I liked the location and the availability of the airport shuttle! The breakfast was great in the morning. The large room was able to accommodate my 2 cousins, my mother, and myself easily. I would stay there again if visiting Puerto Princesa. I also would like to shout out ate Apple who worked at the tour desk while we stayed there!! She truly was so helpful and kind, and our trip would not have been as amazing without all of her help. Thank you, thank you again ate Apple!

We spent 3 months visiting around Palawan. Started in El Nido then went to Port Barton, then to Sabang, then to Puerto Princesa. Puerto Princesa is the main town for everything (like hospitals and banks and malls). Good foods in El Nido and plenty of island hopping adventures but also quite expensive and touristy (ie. taking advantage of the foreigners). Each place had some interesting adventures. I would say that we overstayed at each place except Sabang where we only stayed 2 nights.

I felt slightly unsafe as a female traveler here, there were not many likeminded travelers around me, it felt very congested and the locals here could not communicate easily with me as an english speaker. I didnt find people to be very friendly here. The beaches/bays here were not very beautiful and there were not many attractions or places to eat good food. Don't recommend staying here as a western traveler if you have the choice of going straight to Port Barton or El Nido (both of which are INCREDIBLE) :)

Nice town to stay and visit the underground river and some nice beaches in the area. There are some good restaurants and some good sea food restaurants. On our last we eat in Kalui Seafood restaurant, a real treat!

Like other cities in the PHL, Puerto Princesa has changed a lot over the past 30 years. More people, more vehicles, more shops, more resorts. One thing that has not changed YET is the respectfulness and courteousness of the local folks.
The highlight of Coron is its many options on island hopping tours.
The highlight of Busuanga is the Calauit Island -- a mini-Kenyan or Tanzanian Safari. The giraffe feeding event in Calauit is more enjoyable than in any giraffe safari in the world due to the sheer number of giraffe that goes to the feeding area.
The highlight of El Nido is its lovely high end resort and the twin lakes tour.
The highlight of Puerto Princesa is the Underground Cave.
San Vicente is now being developed as another option. Its beach is very long so this looks promising.
Having experienced the Palawan highlights, I am content with the peace and quiet at the Dolce Vita Hotel. Important for me is Dolce Vita's clean and deep swimming pool.

We stayed at the Astoria.
We stayed at the Astoria. The one thing that surprised me was they didn't take me ATM cards. I did have credit cards available and my traveling companion was local so I was able to work around it. The bed was a little firm, other than that, the room was perfect. They said the room didn't have a view, but the place is so pretty, the view of the grounds was still magnificent. Especially with the ocean peaking around the next building. The nightly show at dinner was great and the staff was sooooooo nice. We arranged a few tours and saw things like Port Barton and the Underground River. The island is beautiful and I would definitely go back.

The room (Water Villa) was good.
The room (Water Villa) was good. But the beaches are horrible and the food quality is extremely poor.. overall experience was disappointing. One would be better off booking at The or the Ritz Carlton for the same price.

The breakfast was really well prepared..much better than other breakfast included. The staff was awsome and in our first hour we found a tricycle driver that was more than helpful in showing us everything that Puerto Princesa had to offer. That then became our main mode of transportation,,the experience of seeing through a local was fantastic, and he also bragged about the hotel to us..Our only regret was not scheduling more time to visit the area,,,meaning we will be returning..Look for tricycle driver Ryan Rosales...highly recomended......
The hotel is located in a decent and central part of Puerto Princesa. Staff was kind and always eager to offer a smile. They offer great tips and booked our subterranean river tour at a decent price from the competition. We felt like we were staying at our relatives home as some family members lived on site. Breakfast was decent every morning and coffee was tasty. As a bonus, it is walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, and a fun food court (Pagetek Foodcourt).
Hibiscus is an oasis with lovely facilities, pool, garden, hammocks, great food, air conditioning, water provided and great staff. Much better option than a soulless chain hotel.
Laurent the Manager generously helped us with suggestions of roads, beaches, sites, and various accommodations for our 17 day motorbike trip around Palawan. We loved it and would definitely return to Hibiscus.
i love everything about this hotel. the ambiance, facility is very very clean, love the quiet and peaceful surroundings, and also the personnel was very kind, friendly and accommodating. lastly the breakfast, tho it’s a silog meals but it’s also delicious and quiet good 💚 if i had the chance to come back again to puerto princesa this will be my first option. very recommendable. 👏🏻
everything !!!!
Beachfront tropical hideaway secluded branded resort out of town.
We travel a LOT in Southeast Asia and this is a fab hotel - nice pool - lovely staff all smiling and genuinely nice - looks like has had some refurbishment since negative reviews in past.
We will DEFINITELY stay again.
Breakfast has enough to easily fill you up and great is included ….
First time namin dito sa Puerto Princesa kaya we really sought the recommendation of my cousin who is a local in PPS. We requested for a hotel that is conveniently located near the attractions and food places. Also, we have a certain budget lang. This was recommended to us which I can say 101% na perfect recommendation for travelers like us.
Very close to the airport for a convenient first night in Puerto Princesa. There are many stores close by for convenience. Most of all it was extremely clean and well kept with nice showers with hot water, even the balcony was pretty spotless. The staff are also very friendly and super helpful.
The staff makes this place an absolute gem, they do anything in their power to help and are incredibly warm and friendly.
Breakfast is pretty nice and the hotel is great value for money.
Walking distance from most main places in Puerto Princesa
This property is budget-friendly, close to SM Puerto Princesa, walking distance to some restaurants. Lots of carenderia around the area. I'm happy I was there during Baragatan Festival.
They also book tours so it's very convenient.
Used this hotel due to close proximity to Puerto Princesa airport. Only complaint was how it was quite nosey at night, our room looked out onto the road. Rooms were standard and staff were friendly.
Everthing espevially the people who works in the hotel from front desk to housekeeping to FnB and security were fantastic.. for me Ivywall hotel Puerto Princesa City is the best hotel now...
THE STAFF!!!? 💯 The friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered in all the hotels that I’ve been to. thank you so much Microtel Puerto Princesa for making our trip memorable ❤️
The staff were super nice and welcoming, and they were also very helpful with booking our tours around Puerto Princesa. The room was comfortable, and breakfast was good.
