Woudrichem is a lovely walled village on the river.
Woudrichem is a lovely walled village on the river. Nearby is the castle Loevestein which is reachable by small ferry by bike or walking. The same with the city of Gorinchem. In the high season most restaurants will be open in Woudrichem and there is one for every taste, if not you can go to Gorinchem or other places nearby. It's got a real good feel to it and you can also find the house of 'Dr Tinus' (the Dutch equivalent of Doc Martin) near the river wall.
