Apartman Astrum is located in Poprad, just 17 miles from Strbske Pleso and 20 miles from Dobsinska Ice Cave. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. I felt as if the property was very secure and that we were safe. The hosts were very accessible but not at all intrusive. I liked the patio in the front for my morning coffee and Bible study because the sun hit's it very nicely and there is a river with trees across the street so it's very peaceful. The beds were comfortable and we all loved the pillows especially. There's a clothes washer and a small dishwasher which made the stay much more convenient. We were there for a futball national training camp, and this was a great location to the stadium. There's also beautiful hiking near by in every direction...we hope to come back soon. Thanks so much!

Apartment Highway is located in Poprad, just 16 miles from Strbske Pleso and 20 miles from Dobsinska Ice Cave. This apartment is 21 miles from Treetop Walk and 27 miles from Spis Castle. The couple who run this are so sweet. We stayed 3 nights. You'll feel like you're staying with family. They offered us a ride to go hiking and to the train station because it started snowing the day we left. I liked that the bedroom has it's own private area with an electric heater when the radiator wasn't on. The kitchen is well equipped and you even get tea and coffee 🙂 they don't speak English but we didn't have trouble communicating with the translator. Highly recommended! Oh and they even baked us a cake on our last day.
This is the village where my husband's grandfather lived most of his life until he was about 17/18 years old. We came to explore our family tree and ended up meeting about 19 family members during our 2 night stay in Batizovce. We also drove up to the High Tatras (just 30 minutes away) and walked around the lake at Strbske Pleso then enjoyed a lovely meal at the Grand Hotel Kempinski. Our only complaint was that there really isn't a fully operational restaurant in the village. We had to drive to Svit (which was only about 5 minutes away) but we would have preferred to walk somewhere. The village only has 9,500 residents so maybe they just don't have the numbers to have a restaurant that is open more than a few hours each day.
Belly slavkov is a small village with only a small supermarket, which has by the way very low prices. Apart from the resort and restaurant nothing of interest. The best is proximity to the Tatra mountains
Very nice place, lots of restaurants, pubs, bars, playgrounds, swimming pools, mall centers. Close to the mountains with mountain railways and walking/ski trails, small etc. We've been there twice, we'll return for sure:)
It's my 3rd stay in this place and I find it convenient. Either going for hikes or visit Poprad town there is no issues as there is a train that can bring you to any of those locations every hour. It's quiet place and perfect to relax and recover from daily mountain trips! Will definitely return there again!
We have been visiting Poprad every winter for the past couple of years. The snowboarding facilities are outstanding, and the food is great! This summer, we decided to explore Poprad and its surroundings, and we were not disappointed. A visit to the Belianska ice cave is a must!
Great place with a view of High Tatras. If you have a car, you can travel to High Tatras, Low Tatras, Slovensky Raj and other places with superb hiking trails all within hour or two drive from the city. High Tatras can also be reached by train. After long day of hiking you can relax in AquaCity (I suggest not going there on friday evening as it had much more people than we expected). Grocery stores like Tesco, Lidl and Kaufland are available, also Decathlon if you forgot some of your hiking gear at home. A variety of cute cafes and restaurants if you want to eat out (Restart Burger was supreme). Take in mind that weather changes quickly at the mountains so dont forget to watch the weather forecast every day.
