All the Smokovecs are excellent as a base for a longer stay in the Tatras - they are very well communicated with the other towns along the foot of the mountains, so you can reach most of the trails quite easily (and get back afterwards). The city of Poprad is also very easy to reach by the electric train. The town itself has several interesting old buildings, and is not short of good places to eat and relax.DawidPoland

The center of Stary Smokovec is also in easy walking distance. For visitors without car, this location is optimal, as it isn't too far from either end of the Tatra railway. The building and the furniture are brand new and modern. The apartment has plenty of space for 4 people. The beds are very comfortable. A large table is well suited for family meals. Nice bathroom. The staff was nice and helpful.

Throughout our stay the staff did everything to insure we had a wonderful holiday. The facilities more than met our expectations. From the reception, the restaurants, wellness center, to the bowling bar the staff were most curtiest. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were outstanding with a wide variety off dishes to select from. Adjacent to the hotel is a ski slope which is also well maintained.StefanSlovakia

Amazing program was prepared each day and children were given the opportunity to participate in different activities. Loved the small snack table with fruit tea and freshly baked pancakes or cookies available all day long for the children. The rooms were nice and clean with white sheets and towels. Good 2 ski slopes located just by the hotel.

The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. You can drink tea or espresso coffee for free at any time. The family suite is spacious and comfortable, the bathroom is well equipped. The view from the room's balcony is wonderful. The most amazing thing was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff.
