My love for nature prompted me to study Biology sciences at the university in the hope of working in any nature protection sector. Indeed, I had that in 2009, when I was accepted to work as ecologist in the Dana Reserve, which is managed by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature. I spent six years working in that job, after which I moved to work for an environmental consulting company. I thought of taking advantage of my experience to entertain tourists and show them Dana as a nature reserve and not just as a place for picnics, and accordingly, I prepared the guest house to be a starting point for tours with an environmental character as much as possible. This is the only building of the original houses in the heritage village overlooking the picturesque valley in the Dana Reserve. It consists of three reconstructed hotel rooms with a modern design that guarantees privacy and tranquility for the visitor. There is a separate bathroom in each room, and simple furniture keeping with the traditional village style. The rooms have stone walls, with an interior skylight, and a kitchenette for making tea and coffee, and there is a food court on site. The place is very suitable for meditation, drawing enthusiasts, and even bird watchers, and from here you can enjoy the magical sunset in the Dana Reserve. The lodge is located in the village of Dana in the Dana Biosphere Reserve, which is considered one of the most important natural reserves in the Middle East, due to its huge diversity of species and habitats. This is what will surprise the visitor to the reserve, as he will find natural forests in the middle of dry and desert areas. There are four biogeographic zones in the middle east as a whole, three of them is presence in the reserve while the fourth one is presence to the western boundary of it, that is a result of the various elevation which start with 100m below sea level in the western valleys of the reserve up to 1600m above sea level in the eastern mountains. In Dana Reserve records of many threatened species, like the Striped Hyena, Grey Arabian wolf, Blandford fox, Nubian Ibex, Syrian serin, Griffon Vulture....and other, and if we want to talk in general we could say that it has more than 800 plant species, 38 mammalian species, more than 200 species of birds, and 54 species of reptiles.
