I particularly loved Stari Bar, the Old Town and the Fortress.
Some neat was amazing.
Travelled in May, so off peak. I would not enjoy in peak as there would be too many people for my likes. Lots of places to eat on waterfront.

Quiet town with amazing seaside bulevard, usually full with people but not that crowded.
Bar's location is optimal along the adriatic coast of Montenegro, which makes it an ideal town to stay for those who are planning to roam around other coast destinations, bith north and south alike.

The location is very good.
The location is very good. Sea is 800 m away, central square 400 m, bus station 300 m, railway station 400 m. The apartment was clean and tidy with everything you need, comfortable bed and mattress, air conditioner. The hosts offer free beach umbrellas and blankets for sleeping on the beach. The apartment has internet, there is a smart box with which you can connect your smart devices to the big TV screen.
Unfortunately, the hosts have also had negative experiences , so a security deposit was required before arrival, which was then returned to us.

Bar is an interesting city, not only a touristic, but also a harbour one. You can meet some exotic people here, and some exotic wares at shops' shelves. Most of the city is composed of private houses, therefore it sprawls quite wide, 10+ km along the coast line. But it is long and thin, so to say, and you can always reach sea quickly.

We had the opportunity to visit few cicties on the seaside like Sutomore, Budva or Ulcinj but Bar seems to be quite calm and not crowded place. Additional Bar has it's railway connection with capitol city and aeroport what gives a better possibility to arrive there.

Bar is second largest town in Crna Gora.
Bar is second largest town in Crna Gora. With opportunity for major
redevelopment over recent decades, the centre has been well planned
with an eye to "green" environment. The same may not be said of the
suburbs where there is pressure to intensify building.
The railway and bus stations are on the edge of town - the railway
forming a boundary crossed by bridges to the suburbs beyond. The
docks and port are well separated from the town centre. Some local
public transport exists but seems fairly sparse - fares are cheap.
This is a human-scale town for which a mental map could be easily
developed within a few days.
The hotel is located in a suburban place, you can have a rest from the city chaos . Meanwhile the city Bar and Budva are not far for sightseeing, you can get them by taxi. The grocery is in a walking distance, but the surrounding isn’t nice. The hotel is new, everything is nice, beds are comfortable, sea view, stunning sunsets at the balcony. Quiet hotel at the edge of the rocks what makes the stay there quite an unusual experience but for sure worth staying there. Don’t forget goggles , you can admire the sea wildlife
We absolutely loved our time in Montenegro and at Villa Jupok. The hosts were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and were having a good time. The room room was perfect for our needs and in a nice quiet area of town. The hosts were great about allowing us to park our vehicle. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!
Absolutely lovely and perfect place in Bar.
The apartment was super clean, with modern and new interior and nice sea view.
Ivana the host gave us a warm welcome and even supplied us with some eggs and coffee for the breakfast.
One of the nicest accomodations on our Montenegro trip and will definitely come back.
Thank you for the nice experience Ivana!
Interesting little place right next to the beach. We travelled there in off-season, so practically had the whole place to ourselves (literally, we were the only guests in the entire hotel). They have a nice restaurant with quality food as well. If you are looking for a place to stay in Bar right next to the beach, look no further!
We had a car trip around Montenegro. Stayed in 4 cities: Budva, Bar, Kotor, Tivat. The town of Bar is a true European resort town with a wide promenade right in front of the hotel. The room was quiet, the sea can be seen from the balcony on the floor. The room was excellent, the breakfast is excellent . Free parking nearby
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel recently, and the room was not only cozy, clean and spacious, but also had easy-to-use disposal facilities.
You have two parking options, both of them private and safe. Great Internet speed. Staff is very kind and helpful, I will come back again for sure.
- All the facilities are brand new
- Comfortable beds
- There are many toilets and showers
- Very good location, close to the bus and train station
- Sociable atmosphere, you meet other travelers
- Very helpful and knowledgeable owner.
This is definitely the best option in Bar. I’ll return!
Spacious apartment in centre of Bar, in very vicinity of shops, bars, beach. Fully equipped, great bar between kitchen and dining area. Quiet location, ideal to both solo and family travellers. Owner Damir is one of the kind, hospitable and ready to assist for anything.
Fully recommended!
Loved our stay at this modern, stylish hotel right in central Bar. We admired everything that this hotel has to offer, it is made so well with the modern traveller in mind. The staff were so professional and lovely. Thank you for everything, 100% recommend a stay!
Very nice property and wonderful view from 11th stage balcony!
Wonderful supermarket is just beside the property.
Certain beaches are very closed to the property (most beaches in Bar are stoned and protective swimming shoes are necessary).
Full satisfaction,
Very nice and open owners. They told me about many interesting places to see in Montenegro. Everything in hostel is brand new and clean. In garden many trees with tasty fruits. The best figs in Montenegro :) Close to the hostel is shop and small backery.
It was amazing celebration of New Year eve with Lepa Brena. It was big concerts every night. In front of the hotel is one of the nicest churches. I had sea view from my terrace. Breakfast is good. Staff is friendly. Summer period must to be amazing.
Everything. We got what we booked. The hosts were amazing, super kind and were ready to help everytime. The terrace with the breathtaking view. The size of the room. The kitchenette. We will definitely come back when we visit Montenegro again.
Beautiful location, view and customer service. Facilities were also new and clean. Someone has been subsidizing this part of Bar.
Not that I care that much but they did let me know before hand that their restaurant is halal and 0 alcohol.
Everything was perfect. Stunning view, good location, friendly neighborhood, with car you are in city center in a minute. If you want dream apartment with nice view on the harbor, City and sea, this is the one.
Great location in the center of an old town. Beautiful view. It`s ok, but please remamber your are in Montenegro eg. you can wait for a coffee for an hour . That`s normal even in a 5 star hotel :)
The owner was very nice and responsive, she told me about a good restaurant nearby, Barka. A market is only a 1/2 a block away and she lent me an electric kettle to use.
Best crew you can meet at Montenegro. The owner of the place helped us with everything, served delicious coffee and was all about our comfort. Fully recommend!!
