I booked what I thought was an apartment but ended up being...
I booked what I thought was an apartment but ended up being a small shared apartment. Not being given any information about the fact that I would be sharing this place, during covid-19, neither by the hosts or by their ad on booking. I was told I could not close the door nor lock it. I went to sleep in the bedroom shortly after arriving only to wake up with a strange man standing in the door looking at me. He said he was staying there as well. I had $9000 of equipment with me and was already considering leaving after the lock situation. I spoke with the host about all this and he told me he would refund me through booking. As I was packing the car the host was speaking with the other guest and insulting me heavily thinking I could not understand. When I had left I tried to unbook like we had talked about but he had changed his mind and would not release the funds. After contacting booking the matter was settled thanks to bookings clear understanding of the fact that this all was messed up and I’m very happy with their response. I was asked to leave a review and obviously I gave a bad one. An hour after leaving the review the host called me on my phone and threatened me as well as he insulted me example; ”eff you you effing monkey”. Do not visit this place for your own good, the host is clearly incapable of normal human decency and standards.AdamNorway
