clean room comfortable bed
slow WiFi awkwardly planned bathroom
Free Wi-Fi Helpful reception staff
Requested a bath and lower floor room, but got neither The work in the front (and pretty much all around) the hotel is ugly and intrusive. Thankfully we travelled on a weekend and there was no noise.
Sky Bar is nice and view is nice over the river and the harbour.
The Hotel is located in the middle of construction site. Soundproofing was quite poor.
Location near port and fish market is perfect.
comfortable rooms, helpful staff at the restaurant and breakfast, good location
personnel at the front desk (not all, but generally very rigid), no announcement on the web-site about major construction works around the hotel
Goteborg is a wonderful city and University town. I could return and love it. I believe that Booking.com or the hotel should have alerted us the roadworks as they are MAJOR and will continue until summer 2015. the rest of Goteborg is fantastic
Building a new tram line directly in front of the hotel all along the waterfront made us want exit the area quicksmart each day.
Breakfast was good
We booked hotel because of the sky bar so we had a view over the harbour but sky bar was closed after paying extra for a room with a sea front view .we found out we had exactly a harbour view through a small window of 1,2 square meter overall completely disappointed .we are very frequent travelers so we know what is correct or not
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
The breakfast could be better.
The hotel, although a little outre, would have been OK if it hadn't been for a huge building site outside and whose workers started banging things at 7am. This is an occupational hazard when booking online, but it is almost fraudulent to charge normal prices for an abnormally uncomfortable experience.
The pillows. The small stuff that really matters. Great location.
Loved everything about this hotel.
Fantastic experience. Great Staff. Thanks
Staff was great, excellent location to get to the ferry. It's a tiny bit outside the centre, but it's still close to everything.
The glass walled bathroom. Very weird, even with the curtains for partial privacy. But we both managed to figure out a plan :)
The staff is nice Rooms are modern Reasonable price Nice views if you are facing the river Convenient location to some nice restaurants/bars
Tiny rooms Construction outside the hotel on the street Breakfast was just OK - not like the one at the Elite Plaza
Good location. Great breakfast.
No air conditioning on our room.
Comfortable and modern hotel. Good breakfast.
Check in too late, not before 4 p.m. They charged for a bottle of wine that we hadn´t drunk, although finally the issue has been fixed. The first day I just put down the smallest tower into the floor so that they could change it (just this one). They didn´t changed it, just put it again next to the toilet...bad impression as you don´t take care of this small details... More difficult accesibility now for the refurbishement Works just next to the hotel.
staff very cordial and helpful, location gives easy access to most everything, very good breakfast, sweets at the reception, impeccable cleanliness, strongly recommended.
extra bed not too comfortable
The room was small but ok. We were "upgraded" to a "designer room" on the top (11th) floor. The view was fantastic overlooking the port and river beyond. The breakfast choice was excellent and the staff were very nice and helpful.
The hotel has no Air Conditioning - but more of that later. The room looked great (if you like that look) but was very small and rather cramped. We had plenty of luggage as we were touring Denmark, Sweden and Norway so the room was rather congested. The "designer room" on the 11th floor was impractical. The bathroom walls were all glass and of course 'see-through'. There was a curtain but this did not cover the door to the bathroom. The glass shower door was missing as some had exploded previously injuring a guest so all shower doors had been removed! As a result, everytime we showered, water covered the rest of the bathroom floor and we had to spend time mopping it up. Once used, the glass basin looked shabby; a non-functional soap dish which was just a small piece of glass - everything in the bathroom is glass. The toilet roll is about 1.5 metres away from you when seated - quite impractical unless you don't mind getting up as it's a long stretch! No shelves to put any toiletries on - a common fault in nearly all hotels. The designer should be made to stay in the room for a week!!! The worst thing about this hotel is that there is no air conditioning. We arrived when Scandinavia was in the middle of a heatwave - 33 C. every day. The corridors were extremely hot. They had a lot of glass windows which did not open - so impractical. The designer/architect should go back to college. The management gave us a small fan which did nothing except push hot air around the room. Sleeping was very difficult for the 3 days we were there. I nearly booked Radisson Blu nearby which has a/c but this hotel was suggested by a friend who lives by the hotel. In the winter the hotel would be great. If you don't mind no view, I would suggest you opt for the lower floors 1-6 as these have not been ruined by an impractically minded designer! If the weather is cool, go for floors 7 -11 for a great view.
Because of traffic work has been difficult to reach. Private parking is quite expensive but very safe. Endowment exceptional even slippers for the night. Beautiful restaurant on the twelfth floor with prices in line with the standards in Sweden. (dinner for two costs a little less of the room) Is worth! Excellent value for money. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast
Just road work made difficult to reach, but it's a temporary issue.
Hotel in general good.
We were not aware in advance about the works in front of the hotel starting at 6.30 in the morning. There was no mentioning on booking.com
The room was nice and clean. Good breakfast.
Lobbybar was closed for renovation. The hallways and lobby require some decoration
The staff were very helpful and patient. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Lack of air con in the rooms made it a little difficult to sleep but the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were the best pillows I've ever had at a hotel.
Location, easy to reach with car
Check in hours, 16:00 and no flexibility.
friendly staff generous buffet breakfast sky bar view and cocktails good location sauna and jacuzzi
No air-con No pool or gym building work outside (Aug 14)
Immaculate and comfortable. We needed to leave at 4:00 am (before breakfast) and they sent us on our way with breakfast bags.
It was very warm and we didn't see any air conditioning, but there was a fan in the room which was a big help.
