This apartment-hotel is in the "old town" part of Drammen, more charming and more restaurants compared to the other side of the river (based on my observation and the comments from my colleagues who were staying in hotels on the other side of the river). The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. Espresso machine worked well - more capsules available at the supermarket across the road. Bathroom well stocked with hand wash and lotion, shampoo/body wash and conditioner. Loved having the washing machine - there was a drying rack and things dried quickly overnight. Bed was very comfy and so was the couch in the living room. Easy to cast from your phone to the TV for apps like Youtube and I believe there was also Netflix. Lovely view of the Bragernes church tower from the window (I was on the top floor). Elin provided quick assistance when asked via the Bookings.com app. Easy to get into the building with the app (download Upkey before your stay....instructions to do this came while I was travelling and it was difficult to download on the move) or a provided keycard and into the apartment with a short number. Short walk over the bridge to the train station - note there is an elevator on the train station side but you have to look for it behind the staircase, and no stairs on the hotel side of the river. Wifi worked very well, in fact better than the office I was working at during the week. Coworker had an even nicer room across the hall from me.
Due to a mistake in planning from our side we arrived at the hotel very early, already at 06:00 , knowing the check in was not until 15:00. We were allowed to have a breakfast already and enter the room no later than 09:30. Very helpful! Late checkout the next day was no issue. All the staff was very friendly. The location is good but not perfect, but the little esteps everywhere make that you can be in the center in 5 minutes anyway.
Room and beds very comfortable.
Breakfast great.
I loved my stay here
I was actually quite surprised by the hotel, because I only book places with a grade above 9, but in Norway it would cost a fortune to do so. The place was very clean, the bed was very confortable, and more important, although the thermostat was set to 17 degrees, we had a really pleasant sleep, because the room insulation was good and we had a thick duvet. Also, our room had a nice view to the mountains and we enjoyed a good breakfast. We really appreciated the staff suggestions for parking and places to eat.
The room was great - very comfy and good amenities. The breakfast was very well stocked... the bunk beds were comfortable for the kids. Lots of (paid) parking right by the hotel and a convenience store less than 5 mins away by foot. Plus, this is right by the train station, if you are reliant on public transport!
This is a nice hotel great for families as breakfast and dinner were included in our room price. We didn't have the dinner as we had other plans however the breakfast was fantastic. The staff here were so happy to be of assistance and super friendly. We enjoyed our stay here.
The reception clerk was very kind and helpful when we asked her to change the room we got. Th gym is great and well equipped. The breakfast was rich and varied, probably the best we had at a hotel in Norway. The hotel is located very close to the train station.
Overall we enjoyed our 2 nights stay at the hotel. The bed was really comfortable and we liked that there was a smart TV in the room so we were able to cast Netflix and enjoy watching our favorite shows.
The room was comfortable and the hotel felt new.
Very good breafast, and so much to choose from. The staff was very nice, they cleaned, vashed and it never got emty for any food.
Nice room with good beds.
The location for this hotel was exellent.
