Hotel Lido by Phoenicia

Hotel in Sector 1, Bucharest

Located in the center of Bucharest, Hotel Lido by Phenicia is a historical hotel dating from 1930, designed by the famous architect Ernest Doneaud. Our stay was for six nights and it was the perfect place to experience the city. It is a central location within walking distance to many visitor attractions. Close to restaurants and shopping. This is a small hotel with very friendly staff and we felt right at home. The decor is unique and has a nice lounge to relax in after a day of excursions and walking tours. The breakfast is fantastic. Not once did we feel unsafe on the streets - we came away with an appreciation of the city and the people in it. Thank you Bucharest and thank you Hotel Lido

Filitti Boutique Hotel

Hotel in Bucharest City-Centre, Bucharest

Filitti Boutique Hotel in Bucharest features 4-star accommodations with a terrace and a shared lounge. Providing a restaurant, the property also has a bar. The location is just great, in the old town of Bucarest, very close to all tourist attractions. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the choice was opulent. We liked coffee and croissants (in my humble opinion the best ones in Bucharest). Round the corner there’s a Greek restaurant ‘Mezze’ serving tasty mezzes and just next to the restaurant there is a wine bar serving mostly Romanian wine. The manager of the wine bar is very helpful and attractive to your needs. These two places are off the main noisy tourist restaurants, hence if one is looking for a calm, nice evening, they can go there.

Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest

Hotel in Bucharest City-Centre, Bucharest

Located in the Old Town of Bucharest, Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest is 1312 feet from Bucharest National Theater and provides facilities like free WiFi, a fitness center, and a shared lounge. We really liked this hotel! Staff was so kind Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable Breakfast was very good (although they can serve the waffles by preparing them before and cutting them into 4 pieces for everyone to taste instead of making people wait and create a long queue in the middle of the breakfast area :)) We loved sitting outside of the hotel and watching our surroundings while sipping our coffee after breakfast Location was great, close to old town and easily accessible via bus and metro

FAQs about hotels in Bucharest

Where Modern Meets Old

A fascinating mix of old and new, Bucharest is one of those cities where you can find a futuristic structure of glass and steel next to an old church, separated by a Communist-style massive edifice. Not overwhelmed by its dark past, the city is now turning its optimistic face towards the West.

Undergoing constant modernization, the city continually changes and new modern structures pop up in the city center and beyond. Great examples are the stunning Basarab Bridge, Europe’s widest cable bridge, and the City Gate Towers.

While admiring the new, don’t miss out on the old classics, like the Parliament Palace, the world’s second largest building, with over 3100 rooms and impressive marble interiors covering 81.5 acres. Make sure you check out the view from Nicolae Ceauşescu's balcony!

To fully appreciate the city’s long history, from Vlad the Impaler (aka Dracula) to the ’89 revolution, the city offers free guided walking tours, giving you a great opportunity to discover all the city’s secrets. And spot all the best shopping venues!

Before you land at Bucharest Airport, just 11 miles from the city center, make sure you check what Booking.com has to offer: from hotels to apartments, just a few clicks away!
