After a day at the temples, Sonalong bv&r is a small oasis of calm. Lovely lush courtyard around which are the guest a rooms are arranged. All rooms have a big balcony which was heaven to relax on. Rooms are simple, but clean cool. Pool and bar are great too

At the price, no fault at all. Street outside is a bit dark at night, and just a little far to walk from old market. Tuk Tuk is 2 dollars!

After a long day of visiting amazing Angkor Wat temples you need a place to hide away from tourist crowds and this hotel is the perfect place. Hotel is very green and tranquil, giving you relaxing time in the pool area. Hotel is a village style type with several two story buildings. Rooms are spacious, equipped with dual climate system -- conditioner and a ceiling fan, together they give such a chilling air, that you start freezing at some point. All rooms have balconies. Restaurant serves decent quality food, but it is overpriced. Breakfast -- they don't have buffet, but this is really plus -- you can order as much as you can eat from the breakfast menu and variety is really great. It is located 10 minutes walk from night market or 3 minutes by tuktuk.

-- No promised pick up from the airport, unless you agree to use their tour services. -- In-house restaurant/cafeteria is overpriced

Great staff who were all friendly and helpful. Clean, cool, large rooms with ample shower/bathroom. Helpful with booking coach to Phnom Penh and organising driver for Angkor Wat visit. Great value restaurant. Near to tourist area but far enough away to be quiet. Very relaxing.

In June 2014 I stayed 4 days in the "village". My personal favorites were: the veranda, the improvised botanic garden, the pool, the fairly large and clean rooms designed in traditional style, the friendly and caring staff, the quite location, the proximity to the downtown, the quality and inexpensive laundry service. I personally liked the "Village" concept and the authentic ambience.

In a few occasions the Internet slowed down, there was no room service or minibar menus in the rooms, implementation of comment cards would be beneficial.

Loved this hotel. Really warm welcome from the staff after a long trip, gorgeous pool area and gardens, great for relaxing in after an early start to get to Angkor Wat for sunrise. Yummy food round the pool and a short walk to the bars and restaurants around Pub Street. We were on honeymoon and the staff had decorated our bed with petals on arrival

The best hotel in Siem Reap in our opinion! The hotel is really beautiful, the breakfast was very good, the pool was very nice and relaxing! The room was spacious and the hotel had nice new and modern facilities. The manager of the hotel is a really nice guy! He pretty much helped us plan our whole trip in Cambodia. We definitely recommend this hotel to stay at!

Extremely welcoming and so helpful for any of our requests. Also booked extra flights for us. Staff were very funny and had fun with them teaching them more English pronunciations. Breakfast was delightful.

Sufficiently far from the old market and Pub Street to be quiet and secluded, yet minutes away by Tuk Tuk or bicycle from the river and entertainment. Gardens gave a nice atmosphere and staff were helpful.

Very friendly staff, breakfast a la carte, nice garden area and pool, pleasant tuk tuk driver from the hotel, were able to store our luggage and relax at pool area after checking out

No 4-star standard, old furniture, relatively expensive for what you get, wifi connection broke down completely on third day

The lovely gardens, cocktails by the pool after a hot day visiting the temples, breakfast by the pool, rooms opening onto the gardens and the charming and helpful staff.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

Very friendly staff. The small scale and personal approach. Very beautiful and quiet garden. Fine breakfast. Nice getaway from noisy pubstreet, but only 10 minute walk. Take a tuctuc back.

A little outdated, but kept very clean, so t didn't bother us.

The setting was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very quiet and relaxing. It was good value for the money.

the shower water spilled out onto the bathroom floor. There was no light on the porch that could be left on when you went out at night, so it was dark on the porch when returning at night.

very good location, 7 min to the Pub Street; good place to relax by the small but clean swimming pool after morning exploration, surrounded by trees and shrubs on nice garden, close to center but no noise. Simple breakfast a-la-carte. Can of Angkor beer at the pool for $1 :)
