So this gets an 8 even though it met all my needs, only because my 10s go to exceptional, above average places.
Need was comfortable, bathroom was great, but the room was small. However, I didn't hang out on the room, only slept there, so for me, it was fine.
There are a couple good restaurants within 10 min walk and some little markets if you need some water or beer or snacks.
The staff spoke good English and gave me all kinds of tips and suggestions on what to see and when.
I also liked the private parking.

This room was by far not just our favorite of our vacation but one of our favorite hotels we have ever stayed in. Extremely posh without being snooty a very difficult thing for a hotel to achieve. Everything was excellent. My husband said he wanted to live in that room.

Ílhavo is a small town with an interesting maritime museum that is worth visiting. Nice small town.
Nice small town. The hotel is excellent with big rooms,very professional stuff, the spa has dry and Turkish sauna,great pool and jacuzzi. We had a nice dinner and breakfast. The price is real. We could not fault this hotel. The room was very stylish and spacious with a private external terrace with outdoor furniture. The bathroom configuration was great with his and hers handbasins fabulous tiling... all very new. The staff were professional and helpful. The Vista Alegre porcelain everywhere was a bonus as was the museum. The restaurant and indoor pool were great. The bed and pillows were super comfy. The overall ambience was quiet and relaxing. Thoroughly recommended. The general location was not great but we travelled out to Aveiro and Costa Nova and these were both worth a visit.KeithUnited Kingdom

Although not so close to the beach, it suited our needs just fine. The young multi-culti staff was the hit, and the barbecues with DJ that they set up outside in the evenings suited the vibe of the place well. Probably more known amongst the surfing community than anything else, but as non-surfers in our 50s we enjoyed it greatly. Breakfast was freshly made to order and excellent!RogerGermany

Room was clean, comfortable and the bed was great. The breakfast and evening meals were delicious on the whole. Although I didn't like some of the main courses,(my tastes) the starters and desserts were very good so I was delighted with the food available. Breakfast choices were very good. The interior of the hotel was spacious and had a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant was also beautiful.

We got upgraded before arrival and got the suite with the perfect size for a stay with friends. The facilities were up to our expectation and had a lovely time in the spa facility as well as the massage. The staff helped us prepared a surprise for our friends and it was all done really thoughtfully and with kindness. We would recommend this hotel 100% !

The facility was lovely, close to a park, with a common sitting area downstairs. Rooms are small but completely functional and comfortable. Very good value.
