Breakfast very good, big selection of cold and warm dishes. Room suitable for the family with kids. There is even a curtain dividing the room in two. Bathroom well equipped and clean. In the room on the lake side, a very nice view. In the same building, there is a possibility to play bowling and there is a swimming pool. In the village, there is a lot of good restaurants.

Lovely hotel, in the chalet style with wood and fire places everywhere. We were warmly welcomed by the people at the reception and the food at the restaurant was awesome (both breakfast and dinner). Last but not least, the sauna was a big plus.

I love to ski at Åre and go annually.
I love to ski at Åre and go annually. The mountain is excellent with a large variety of terrain. I mostly ski advanced terrain but there is also a nice mix of intermediate and beginner slopes. For advanced skiers, head to the VM:8. Its worth trying Duved for Intermediates and Björnen for the beginners. I usually go on the train from Stockholm which is very convenient and fast to go city center to town center. It's really nice to stay in Åre By where there are restaurants and stores. Apres ski at Fjällgården and Årehyddan are great as is the atmosphere at Broken.

Are was great, but the surroundings were amazing.
Are was great, but the surroundings were amazing. Loved staying in the town near the funicular railway, however, we were XC skiing so had to drive to the resorts. Skiied at Bjornen, but the real secret is to drive out to Valadalen which is magical. Beautiful scenery, clean air, very few people and fabulously maintained ski tracks.

Pretty nice place for cross-country skiing!
Pretty nice place for cross-country skiing! The trucks in Bjornen are very well structured: 1,3,5,7.5,10 and 15 km, with and without steep slopes. Glogg was served for free on the Christmas Eve. Very good cafes and ski rental services.

Excellent location for anyone looking for some adventurous...
Excellent location for anyone looking for some adventurous outdoor activities. Beautiful scenery, fresh air and a very pleasant atmosphere.
My favorite locations include Åreskutan (the peak of Mount Åre) accessible via cable car or hiking, the chocolate factory and also the waterfall Ristafallet located about 15 km from Åre.
Good living room space for evening activities while having a quick ski center operated/ski card access bus to the slopes. (They don't really seem to check the tickets so on your first day with your ski gear you can probably just get to slopes on the bus and buy your lift pass for the day after the bus ride which would then have been active for your first trip. Also the ski pass apparently counts as parking permit... Might want to ask around more for that.)
Well equiped apartment, everything in the kitchen, 2 toilets, and one shower, and a sauna, washing machine and a loundry/boots dryer. Felt new. Well sound-insulated from theneighbours. Some 20 minutes walk to the nearest lift and the village centre. The Holiday Club Eatery was expensive and not particularly delicious, better go for the willage to eat out. Main stores and train station 5 mins walk away.
An outstanding appartment- great views over Åre Lake and the village. Fully equipped kitchen, sauna, spacious living room/kitchen, two large bedrooms and two smaller ones - plenty of space as we were a family of four. Excellent facilities, from indoor parking to drying cupboard (for clothes) - we found all we needed. Truly a home away from home.
Very nice, clean, quiet and comfortable place. Will definitely come back when I am in Are again. Really enjoyed breakfast - not just food but also vibes of the place. Owners were super kind and helpful. Complimentary tea/coffee and use of washing machine is just another plus.
We have the hotel all for ourselves on the 2nd night during non-peak season. Everything is perfect and comfortable. We have the top floor, the scenary is perfect. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for skier. Breakfast is perfect. Cozy hotel.
Included activities such as Paddleboard and Kayaking are truly awesome. Equipments are in good condition and activity staffs are really helpful and friendly. Location is top notch especially if you are travelling by train. Pool is also nice and included.
The staff are very friendly and the facilities were available to us in the morning before we checked-in and after we checked-out. It was very handy to be able to shower before we caught the train. They also brew excellent beer.
The apartment is really spacious, modern, and newly built or renovated and decorated with style. The views are very wide and nice and the Ristafallet waterfall is close by.
Friendly and warm atmosphere. The quality of the Spa/Sauna was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast and breakfast room had a nice vintage feel to it. Great place to stay in Åre.
Breakfast was great, but it would have been good if it had started earlier. The hotel itself was fabulous, with a lot of character. Pity we couldn’t eat or drink there!
OK room. Shared bathroom was clean. It was quiet when I stayed (read that many visitors found the place very noisy due to the bar downstairs). Good value for money
