed in this hotel two years in a row and book the same room category two times. The difference in quality between wing A and wing B is huge and the standard very different. The quality of the rooms in wing A was vastly superior and this affected the enjoyment of our stay.
We stayed here for the weekend. On Friday night, the lobby was taken over by a party and a live band playing til 23.30 which you could hear very loudly in the bedrooms. It was a local promotion event. On Saturday, the lobby and bar were taken over by a sit down dinner for numerous guests. To get from the hotel entrance to your room, you had to be escorted via a back route that avoided the party. This for over £150 per night. People staying overnight are clearly secondary to their local interests. Very poor.
Really nice feel - Foyer is very modern but rooms are traditional. Lovely and warm. Bathroom was excellent - huge bath in room 201. Great Location right out of the door into a main st and 5 mins from the Arena. Restaurant in the evening may look like a breakfast room but the food was incredible!! Worth staying home for.
Lift is a bit small!
breakfast too expensive
Stylish hotel, with warm nice atmosphere, rich breakfast, very centrally located. I come back here definitely!
Unfortunately maintenance work next door so early morning noise from workmen. Otherwise excellent.
Priceybut worth it.
The hotel had a charm to it, with lovely decour. The rooms were spacious with a very comfortable bed. You can walk to most sites (arena, castle) in 5 mins. The restaurant food was amazing, we booked a table for our first night after a long journey and it was a nice suprise.
the beds. . so comfortable! the shower with its sit down option the tv. . nice frame and programmes you can actually watch the bottle of water left by the bed the balcony and church bells contrast between chic public and luxe personal areas
Very good breakfast, nice reception area.
Very bad restoration, no taste in decoration of the rooms, very cheap metarials like plastic windows etc..
Price was a little high
Everything was great. Staff very pleasant and helpful. We had a great experience. Very happy customer.
Location is great
Rooms are a bit dated and small
The location is very convenient and the hotel is beautiful. The breakfast was very good.
The music in the bar seemed a bit incongruous on a weeknight when there was an older clientele. The loud techno seemed a strange choice. Also, the building works next door were quite noisy but obviously not the hotels fault.
Very stylish blend of old with modern. Bathrooms were beautiful.
We did realize breakfast was not included. We weren't told although it was at the bottom of the booking agreement. Having stayed in 100s of hotels in Italy including this hotel we assumed breakfast was included. It was not. Checkout surprise was that breakfast was 30 euros each. It was a little slick in my view for what is/was a class place.
Location Staff Breakfast
Smell in the bathroom Room was dark... Nothing to write to your mom but still ;)
Service Location Beautiful Facility
We had a junior suite which included a spa bath. The problem was, the 'tap end' of the bath was enclosed in a recess, which meant the glass shower screen was fixed. Combined with the fact that the opposite end of the bath was sloped, the bath was higher than a standard bath to allow for plumbing, and there was a high ridge along the rim of the bath, you needed to be a gymnast to get in. The shower was over the bath, and you couldn't even turn on the bath taps without climbing in. Totally impractical design. Also extremely dim lighting in the bathroom.
We had to go home
Everything was great!
Matha at the reception helped to convert my Junior Suite (total a disappointmnet) into a better room in a different building, with patience. That made my stay enjoyable. Restaurant food is very nice.
The junior suite is strongly not recommended. It's old and very small and it smells.
Our DELUXE room was fairly small and very dark (Room 145). The so called spacious bathroom was extremely small. What are the standard rooms like?
