Everything, the staff is amazing and Suhaila makes it perfect with her smile and laugh!

I really wish we would stayed longer.
I really wish we would stayed longer. It is a paradise island. Clear and clean water, good sandy beach. Marine life is amazing and as for the snorkelling, I think it was one of the best I have ever had

We fell in love with the Perhentians.
We fell in love with the Perhentians. It was far better than we imagined. Long Beach was quiet during the day but had an atmosphere at night. Locals were friendly and welcoming. Fantastic snorkelling.

Perhentian Islands have beautiful beaches with rocky out...
Perhentian Islands have beautiful beaches with rocky out crops secluded bays and great snorkling. Super relaxed atmosphere, lots of yummy places to eat and drink and very friendly people. If you haven't got the energy to hike over the enormous hills to the other side of the Island you can always find a water taxi close by which are pretty cheap.
Probably would try and avoid the Islands in June and July if you don't like crowds and also try and avoid the little jelly fish that are around certain times of the year which can make you super itchy!!!

Perhentian is truly one of the best island here.
Perhentian is truly one of the best island here. Its not luxe but it is a gem.
The water is beautiful and the sea life is abundant. You can see hundred of fishes just from the jetty alone. Diving is great but take into account the weather.
Food takes a lot longer as its just the island way so you'll need to account for that if you're planning your meal.
Respect the culture and ppl and they will do the same. The cheap accommodation options are reflective of the price you pay.

Thin walls, could hear the neighbours.
Thin walls, could hear the neighbours. Make sure you specify the view you want. The view from my cabin was onto the back of the main restaurant/admin building. The restaurant food was very good and the staff efficient.

It is an amazing place!
It is an amazing place! The water is beautiful and there are lot’s of great beaches on both islands. You most try snorkeling in some areas. You can rent mask and snorkle everywhere on the islands, and even go for a boat tour that takes you to the best spots. You can also hire a taxi boat to go to any beaches, or travel between the 2 main islands in 10-15 rides.
We saw some poeple bring their own alcohol and water on the island, as it is always cheaper to bring your own. Sun block protection is very expensive on the island. Bring your own!

The owner and stuff is helpfull. Even they guesthouse didn’t have reception, they will come when you call them. They will help you for the snorkelling and boat services.for us The guesthouse is normal because its a guesthouse not Hotel.we can feel the village environment. The mini mart, food court and the beach is 3/4 minute walk. We don’t expect much because location is in the village so it was beautiful experience for us. If you looking for perfect place such as nice hotel/resort this is not the place for you.
The hotel is basically on the beach, so it's perfect for those who like sunbathing and swimming. Also, it's on a very quiet beach, so there was no noisy music at night. The food at their restaurant was amazing! (Especially their fruit shakes and dishes with sea food). Breakfast also had quite a few options to choose from. Last but not least, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They even arranged our transfer to the airport.
Private beach. The jetty from K. besut drops you right there (get on the ship with flip flops, not sneakers!!). Nice staff. It has their own diving centre and they also lend the snorkeling material for you to use it for free (you only give a deposit fee and they return it when you bring back the equipment). They cleaned the room everyday (not usual in other hotels) and restocked water and coffee.
The location is on the top part of long beach just in front of the water. Next to cafés, stores, a bar (loud at night), water taxis and diving/snorkel centers.
The 3 upstairs room have incredible views of the beach and jungle shore.
Staff was nice, amenities were good for the standard of the islands.
Considering other places for similar price, OceanBoys Inn is a fair stay.
Good customer services, caring & welcoming (Kak Ila & Ayah Hassan). Live like local, explore local people lifestyle, culture, etc. Easy to access to everywhere at Perhentian Islands (Both Lesser Perhentian & Greater Perhentian). Delicious local food such as nasi dagang, nasi kerabu, keropok lekor, etc. Clean, comfortable & value for money accommodation.
The location was just perfect. The room was clean. The beach was just in front of the hotel/resort. The owner, Kak Suhaila was very very very nice and super helpful. Would definitely come to Suhaila Palace again and again. I missed Kak Suhaila & Perhentian Island already! Thank you Kak Suhaila for the great hospitality throughout our 4D3N stay there!
Truly the only thing we liked about this hotel was the location. Yes, there were a lot of steps to climb, but that meant that it was a little further away from the beach. where the parties went on till the early hours.
The location was also great because it was close to Spice Divers, an amazing diving centre where we spent several enjoyable days.
The staff was super nice all the time. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and the is incredibly good. And more as you are having lunch in front of the sea. That’s awesome!
It’s one of the few hotels in Samudra with WiFi.
It’s super recomendable place to stay if you are looking for an affordable place with good quality.
- It is a nice 3-star hotel with a beautiful big beach.
- There are 2 coral reefs you can swim to, and may even see a sea turtle.
- We had a beach front chalet which was lovely. We especially enjoyed the terrace facing the sea and the racks for drying clothes.
- Easy and quick boat trip to the Long beach.
The property was made out of relatively nice materials, warm shower, 24 hours energy supply, free water for drinking, very nice and friendly attached a restaurant with food international and Thai Food mixed, the diving center attached as well to the hotel delivers first class diving service!!!😀
Everything was good but pretty basic. Location was fabulous, can snorkel just off the beach in front of the hotel but be sure to bring beach shoes because there is a lot of dead coral on the beach. Their breakfast and menu items were good. Overall, we had a great time and would go back.
The hotel is literally on the beach and, from my experience, long beach is the best place to stay if you go to perhentian islands. The rooms are very nice and clean and the owners are so welcoming and kind. I recommend it 100%
The beach of the Perhentian Island resort (one of the most beautiful beach) is only few minutes by walk, you can snorkel with turtles and baby sharks from the beach.
The boat transfer to reach the hotel was nicely organized.
Location is probably one of the best in Perhentian Besar, rooms are clean and everything functional. Make sure to visi Nia Cafe at the beach for mango lassi and roti canai, kak Za makes fresh roti daily.
It is located in one of the most beautiful beaches (Tuna Bay) in Palau Besar. The staff was extremly friendly and helpful. Small grocery shop close to the hotel.
