The room was spacious and bright. Private bathroom was also very accessible and clean. At night the area is very quiet and nothing disturbed during the night. Downtown is not too far away (10 minutes walk) and the hotel is located very close to a nice park and a little further away a channel of water that can be walked by. The early checki-in, late check out, sauna and gym area were welcome opportunities. The hotel is relatively close to the Riga Opera (5 minutes walking) and Bus/Train station (10/15 minutes walking I believe). The airport is about 20/30 minutes away by taxi. I had to call the hotel for information about a possible taxi pick up from the airport (I asked about it before over booking.com but I got no reply till that day) and she took care very professionally. More in general the reception personnel was very welcoming and helpful when asked for information or most basic inquiries regarding the hotel.

Riga is an interesting city to visit. If you like to drink their are some great bars. If you like culture and history, it is jammed with museums and monuments. The only down side is it can get quite expensive. Restaurants are not afraid to charge unless you eat at Lido.

Shoppingsmalls still need to become updated. Only 1 out of 5 was okay.
We stayed for 1 week and it was way too long!!!!

Commercial attractions there have too often no character.
Pleasant Architecture that rates well among other touristic east European countries... without being overcrowded (still).
Easy and safe.

Loved the Old Town, markets and the Canal.
Loved the Old Town, markets and the Canal. Well worth taking a boat trip onto the river and through the canal. Take the #11 Tram out to the parklands and Zoo; a lovely day out. (It was too cold to swim but the lake would be beautiful in summer).

I actually only came for a football match.
I actually only came for a football match. The city is pretty boring in comparison to other bigger European cities. Also the coldness of the local people is really not welcoming at all.
The max duration for Rīga should be 3 days.

The location is excellent, very close to the old town but not right within, so going to the city center and the parks is also just a 5 minute walk. Bus and train station were also basically around the corner.
Ramune is an excellent host, very communicative and eager to help. Small details in the rooms, like a chocolate bar hanging at the door before checkout, show that she really cares. Amenities also just as described (like a big and good hair dryer instead of the cheap, generic ones at a regular hotel).
Highly recommend. Great location - right in Old Town, 10 min walk from the Amazing Riga Central Market (don't miss it) and bus station. Despite being central, accommodation is very, very quiet. There were a couple minor maintenance issues that the hosts responded to very well (I see this as a positive; respond well to issues.) Room is comfy with mini fridge, desk, comfy beds, soap/shampoo/conditioner in shower. Good value for money. It is a conciergeless hotel but feels welcoming.
Great location near the river Daugava and Old Town and everywhere you can walk. Near hotel there are public transport station (Bus Nr.22 goes to Airport).
Good SPA (for Riga center).
Great breakfast.
I had room with view to river and street, but it was pretty good quiet...you can little bit hear street noise, but only motorcycles and cars with bad exhausts. ;)
Location is very good if you want to hang around in the old town and central part of Riga! If you come by car, indoor Europark is right next door with reasonable pricing (and cheaper that some other hotels offer in their own parking lots). Although I had the window towards the street, it was unbelievably quiet. Room had toiletries, good shower etc.
Perfect location in the center of Old Town of Riga, with walking distance to lots of city attractions. Cozy and charming hotel with friendly staff and good breakfast. Easy arrangement for late check out.
