The area has changed drastically over the years. Four years ago it was not a place to visit, but it is slowly improving. There is still a little seedy element/edge to it - but the roads are improving and there are some decent resorts - which if you are in need of the sea, it can fit the bill and with the new highway from Phnom Penh, you can get there in under 3 hours.MichelleCambodia - 2.0Scored 2.0

We enjoyed the trip to Koh Rong, specially Long Beach and Prei Kong Kang. We don’t like those taxi men at Koh Rong, they were so aggressive attacking and pressured visitors. I wished they should have better attitude to make visitors feel more comfortable. Even though, I speak Cambodian fluently to them not to intimidate me. Good to be at Sihanouville. Nice white sand and you can always enjoy local foods and meet friendly people. You may like to take the motorbike or bicycle ride or walk along the beaches. It is quite relaxing nice beach. You can enjoy the free-provided fresh water from the Governor of this province almost everywhere along the beach. Nice job to the government of Cambodia to think of such impact and nice wash rooms.

Their exceptional quality of service and facilities are comparable to other 4 to 5-star hotels, even though their rooms are starting to show their age. A little facelift could help catch up with the newer hotels nearby. We enjoyed the pool and private beach the most. The staff is always accommodating to our needs. Now that more shopping and food places has been built around the resort, this makes it more walkable to explore the surrounding areas for local foods etc.

It is still a work in progress but the staff seem to be doing their best— especially the manager, a Filipino named Paulo. The birthday cake delivered to the room was a particularly nice touch. Breakfast in the morning is a cornucopian feast. Be sure to say hi to Mr Voon in the restaurant. The view from the Oceanview King Studio is spectacular. We had our dog with us, so this hotel is very accommodating and that was great for us. It is a sweet little hotel that faces the ocean. The beach area for the hotel is small and just across the clean, big new street. It is in a quiet area 20 minutes south of Sihanoukville. The restaurant is also great and allowed us to bring our dog. The rooms are quiet and had great AC. Would come again when traveling with our dog, or without.

I stayed there just for one night before going to koh rong sonloem and the owner let me leave my luggage there until I came back (8 days later) she’s THE NICEST, very helpful, offered me a soft drink on the house, and helped me booking my boat and bus to PP!
