Very friendly and helpful owners. Great location, in the historical part of Funchal, at walking distance from the centre of the town and from all the public transports to go anywhere in Madeira. Unimpaired view an the Atlantic Ocean from the large terrace. (Also, always handy, a supermarket nearby)

I thought that this pension was one of the best I have stayed in. The staff were attentive. The breakfast was excellent and more freshly cooked than a 5 star hotel. The cleanliness was extremely good. The view brilliant. The proximity to the city centre - a stones throw. The water was hot.

Friendly and helpful. Staff able to switch languages really quickly and spoke good English. Fridge and microwave available on landing. Great view from balcony and roof terrace. It was quiet despite being so close to the city centre. Had to walk up a steep hill to return.

I have traveled throughout the world. Pensão Vila Teresinha is simply the most pleasant bed and breakfast I´'ve ever encounter. The breakfasts were filling and tasty. My room was very comfortable and clean. There was a pleasant view from the rooftop terrace. Central Funchal with its restaurants and activities was a 5 minute walk down quaint streets. The seaside boulevard and pretty parks were equidistant. But there is another factor--the owners of this family-run pension. Agustinho and Teresinha go beyond the call of duty to make their guests comfortable. They are warm, kind and multlingual. I already miss their smiling faces. Most guests return here when in Madeira. I certainly shall! John M. USA

In its category this pansion is outstanding. The owners of the pansion were very nice, this was exactly as it was written, a familiar and friendly place, where you can experience Portugal hospitality. The pansion is located in the middle city so every site of Funchal is very near. The SAM bus terminal is 5 minutes walk, this means that the aerobus or nomal bus from the airport (take this instead of aerobus or taxi) stops very near to the house. The breakfast was nice continental breakfast with biscuits, tea/coffee, eggs, sausage and cheese, several kinds of breads and jams and butter. The room is cleaned every day. Regarding to the heater, just ask and it will be given to you, (However it is not really needed cause the temperature is almost never below 18ºC.I am always freezing, but here I used that only once.) The orange jucie but it is forgivable because of the nice atmosphere:)

Staff very helpful and friendly. Kettle, microwave crockery and cutlery all available. Good breakfast. Near to city centre & restaurants 5/10 mins walk . Although close to the centre the return was up a steep hill ( Funchal is all very hilly ) No bus stop nearby.(5/10 Mins walk away )

The couple who run the pension were very friendly, the breakfast and the service were good. The room was nice; large and clean. There was a balcony with a fine view over Funchal and the ocean, and it was only a short walk to the city centre. There was some traffic noise from the road in front of the pension. To our opinion the beds were a bit too hard.

The position of the Terasinha is quite convenient for central Funchal although the Old Town, where most of the restaurants are, is about twenty minutes walk away. Also, the walk from the centre is mostly uphill, and so the location is less suitable for people with walking difficulties.. Overall, though, an excellent place to stay. Although the breakfasts are very good the quality of the orange juice needs to be improved

It"s what I would call a family run buisness, our room was kept clean and tidy at all times, the land lord and land lady made you feel like apart of the family, the breakfast was ample especially If your not a first meal of the day person,I would highly recommend Vila Teresinha It"s In the perfect location not too far away or too near from the city centre, quiet location and you were given a key so as to come and go as you pleased which was a big bonus for us!

Wonderful location; few minutes walk to city centre/buses/promenade/restaurants. Augostinho and Caterina were very friendly and efficient and gave us lots of good holiday advice. Our room at the top of the house had a balcony and view which we enjoyed. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice - eggs, toast, rolls, jams, cheese, ham - and set us up very well for a day's walking on the levadas. Our en-suite bathroom could do with modernising sometime.

This is a true gem. The price of stay is very reasonable, the rooms are basic but comfortable. You get access to wireless internet, microwave, fridge. In case you need to copy or print anything, the owners will be happy to oblige. The breakfast is good continental one. They also have a terrace where you can sit in the evening and observe the ocean and the city, a very nice panoramic view. The location is very nice, just a short walk to Funchal centre and to a street where you find restaurants, as well as to shopiing centres. In conclusion, a great place to stay. Everything was just perfect. Maybe the bathroom needs a bit of renovation.

Owners were really friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned every day. Fresh breakfast with a small cake for every morning. Vila is very close to Funchal centre. It takes 10-15 mins to get there. Sea side is also in a short distance. Maybe an iron with an ironboard. But it's not that relevant.
