It's an ugly city.
It's an ugly city. So many buildings are old and dirty, reminding me of the old communist Yugoslavia. There are many tags everywhere. I saw some new constructions and visited houseboat restaurants on Sava, which were nice. Young people and night ambience are wonderful.

Not the prettiest or most exciting city I've ever been to. The locals are friendly and I really enjoyed the traditional food. You can pretty much walk everywhere which is very handy. Beware that nearly everyone smokes, including in cafes and restaurants. There are almost zero non-smoking locations. The inside part of the cafe at Moskva Hotel was the only place I found to sit smoke-free. Thankfully they also do great cakes there.

The apartment itself is very cozy and has everything you need for your stay. And Jovanna and her parents were very helpful and nice. I stayed there for 5 days. The atmosphere of hospitality maintained by the hotel personnel makes you feel like at home. It smells very fresh and odorous all around. Although the hotel is located in the city center, it is in very environmentally friendly zone, right on the bring of botanic garden. Beds and all furniture stuff are very comfortable. Will definitely visit this place if come back to Serbia.
