Not the best city for vacation. We stopped over for a night due to the lengthy distance between Dubrovnik and Romania. Too much graffiti, kind of dirty as well and it doesn’t feel as safe as other countries that we visited.
But the accommodation and the traditional food were a very pleasurable experience.

Belgrade is a beautiful city but the accommodation is very poor for the rating given and restaurants tried to add a surcharge to the bill. The airport is very basic with no restaurant or any food to be purchased anywhere.

I had low expectations of the city.
I had low expectations of the city. In fact it was relatively welcoming and fun. It appears quite lively. English spoken widely. I did not experience negative attitudes. Food was a bonus, good quality and value. I doubt vegetarians are well catered for.

Belgrade is modern. It is a big city.
Belgrade is modern. It is a big city. Not reallybthat much history to show as other cities in the Balkans. You take a 2 and half hours walk-in tour and you saw enough. It is a vibrant city. Party city. Full of clubs and parties all over. Good for those searching for party and fun. For tourists searching for history and the former yoguslavia heritage, 2 says is enough.
There are many traditional food, like the balkans, but too much meat. Most of them heavy food. The local Serbian hambúrguer is too big and really not special or tasty Locals are not that much nice, but not rude. They have their special way. The sunset by the river or by the fortress is a must seen

Very strange place around the new train station.
Very strange place around the new train station. Earlier, the train station was located next to the bus station and it was convenient. For some reason, it was moved to a new place where there are no facilities, no shops, and you can only get there by car or bus and then a 7-minute walk, which definitely won't be something pleasant because you'll be walking with a suitcase, swallowing dust from the highway with a view of some unfinished buildings and concrete overpasses dilapidated and covered with graffiti. This last scene spoiled the whole impression of the city.
Hotel is on convinet location for city exploring and in quiet part of town. Staff was very kind.
Room is spacious with high cealing so it was enough air in it without bad smells.
Linen and towels was very clean and bed comfortably enough.
Breakfast was excellent and if you like basic and tasty local food this is one of the best hotel breakfast that I had in Belgrade.
Very important is that hotel had its own parking space which is very valuable in parking problematic main city of Serbia.
Large rooms, very comfortable beds, very clean, high-speed WLAN, diverse Breakfast Options.
Ideal for an overnight rest for travelers on the way to vacation destinations in the south east or for the tourists planning to enjoy the tourist attractions in Belgrade. Very good price-performance ratio! Lower prices then the central area Hotels, Taxi fees at aprox 10€ from the hotel to the city center.
Thumbs up for the Hotel-management and Staff! Keep up the good work!
By far the best, cleanest and most memorable accommodation experience in Serbia. The hosts met us at the apartment, showed us the facilities and the map of Belgrad with some recommendations. They were incredibly nice and kind! Spoke English very well. Belgrade had power failires because of a storm during our stay and they did everything to keep us updated and even organised us some matches so we could light candles. Definately coming back if we are ever in Serbia.
The restaurant/hotel is perfectly situated in a quiet street close to the international bus station, the market and the city center. You can virtually get everywhere in the city from there as there are several busses and trams of the public transport round the corner. The rooms are cosy and clean and the restaurant with its beautiful garden offers Serbian specialities. I think I finally found a place to stay in Belgrade in the future.
I booked this hostel after reading the reviews here and was not sure how it would turn out to be but I would like to let you all know that this is one of the best hostels to stay in Serbia.
The hostel management was too cooperative and friendly. Special thanks to Snežana who took care of all our requests.
Pros:
Near to
City center
Kalemegdan
Clubs along the river belt
Lot many cafés and grocery stores
Etc. etc.
Cons:
None ✌️
Hosts are amazing, everything went super easy with organization. They provided transportation to the airport even when I asked super late for it. Host is always available and super responsive. Room was very clean, size of a big hotel room, great for short stay. Building is new, there are some works still going on but its good location. I felt safe walking around. The best part is host for sure, I'd stay again when in Belgrade.
The best 4* hotel I've ever seen. It's old fashioned XIX century hotel with polite staff, carpeted floors, historical furniture in lobby, ample breakfast. The room was comfortable too, and my bathroom was like a second living room. The hotel is situated in 2 min from Knez Mihajlova street and the same 2 min from bus stop Brankov most (bus 72 to airport). The Belgrade bus station is 15 min by feet.
The hotel is well decorated, perfect facilities. It’s located right next to Sava River and the city center, with wonderful views and convenient transportation. The staffs are very nice, chatted with them and made friends. The kitchen also serves great food. We had 4 breakfasts and also one dinner there! The stay is really exceptional, would recommend to everyone coming to Belgrade.
I stayed at the hotel for the second time, and this time due to its very close location to the stop of bus 72 connecting the airport and city center - it's only a 10 minute walk. This bus runs even at night, so it is very convenient for both late and early arrival/departure to Belgrade via the airport. In addition, all major sights of Belgrade are within walking distance.
The hotel's hall staff were so helpful about everything we needed in Serbia. The owner gave us many great recommendations where to eat and where to go etc.. . Also the owner offered to join us going to the police office because unfortunately our mobile phone was stolen somewhere in Belgrade. As summary the hotel is very friendly & cool. Thanks to everyone working there.
We were upgraded from the Apartments to the Hotel Serbian Garden, and stayed in quiet yard-side rooms.
The location was convenient just a few minute walk from the city center. The manager, Maja, and the staff (Ivana and her colleagues) were very helpful in arranging airport transfer, Covid-19 test booking and report printing, etc. Thank you so much!
I am coming to Vivio for a second time and it's definitely one of the best apartments in Belgrade city center. Very fast Wi-Fi, sparkling clean, very big and comfortable beds, full of amenities and with perfect host. Top location, which was most important thing for me and apartment privicy. Highest recommendations!
The fact that the apartments are only few minutes from the centre and for that kind of money, it is amazing! From there, you can go by foot to the old town, belgrade fortress, serbian parliament etc. The apartments are very spacious and look just like on the picture, everything is clean and modern. Very nice.
The best in Belgrade
➕ Nothing changed! This hotel is still keeping its standards, I must say that this staff is one of the best ones we had a chance of meeting. Everybody is super polite and nice. Thanks for the nice treat, cannot wait to be back.
The staff was what made the difference in my stay... they were super friendly, helpful, and kind. The room was quiet and comfortable. The neighborhood has authentic Serbian restaurants/pastry shops and it's easy to take the bus to the city center.
This was the best hotel we stayed in Serbia by far. The staff is amazing, very helpful and friendly.
They helped us with our covid testing arrangements.
The room was specious and clean, very warm during winter.
Nice hotel 15 minutes taxi drive from Belgrade airport. Sweet head waiter Tamara, who half told me an excellent restaurant serving Serbian cuisine nearby. A delicious breakfast and friendly staff.
Probably the best location in town. One of the biggest garages in downtown is nearby, as well as the most popular downtown bars. Hotel’s bar and restaurant is one of true iconic Belgrade’s places.
the best Hotel to stay with nice view and friendly staff, the best location... right in front of city center..
we spent 1 week, was amazing stays..
Breakfast was very nice... Top!
