Capitol Hotel

Hotel in Sector 1, Bucharest

Hotel Capitol is located close to the University of Bucharest and Cismigiu Gardens in a lively and central area of the city, and features an on-site restaurant. First, Location. Very close to Old Town and to the other historical monuments. I think, the best location, among the 4 Stars Hotels ( I am not comparing with the Apartments), according to the value of the stay. Second, Front office service. Congratulations to all team, especially Muntean who is really hard worker. GM Marius Dorin was very helpful everytime we met. He had sincere and warm welcoming. The room was changed as per request, which was a very good sign from the beginning, Marius gave the instruction. The room had balcony which I had enjoyed for smoking. The room was very clean and matress was comfortable. Bathroom was modern and large enough. Breakfast was satisfactorily good with tasty cheese, salami and eggs. Lunch was recommended by several parties and I believed that it was tasty and worthy for the value after I have visited 2 times, the proof was the delicious odors inside the restaurant. But I had no time to to try it. No doubt, the food they served was in quality. I will recommend the Capitol to my friends definitely. If you are not a fan of luxury, if you dont want to pay more than 100$ which is not required for min. 2-3 days, ( I dont know the rate for high seasons), this hotel will satisfy you highly enough! I am not exaggerating, they are always fully booked almost every day in these low season time, too!

FAQs about hotels in Bucharest

Where Modern Meets Old

A fascinating mix of old and new, Bucharest is one of those cities where you can find a futuristic structure of glass and steel next to an old church, separated by a Communist-style massive edifice. Not overwhelmed by its dark past, the city is now turning its optimistic face towards the West.

Undergoing constant modernization, the city continually changes and new modern structures pop up in the city center and beyond. Great examples are the stunning Basarab Bridge, Europe’s widest cable bridge, and the City Gate Towers.

While admiring the new, don’t miss out on the old classics, like the Parliament Palace, the world’s second largest building, with over 3100 rooms and impressive marble interiors covering 81.5 acres. Make sure you check out the view from Nicolae Ceauşescu's balcony!

To fully appreciate the city’s long history, from Vlad the Impaler (aka Dracula) to the ’89 revolution, the city offers free guided walking tours, giving you a great opportunity to discover all the city’s secrets. And spot all the best shopping venues!

Before you land at Bucharest Airport, just 11 miles from the city center, make sure you check what Booking.com has to offer: from hotels to apartments, just a few clicks away!
