We were very pleased with the apartment: the apartment turned out to be quite warm in early March (we did not use heaters, although they were there), with a beautiful view of the city, the fortress and the ocean from the balconies. It located on a quiet street close to the center, to the hypermarket, to bus station and to the fortress. The apartment had everything for comfortable accommodation: all the equipment worked, the bed and pillows were comfortable, there was cold and hot water without interruption, the neighbors were quiet and went to bed no later than 22:15. We were very pleased with the choice. I can recommend this apartment.

We loved the location in the historic centre, just a short stroll from several excellent restaurants. Our favourites were Akua and Olivia. We preferred this area to the less characterful Hotel Zone and the mega busy Old Town. It felt more relaxed and authentic. The apartment was up three flights of stairs (no lift!) but the views from the balcony and terrace were worth the climb. The highlight of our day was sitting on the patio for evening drinks overlooking the neighbouring church where they held open-air concerts. We were treated to Vivaldi one night and the Beatles another!

Beautiful apartment, two balconies, comfortable bed, great shower, convenient location. Could open all windows and doors and get a good breeze through the place. Had to do this at night as it was very warm and there was no AC. really enjoyed sitting on the sofa with balcony doors open - best breezy spot and really comfy.

.Lovely apartment and a very friendly and helpful hostess.. It's located in a walking distance from restaurants, shops and all the main tourist attractions. Comfortable and vell equipped. A big enough public parking is just 2 minutes walk away. You have to pay for it but it's very cheap, 60c an hour or so. And it's free at night times and weekends. This apartment has a big sun terrace and a balcony on the other side. The view is fantastic, and on some days there is an open air violin concern in the church garden below which we enjoyed from the balcony.

The owner was very nice, waiting for us to hand over the keys despite our very late arrival. The apartment has an excellent location - in the very center of Funchal, close to the seaside and the pedestrian zone. It is located on the third floor of a building that has no elevator, but this is compensated by excellent views - the apartment has a terrace and balcony, on the opposite sides of the building; one facing the fortress and the other facing the city center and the sea. The apartment is big, comfortable and has literally everything one might need during the stay: from an iron and a hair dryer to clothes pegs and ice cube bags. We enjoyed having a glass of wine on the balcony in the evening, watching the rooftops of the city center and the open air violin concerts in the garden of an adjacent church were just the cherry on top.
