The amenities (bathrobe & slippers, safe) I didn't like the glass partition on the side of the tub. During showers, it did a poor job of keeping the water from spraying onto the floor. |

The building, like an old closter beside the St Nickolaus is really radiate an atmosphere quite pleasant. The lay out of the room is unique, due to the historical nature of the building, but very nice and really convincing. |

The good location The price is too high in comparison with the lack of luxury of the rooms |

It was central The room was very small, old and aged, the foyer was very cold and un-welcoming. This is definetly not a five star hotel so for those who like the finer qualites of life will not receive it at this Hotel, however, I am informed that it is the best of a bad lot. We booked/payed for double room yet the room was equiped with one of everything!!! |

Friendly welcome; well located; well appointed; comfortable and very clean rooms and public areas; safe; excellent and varied buffet breakfast with helpful staff Coming from Japan where all hotels always have basic amenities (toothbrush, shaver,...), we expected to find some, even though this is not customary in Europe. There was however a well-appointed set of toiletries for ladies. |

Excellent location. Breakfast buffet choice and service ok. Room comfortable although decor could do with being freshened up a bit. |

The staff were amongst the most helpful and pleasant I have ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble to them. The position of the Barbizon could not have been better as, by being beside the Central Station, all the interesting sites were within easy reach either by walking or by using the tram system. The breakfast was poor and overly expensive at 25 euros - 5 star prices for 3 star quality. This was the only thing I could fault the hotel for. |

Extremely comfotable and laaaarge Bed. The Pillow menu was a nice touch also.... Would rather have stayed in the 'contemporary' part of the hotel. Felt the room we stayed in was a bit dated.... |

Liked the late checkout on Sunday. Room service. Put breakfast order on door night before, was collected, no breakfast arrived following morning. |

Being close to the central station At the arrival the receptionist asked for the whole deposit of the amount to be paid for my stay plus 100 guarantee in cash , since I did not have a credit card. When I told the receptionist that I did not have that amount on me that moment , but I could pay immediately for the room, she was very rude and very reluctant to give a key to my room. |
