great location. Very spoilt they arranged our airport transfers and gave us a free foot massage and cocktails.
One of the closest hotels to Angkor Wat. Very nice hotel and really good value.
Pool was under annual maintenance so had to use the pool at the Sofitel.
Great hotel!! Have many selection of breakfast buffet and comfort bed!! Friendly staff
Location is bit far from old market.
Nothing to dislike about this hotel. Staff, service, rooms, breakfast all great. The pool in such hot weather was a real bonus.
Great food options, obliging staff
The hotel was very nice. Colonial atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Excellent value thru Booking.com, which I consider the most important aspect, accepting the fact that I am staying an excellent class of hotel. Very close to everything.
I wouldn't say this is a dislike. The hotel was close to everything, but not smack in the middle of any one thing. Again, just an observation not a dislike. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
- very friendly staff
- no cheese at breakfast
The breakfast buffet is really diverse and the quality of the food and drinks is excellent. The swimming pool area is comfortable away from the noise of the busy streets of Siem Reap. The staff at the restaurant is very friendly and willing to help you at anytime.
When we got the room we wanted to use the toilet but unfortunately it was dirty underneath with brown and dark spots, the cleaning staff forgot to clean the wc properly. The check-in process takes really long, it took us around 25 minutes to check in. The swimming pool area is nice but there are not enough chairs for all the guests who want to spend their free time there. The rental bikes they offer seem to be 10 years old and therefore it is very difficult to use them.
Great breakfast buffet Nice pool Friendly staff Well located, no in the middle of downtown Near to the museum Plenty of transportation
Wi fi didn't work at my room My room was in the way to the pool, so always.has noise outside No very good isolation from outside
The staff and the breakfast are wonderfull
The hotel wasn't in the center of tourist are, so we need to walk 15-20m to the center or take a tuk-tuk ride (3-4m)
Staff were very helpful and friendly, location was great for visiting angkor, room was excellent and very clean, wasn't noisy at all even though we had a corner room on the lobby side nearest to the road. Our room (131) had a seperate dining/lounge area which the pool view rooms seemed to lack therefore I would recommend booking this room or another corner room like it. The food was also excelent with a variety of western and eastern meals to choose from.
The lemon grass parfume, the swimming pool, the gym, the sauna, the room, the location, the city, and the helpful staff.
Staff has to be more efficient as far as pc facilities in the lobby. They don t Know how their apple computers work !!! And they don t even Know how to print !!
There wasn't one thing I would change about the Tara Angkor hotel - an excellent stay!
Nice pool, clean hotel
Uncomfortable bed and pillows
breakfast is diverse enough, hotel is clean, pool is big (the ppl here Who said it's a small one have not actually checked it out), complimentary fruits at arrival and departure
service is not very good, the reception is a bit hectic, and if you need to book anything you have to be prepared to wait
Service Location Breakfast Interiors
location was in between town and the temples so only a $2 tuk tuk ride into town and you can borrow bicycles from the hotel to ride out to the temples (just make sure you book in advance and you go early in the morning before it gets too hot!!) amazing staff, beautiful, clean fresh new hotel and really nicely appointed rooms. awesome brekkie.
the pool is a little small but i never saw anyway have to leave because there were no pool chairs. the staff did forget to refill the mini bar a few times but minor stuff. such a great spot.
Staff, room, gym, food all very very good. Breakfast has a huge choice and the hotel is very clean. The location is great for everything only a short walk into town and close to temples. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
If I was to be picky? Would have preferred a larger pool that you could swim in.
We loved staying at this hotel. We found the staff very helpful and polite and the facilities were good. The hotel is very well placed for the temples and a very enjoyable tuk tuk ride into Siem Reap town. A great place to stay!
I loved the reception area & how they greet you with a nice wet towel & amazing cold cup of the best lemon-grass tea! The staff was very helpful & attentive. Room service is pretty quick & the food tasted really good. It was overall a nice luxurious touch to my weekend trip of exploring temples!
The currency exchange rate is a bit too much. The travel desk service was the worst, I asked for flight to book & the employee told me that all flights were fully booked, when I looked it up on my phone & showed her that all the flights are available she still told me they were no seats available. I had to leave the hotel to look for a travel agent who found the exact seat I found on my phone.
Staff were polite and accommodating.
The quality of food served in the restaurant could have been better.
We had a really great deal, 45$pn; I guess partly due to low season in June. A very warm welcoming as soon as we walked through the door. Very tentative staff and helpful. The place is only 2$ tuktuk ride to the night market area and also close to market on "Road 60". Nice breakfast and facility overall. Would definitely go back to this hotel.
Can't think of any right now.
The food was good, staff were very polite and helpful, room was clean and spacious. The location was certainly convenient for Angkor Wat and the hotel was peaceful. I had no problem with the Wi-Fi and we found the tuk-tuk service to be just what we wanted and his rates were the same as the night market area. He was a good driver and very helpful; his name- Mr. Million!
This is my third stay at Tara Angkor and I must say that there are very few things that I do not like. The only thing that could be changed would be some nice smelling flowers in the rooms. There was a faint musty smell. But then I have a very strong sense of smell.
excellent hotel, we had a wonderful experience.
