Really is just over the road from an excellent beach. Fully equipped kitchen for the small amount of cooking I did (the apartment is surrounded by some excellent restaurants). The balcony was great for an end of night drink and for drying everything from a day in the sea. Lift/elevator for the lazy (me) as this is 4th floor. Great communication too lead to easy meet up/key handover.

Love the area, great restaurants (Wagu was our favourite). Theres so much to see and do without the hustle of tourists. Took a 10 min taxi to Golden Bay beach for a hike, you are pretty central to everything. Lovely shops and definitely take a stroll to Sea View Cafe, stunning views with good food and a happy hour.

It’s a quiet town with a reasonable amount of pubs and restaurants. It’s a good base to stay but we went to different places each day. There isn’t enough to keep you busy for a full week if you like to do things on holidays.

We went in the off season (mid April) so the area was quiet and it was easy to get a restaurant, although on the other hand many restaurants were very dead with only 1 or 2 groups inside. The weather was good although very windy, good enough to sit on the beach but not sunbathe or swim. The town was very pretty, it's nice to take a walk up the hill and see the views and older buildings.
We would recommend Blu Club, Amami, and the mellieha heights area at the top of the hill.

Mellieha is a beautiful calm and small town which makes it perfect if you want to avoid crowded cities with a lot of traffic and mass tourism. Climb up the hill and you'll have a fantastic sight onto the bay nearby. the upper town has also beautiful narrow streets and typical houses to see. Not that easy to travel in Malta in general, due to some public transport issues. If I went again, I would avoid long displacements across the island, I would just visit the places nearby. If you are in the northern part and want to have a dayout to the southern Malta, it make take you 4-5 hours go/back with public transport. To avoid the stress and the frustration, stay and visit the places nearby. It's a good excuse to go again and visit the places you missed before!!

Labrsnda Hotel is outside of Mellieha Bay, very vl9se to the ferry port to Gozo; and there are no restaurants or bars nearby. So full board is recommended unless you get a bus, vtaxi or walk to Mellieha Bay which is bustling and it has a lovely sandy beach.
Please note that now on HB, no drinks are included. They were in 2023: local beer, wine and water. We stayed in March 2023 on HB and booked again for March 24; but were not informed of these changes until the first night at dinner when we received a drinks bill.
The green room compensation scheme has also changed: no 'free' ocktails per day per room. Seems to have been a change over "free" alcohol options (although you could've opted for a mocktail previously.)
Drinks are now only available on fully inclusive. However, at the time if booking for us via booking. Com , no all incl was available; neither were we offered an upgrade at reception upon checking in; nor a change in their HB services. So, a cautionary note when booking.

Mellieha is a small town with not a lot to do or see except the supurb WW2 tunnels used as air raid shelters. Also a couple of churches. The Christmas market was on in the square when we were there, which was interesting.
The bus network is fabulous and it is easy to get to anywhere on the island or to the ferry port for Gozo. I recomment the Talinja card for discounted travel.
This is one of my best stays ever. Stuff is very helpful and friendly. I had an issue with bathroom in my room and the manager provided me another room which was even bigger right away! She definitely knows her job very well. If I ever stay in that part of Malta again I would definitely choose this apart hotel. I am delighted and can recommend this place to everyone.
Bed was very comfortable, view from my room was incredible. Nice furniture and everything is new. There is kitchen and washing+drying machine. Best experience ever.
The hotel is in a great location, with our room overlooking Mellieħa’s beautiful church, Għadira/Mellieħa Bay, as well as the neighbouring islands of Comino and Gozo. Close to local restaurants, amenities, attractions (the WW2 shelters are a must visit!) and close to public transport links.
The staff are friendly and helpful, the inside and outside areas are kept clean and well presented.
Two small(ish) outside pools, one small indoor pool and Spa area with sauna.
Enough sun beds for everyone :)
The apartment is spacious and clean. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. If you want to explore Malta by bus, the bus stop is 5 minutes on foot from the apartment. There was a moka pot in the kitchen so we were able to enjoy coffee on the balcony in the morning, with a view over the Gozo island. Wifi and a washing machine were available and a lot of kitchen appliances were found in the apartment. An A/C machine is installed in the double-bed room but it's working only with coins.
This hotel is really unusual in the way it is built into the side of a seven story urban hillside. It is warren of stairways lifts and corridors. It keeps you on your toes and offers lots of new hidden discoveries like the infinity pool, the cave bar and the spa. The staff especially the housekeeping staff were all super friendly and polite which makes a real difference when you are travelling alone. Thank you. My room rate represented great value also.
I had a great time at Labranda Riviera. Staff was very helpful and lovely. Both breakfast and dinner were amazing.
The hotel is quite far from everything, but it's very close to ferries from Cerkiwwa to Gozo, and the bus stop is a 3-minute walk from the hotel, and it runs very often. It will take to a few places in Malta.
Even though the hotel is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, you won't be bored.
A very nice, clean, and comfy apartment. It has all the equipment to feel like home while in Malta. The hosts & staff are super-nice, kind, and easy to communicate with. Also, Mellieħa and the apartment's location inside Mellieħa is top choice — we wouldn't want to be anywhere else and you can easily reach the rest of Malta and Gozo from there, without having to deal with the madness of the capital city.
This property was absolutely amazing and I recommend to anyone traveling to Malta. The property sit in direct view of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and is within walking distance of the beach. The property was clean, spacious, safe, and my family felt right at home. The owner Joe and the host Chris were great, friendly and it was easy to communicate with them when we had questions or concerns.
Location is great! One of the best beaches in Malta is just in front of the hotel. We booked the hotel especially due to this beach and did not regret on our choice.
One minus of the location is a camping close to the hotel, and, if your room does not have a seaview, then you will have quite noisy neighbours from the camp.
The breakfasts were good with a vast variety of food.
The hotel is so classy. beautiful decorated. the indoor pool and steam room are a must especially winter time. we had a great stay, all the staff we meet were adorable friendly. 100% recommend this place. as well if you are wondering where to Stay when in Malta I totally recommend Melliehna. We stayed in 3 different villages but preferred Mellieha
Solana is usually our go to hotel when we visit Malta and we’re never disappointed! For this price point is absolutely exceeds expectations, very neat rooms, great rooftop pool with bar (that also has a happy hour!) the pool downstairs is also super nice for if you like a late night swim. We’re always very well taken care of.
Great location with an excellent sea view. Different restaurants are available at the hotel but the main restaurant itself has a variety of food to choose from its buffet menu. My son had the time of his life while using both the indoor and outdoor pools.
Great location and price! Beautiful view from the room and lovely breakfast. Staff very friendly. Plenty of free parking around the hotel, definitely recommend hiring a car if staying in this area of Malta
The boutique hotel was wonderful, the staff were friendly and attentive, the room was stylish with amply space and the restaurant served gourmet food. It was the perfect stay from start to finish.
This hotel is the definition of value for money. Great location with fantastic view. Tasty breakfast with lots of options and an always-happy personnel that answered to all of our questions.
