Deva was a nice city to visit. The attractions I enjoyed most were Giardini di Zoe (very scenic garden), the city centre, the Corvins' Castle in Hundeoara, Sarmizegetusa Ulpia Traiana, the "Prislop" monastery and last but not least, Germisara, where we discovered the roman thermal baths and saw the "Clocota" waterfall.
The best restaurant I got to eat at in Deva was Bord 13.

Deva, it's a lovely town (about 60,000 people) very important for the locals and you can see the locals in their ordinary life. Not much to see; lovely restaurants, a nice small fortress, and friendly people.

Deva bears special significance worldwide, to members of the Unitarian-Universalist Church, as its castle dungeon was the scene of our founder, Francis David's imprisonment and death. Freedom of religion, an idea first proclaimed in Europe at the Diet of Torda in 1568, is associated with his name. His life's work is revered throughout the world. So it was most disappointing that references to his legacy have been removed in today's Deva Castle. The multilingual guide posts convey a generic non-story, totally lacking substance. A visitor is left puzzled whether this occurred by ignorance or by design.

Deva is a beautiful city.
Deva is a beautiful city. We got to see the Deva Airshow which was the highpeak of our stay. It's really easy to get to the citadel by foot from the center town. We didn't stay for a long time so we didn't get to do much but we recommend to visit the citadel at night and the aerodrome.

I like very much Deva and it's surroundings.
I like very much Deva and it's surroundings. Very much too see and visit: the fortress and Giardini di Zoe in Banpotoc are a must do!
Very clean and pleasant town, nice city center with great terraces like The Refresh! Have a fresh there, it's nice!
I also recommand Hanu lui Mos Opinca for a great meal and view over the fortress and the city.
One of the best hotels in Romania! It is quiet and cozy here, the rooms are warm, comfortable and very clean. The bed is soft and comfortable. Breakfasts are carefully prepared and delicious! I was impressed by the people who work in this hotel. Very friendly and kind! I was pleased that they allow accommodation with pets. We are very glad that we were lucky enough to stay in such a beautiful place. Thank you very much for such a warm welcome!
The location is in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance (approx. 25 minutes) of shopping centers, malls, downtown, etc.
The Deva Citadel is literally within walking distance.
The Vila is lovely, modern, and has good parking access. Lots of little technological implementation - such as the electronic door keys, and automatic hallway lighting. The bathroom is a nice size. Communication from the Vila staff/management is good and clear.
The city of Deva does not impress if you arrive by train or bus, but the 20 minute walk to the hotel takes you into a very pleasant neighborhood. Very nearby is a vibrant (depending on the time of day) children's park.
Also nearby is the walking path and funicular up to the Deva Citate.
The small hotel is run by an elderly couple who speak little English, but this wasn't really a problem.
The room was clean and spacious.
The location is superb! The view from the balcony is amazing... a straight view of Cetatea Deva up on the hill. The house is large, well furnished & the kitchen is stocked well with items needed to make meals. Communicating with the hosts was easy (WhatsApp), and they quickly responded to any question we had. The a/c works well, the fridge works, there's even a washing machine in the unit (no dryer, however).
The best apartment in Deva, we are coming back for sure. The owner was very friendly and provided us info about city attractions. Self check out, clean, cozy and quiet apartment at 7th floor, with Deva citadel view. The bed was very comfortable, with high mattress. You have a room closet where you can keep your luggage and makes you feel like home.
The manager (owner?) spoke little English and we don't speak Romanian, but she was so good and ready to please us in every way. She was a sweetheart. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly, and the service was great. All of this transcended the language barrier. We would recommend this to anyone.
Extremely clean location, very comfortable beds, big rooms, coffee, tea and water provided by the host. We could see the Deva fortress from the window. The entry to the location is based on a code provided by the host, very convenient.
Place is very quiet, clen, Laura was very nice and helpfull - many thanks for everything. Definitely will remember this place and will return with pleasure every time when will be in the area of Deva.
From the outside it looks derelict and run down - like all other buildings in Deva - but is nicely made inside. The kitchen has plenty of plates, glasses. Good Wifi and smart TV.
It was close to centre of Deva and they had a really cool self check in system. Breakfast was ok. The lady in charge was nice and gave us tips about were to go in town.
Very pleasant hotel with excellent facilities, spotlessly clean large room. Hosts very welcoming. A very comfortable relaxing night on our transit through Romania.
Great place and really welcoming host.
The room was big, bright and very clean.
It is really close to the Deva fortress.
I highly recommend this place.
