The hotel is close to many shops and strategic spots. The staff was very kind and helpful. The receptionist helped my husband to locate our taxi driver when he forgot his phone in the car. The staff from the breakfast area was also very nice. The breakfast is great! lots of options

The stuff. Was amazing . thank you Mishel and Tom.
Unique, arty, traditional and lively pretty much sums up the great mix that the island of Tromsø has to offer. The city is home to the unique Arctic Cathedral, an array of pubs, cafés and an energetic street culture.
If you’re planning a day of sightseeing be sure to visit Tromsø Museum, Polar Museum, the University Museum of Tromsø, Mack Brewery, and the Arctic Alpine Botanic Garden.
The city’s main square often holds a variety of markets and its streets are lined with colourful and old-style buildings and houses. Tromsø is one of the best places to view the amazing colours of the Northern Lights.
Nicknamed the ‘Gateway to the Arctic’ due to being a launching point for polar expeditions, Tromsø provides numerous activities such as hiking and kayaking during summer, and skiing and dog-sledding in winter, all in a backdrop of eye-catching scenery.
Tromsø is easily accessible from major cities such as Tallinn, Oslo and Helsinki and Tromsø Airport has direct flights to various European destinations. Check-out Booking.com for a selection apartments and hotels in Tromsø and throughout Norway.
Tromso was a lovely place to stay. We spent 4 nights in Tromso and 3 nights out at Sommaroy and loved the area. We had a hire car for the week which was wonderful, however, we did find that in Tromso there were parking charges everywhere, even at places out of the central city - and also toll roads! We parked to visit a museum, Polaria or even the cable car and, in addition to entry charges, had to pay additional for parking, even well away from the city centre.

Our stay of 4 nights allowed sufficient time to see the town sights & also chase the Northern Lights at night. Tromso in September end offers statistically higher probability of successful viewing of the Northern Lights since this it the time of Autumn Equinox which results in high intensity solar storms. We were successful on 3 out of 4 consecutive days.

Tromso is a great place to visit all year around, summer fo4 the midnight sun and winter for the Northern Lights.
The town is great and easy to walk around - lots to see and do.
The old cathedral in the centre of the town is made of wood and is beautiful. I purchased a bus ticket on the Svipper app to get around for the week - the buses are many and regular - also there are apps to order taxis - quick and easy.
I didn’t take any Norwegian Kroner as most things, including the buses and taxis take cards.

It's a very beautiful place.
It's a very beautiful place. I was lucky with the weather too - it was warm and sunny most of the time.
The central parts can be seen in an hour or two, there are several museums worth visiting - the University Museum being the best in my opinion. The Telegrafbukta is called a beach but it is a bit of an overstatement, though the walk to it is nice and the area is beautiful.
The views from the mountain accross - the Fjellheisen, are stunning and I recommend climbing the sherpatrappa as a good challenge. You can also take the funicular of course.
There are nice boat trips to chose from as well.
The locals are, of course, super cool.
It is challenging to find good vegan food - very few restaurants offer vegan options and they are most often burgers. There is an Indian restaurant that I very much enjoyed but I was mainly overindulging in the salad bars of the SPAR supermarkets once I discovered them.
The location is absolutely fantastic- I saw the Northern lights on the first night in Norway from my window and outside. John and Martha were very friendly and helpful and I had arranged to use their shuttle service (extra add-on) to get picked up at Eidkjosen after taking the No 42 bus from Tromso city centre. It made the travel more affordable and they were very helpful and flexible as far as possible. Kitchen is great and there is a box in the fridge for food.
This house has a great location; you can walk to the city center and there's also a direct bus to the airport. The host is very kind, and the room comes with various facilities, allowing you to cook and do laundry. The host even took us to see the Northern Lights. Grateful for the experience.
The apartment is beautiful, it has all you can dream of . Even a washing + drying machine.
The host is super nice , helped us with all the question even about the weather that enables to see the northern lights.
I really recommend and we are looking forward to come back in the winter.
Well located hotel close to transport, city centre and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent with a wide spread, probably one of the best I have seen. Rooms were comfortable and there was a nice view.
