Small city with lack of healthy food variety in restaurants, and too much night life noise at night at the beach. The main drag is mostly clean, but the beach isn't, and walking through back alley's are also very disappointing - heavily littered by trash (plastic, broken glass, broken furniture, feces, and food). If you don't mind walking up and down the hilly landscape to apartments and hotels multiple times a day in 40 C, then you can find a quiet, clean place away from the beach to relax.Guest review byBarnes - 8.0

If you are interested in the beaches, the Long beach is just great, regardless if you pay for the sunbeds or use an empty space inbetween. You need a car if you are not close to the beaches. I don't recommend swimming in the sea in the old town. Valdanos is not maintained, Limani 1, 2 - so so. I recommed a boat tour - 40E, and visiting the Old Town castle (worth of visiting once during a stay). For a four-member family, you'll need about between 50 and 100E a day. Ulcinj has a beautiful long sandy beach with bunch of beach bars. The sea level is not too deep so you will need to go far from the shore to be able to swim. It is good for children learning how to swim. Ulcinj is special about its 2500 years old town which has narrow stoned streets and beautiful sea view. The food is okay, standard sea food with traditional Balkan cuisine. During the season, the town is crowded and it is a bit difficult to get around by car, but that is your only option.Guest review byFaruk - 8.0

Nice little town, easy to walk in from our hotel so didn’t use car which nice change. Tried all different restaurants at seafront and away from seafront cheaper. Ulcinj is a bit further south of the coast and I'm so glad that we decided to stay there! It's still a little bit unexplored by the tourists so it felt like we were getting the local experience which was amazing. Ulcinj as a town doesn’t offer much.
Ulcinj as a town doesn’t offer much. The “center” is quite chaotic, and there’s really not much to see except for a bunch of cafés and hotels crowded together. The outskirts of the town can be frustrating, as there are no proper sidewalks or infrastructure that would suit someone with a stroller trying to explore. The Old Town is truly beautiful, but unfortunately, it remains overshadowed by the overall impression of the city.Guest review byVaskoGermany

The stay is located in the old town, which in Ulcinj is not the main area to explore, so it is very quiet.
