Built in 1920, Yacoub Hotel is located in the heart of old Saida. It is steps away from the old souk and the coastal road. Beirut International Airport is 45 minutes by car.

Location, authentic old architecture and friendly staff. They gave me a triple room upgrade but the hotel was empty anyway. The weather didn't help but in normal conditions the seaside walk is an attractive one across the road. The bathroom is basic but clean. The Lebanese problem with infrastructure is well known so electricity is unreliable.
Expensive for what it is. The included breakfast was a very simple one (and I know about proper Arabic breakfasts) in a basic cafe next door. The wifi doesn't really work in the room I was given. As I checked out I was told they wanted cash payment and I refused to draw cash on my credit card so we agreed I would arrange a Western Union transfer on my return home.
Not clear nothing working smilly and dirty
Good location, on the sea front and directly opposite the crusader castle. Very nice old building.
The staff were not very helpful, particularly the night staff. Nothing worked. The tv had no reception, the 'heater' (it was winter) chucked out cold air and the lift even broke down. Very expensive $100 per night in low season! Unfortunately there is very little choice of hotels in Sidon.
This place has character and an excellent location. It is a bit pricy, therefore I only booked for 1 night. Don't expect the latest and greatest - it's all about the character and view.
Service is so bad. cleaners not cleaning well.
